View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst my computer was cutting off in the middle of any program. I decided to delete everything on the drive and reformat it and reload windows xp. While trying to load windows xp it would load the set up but when going to load files it locked up everytime. I tried also loading windows 98, 95 and they too locked up. At one point it said I had a virus in my boot sector and at another time it said I had a virus in my RAM. I got a program called PC Beginner to help partition my drive and redo the MBR. I can partition the drive and format it but windows still doesn't load. Now I wonder if there is a problem with the mother board and I have a dual bios board, I was wonder if there is a program loaded in the dual bios that may somehow causing my problem. If so what can be done to clear the problem? How can I get windows reloaded?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI m using windows xp I can't download Yahoo Messenger. A two step process, it gets stuck on the second process. Right after I hit the second "run" button it tells me: "Could not load the DLL library. The specified module could not be found." When I go under system 32 I find a ton of dll files.I am pretty new to computers. I asked a friend who isn't sure and another suggested googling DLL, which is what brought me here. One of the websites said i would find the files in the System 32 folder and so looked in there. Now I am writing you.

When I right click almost anything I get the explorer has encountered a problem and has to close. always the faulting module kernel32.dll. Then immediately another box appears with the drwatson postmortem debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close, I then have to ctrl alt del to close the drwtsn.exe and get my desktop back.
I have been having problems in psp7 with ntdll being the faulting module.
I run the bare minimum start up programs and have ran all virus and spyware scans. I have googled this problem until.
Im running windows xp pro sp2. AMD 2400
Have loads of disk space and plenty of free RAM.LV.
Every tme I am starting any new software on my windows 98 SE, I get an odd message error with black exclamation on yellow trian gle background: "Plik SWISHMAX.EXE jest polączony z brakującym eksportem KERNEL32.DLL:RestoreLAstError." Then I click ok, and there appearsnew error message: The device can't work.
I've been getting a lot of trouble with my computer lately; specifically, the desktop will disappear and show nothing but my background, then reappear, but some things in the taskbar tray will be gone, including Norton. Some programs reappear, but Norton never does until I restart. First off, is this Explorer crashing?
This error has been posted here before and Rollin' Rog has given me some pointers but to no avail. The problem that a friend of mine is facing is the following:

"The procedure entry point CreateDirEctoryW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"
Now I'm no genius, but I think something has gone horribly wrong... is there any solution?
Can you help me get the KERNEL32 back in it's right place? This is the messege that popped up on the desktop on Windows 2000 OS:

Both IE7 and Outlook crash when viewing certain websites. Both come up with a

Is it possible to ungroup the music list in the library? Just like in WMP10 just like this one.
This is one of the reason I'll probably stick to 10 (or other player) even when the final build is release (unless of course it's possible).
I've just bought an MP3 player and I've installed the software that is packaged with it. The program searched my HDD for all types of audio files and added them to my Library. What happened next was a complete blunder on my part: what I did was go through each file in my Library and delete those that I didn't want and keep those I did. I didn't pay any attention to what I was deleting, and I believe what I did has to do with a disk problem I'm havin'. I don't think my computer recognizes my D drive anymore (excuse me, please, I don't know much-- I mean the drive that plays DVDs/CDs). When I view My Computer, the D drive isn't displayed. Another example: when I'm in WMP and tryin' to copy tracks from a CD onto my HDD, there isn't a D drive listed to upload from.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIf you have moved your music around on your hard drives, Windows Media Player continues to add new entries into it's library instead of modifying the existing ones. This means that you will now have multiple entries for the same song, half of which will not work now because you have moved the files to their new location. To delete the current library and build a new one, do the following:1. Close Windows Media Player, wait about 3 seconds for the database to close.2. Using "My Computer", navigate to the following folder:F (or whatever drive is appropriate for you):Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataMicrosoftMedia Index3. Delete the "wmplibrary....db" file here. This is not your actual music, only the database which Windows Media Player uses as a listing.4. Start Windows Media Player5. Hit "F3" and enter the location where you have moved your music to. If it is on muliple drives, check "All Drives". Let it finish. You're Done! All the old listings will now be gone, and you will only have the new accurate ones.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIn Win-Explorer, whenever I right-click on a file or folder, then I get a dread message that "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close"; the error points to kernel32.dll and eventually a similar message comes up regarding Dr.Watson.
Q. Is there any way other than a re-install of WinXP to re-enable the right click function?
Q. Is there some utility that I might run to restore the capability that I had or perhaps to UNinstall something that I could possibly put back?
Since I'd don't right click very often, am not sure but believe that the problem may have resulted from the installation of Nero8Ultra.
Each time i start up my Windows 2000 proffesional pc, I get an error message "kernel32.dll" just in a grey box and no options or anything. I had a problem withmy pc a while ago, had it wiped, and the other day i went on, it came up, i wasnt sure what it was so i just closed it :s, then i did my weekly virus scan, however mcafee doesnt work, also the internet is unbelieveably slow and often just says this page is unavailable. Msn messenger still works fine though?
View 14 Replies View RelatedAfter installing xp home updates yesterday, my machine rebooted itself, then continued to reboot (xp would start to load then my pc would reset itself and start booting again)
Booting windows with the "dont automatically restart system on failure" option revealed I had a corrupt kernel32.dll, which was fixed by using recovery console to copy the file over again.
Once this is done, xp will boot. Then it tells me to update.
how can i terminate this error??because of this error i am unable to install TweakUI.
