My computer have following problem, can you please give me some advise how to fix it ? when connect to boardband (cable modem), the computer hang up or sometime reboot automately. (if disconnect boardband the computer work fine) Also IF use 56K dail up to connect internet, there is no problem at all.

View 8 Replies View RelatedAs a result of installing a game (Fear) ...i now have major graphic issues across windows, the game installed fine, but went belly up threw the into movie (graphically)......I've uninstalled the game, uninstalled my Ati drivers (XTreme-G WarCat Drivers for ATi) along with Catalyst and the corruption is still there after numerous reboots - have I broken my graphics card??? ....the corruption is everywhere, it comes and goes in all windows..... you can even swirl it around with you're mouse! I haven't installed the drivers again just incase a reformat is needed - would that do the trick?? ......the game installed DX9c august during setup.... but then I patched the game with the latest game update - maybe the conflict is there ...
View 4 Replies View Relatedi have my mother-in-laws 2kpro system that stopped booting last week with a blue screen stop error. chkdisk fixed some security descriptor problems, and i it has worked fine until today. w2kpro splash screen appears, status bar fills up, and the disk continues to chatter for a few seconds then bammmm... hard reboot. everytime. No safe mode/or safe mode command prompt.
ran wd diag on the HD it returned error 0223, which it said it fixed. chkdsk then fixed errors. So i thought i might be good to go. But still the hard reboot at the same point in the boot process. I deleted an old iomega driver, iomdisk.sys that seemed to be causing problems and that didn't help. Could this be a driver problem? any logs i can check via recovery console? Bad hardware? I sure would appreciate any help. I follow directions well and can even "rtfm" if necessary!
Anybody knows where can I find a board with 4 USB and 4 SATA(Internal) ports at the same board?

But now I cannot connect to the internet, and my graphics card is not recognized. Under device manager there is a, 1394 net adapter, under network adapters. But here is a list of the ones that have a yellow exclamation mark next to them,Ethernet Controller, Multimedia Audio Controller, PCI Simple Communication, SM Bus Controller, and Video Controller.

If you sucessfully answer this though I promise to donate to the forums really.I have a customer running Windows XP Home hooked up to a DSL line. Only 1 user can get access the internet. In that account its fine. In all other accounts I can't do anything get online. Ping a a URL address etc.I checked and all acounts are set up as administrators. I ran scans with Ad-Aware and SpyBot SD. While I did clean out a lot of junk (including Virtual Bouncer and Spyware Stormer) I still can't get online with any other accounts. Also I can't get online if I boot into safe mood with networking as admin. I know this is either a REALLY simple setting some where or a horribly complex problem.

No matter how long I let it load, it just wont move past that screen. Similar issue with IMDB, site works fine until I try to play a video. I get a whole lot of nothing. We have to manually turn the computer off and back on and it takes several minutes before it comes to the main screen. I did a system restore, turned off the screensaver, ran a virus check with Norton 2004, and it is still occuring and has hung up 5 times today. We do not have internet access to this computer, so I do not think there is a virus on it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedBeen using Registaryfix v5.5 on my computer to check for problems, but the last time i used it i found that my computer seemed to hang when it loaded up windows. i used safe mode and restored my reg files using registary fix to their original state. it's working ok now but... should i trust this software, or is it because i don't know what im doing with it i should be carefull? View 2 Replies View Relatedwell, this problem started a little while ago, Ive got a 2.93ghz P4, and 1GB memory, so i know my computer is (plenty) fast enough.when i click on the button in the start menu "Turn Off Computer", my PC shows the hourglass, and i cant click on anything, this will go on for about a minute or 2, once it took 5 minutes. then the small box with shutdown options comes up finally, and then after the light blue screen gets to "Shutting Down...". it takes maybe a bit longer than expected but im not to sure about that.

this happens in all modes, safe mode, networking mode, iv tried just about everything.I tried to use my xp disk and it doesnt load it, I have set it too boot from the disk aswell, and it makes no difference it just loads as normal and then logs out againIv made a boot floppy disk, and it lets me get to a form of DOS screen, but its useless, all the commands dont work, I have put the xp disk in, and tried too use the dos too install xp but it doesnt do anything
I had a bad virus on my computer and I wanted to boot it into safe mode. So I tried and everytime I tried it wouldn't work. I kept getting this message on a blue screen saying my video driver failed to initialize and it shut down automatically but it would boot up normal if I didn't try to go into safe mode.So I read that you could set your computer to automatically boot into safe mode from msconfig so I went in and set it to boot into safe mode automatically every time I powered up. So I turned off my computer and tried to.No matter what I do, no matter what option I select the blue screen with the error about my video driver comes up and it shuts down automatically.

Once I put it on there everytime I go to shutdown the computer will say "It is safe to turn off your computer" and I have to shut it down manually by the power button.
