Increasing Corner Gestures Size?

I'm running an old touch screen in a mobile environment. And while I see great benefit to using Windows 8.1, I'm having issues with getting it to cooperate with my older LCD touch screen. If I could increase the size of the corner gesture, it would solve most my problems.
I've already increased the MouseCornerClipLength in the registry to 20, which is the max this will go. My screen just doesn't like the small tolerance Microsoft has given to bring up these gestures. I can cheat the calibration to make it work, but then it throws off the whole screen.

how to move then resize a partition. I have a Dell XPS 12 Win 8.1 system with 7 GPT Primary factory partitions. I cloned the 256 GB mSATA SSD to a 512 GB mSATA SSD.
*** Right now my disk looks like this with (D) empty (no data):

I've omitted 4 uninvolved factory partitions, showing only the rightmost 3 factory partitions (#5 #6 #7) and an Unallocated area.
*** My objective--w (D) & Unallocated combined--is this sequence:

I need to know what to do to get this all to happen.According to an expert Dell XPS 12 user, partitions #5, #6, and #7 MUST be contiguous in the last sequence shown, because otherwise a Dell backup program will not work, plus there are other problems.
I'm looking for partition manager how-to details, hoping to simply drag 109 GB (D) over to the right (just left of the 227 GB Unallocated area) then easily make those two a 336 GB (D) drive
My objective sequence HAS been accomplished by the expert Dell XPS 12 user mentioned above who arranged his partitions just like that, although he had different intermediate partition positions and proceeded somewhat differently. He Outlines what he did here:

I've tried partition managers' Resize/Move function with a slider, but exactly how to use the slider to move a partition eludes me.
These partition managers I've tried and have installed now are:
-EaseUS Partition Master 10.1
-Paragon Partition Manager 2014 Free
-MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition 8.1.1
(I've also tried its bootable CD that runs under Tiny Core Linux)
Unless I meet my objective above, I can't use my XPS 12 for work, since I need a 512 GB SSD to hold all the existing data I have.

i just bought my asus vivobook s400ca-dh51t 14 inch touch ultrabook and after a month of using the multi gesture suddenly it stopped working, i checked the mouse setting but i cannot find the device setting for the touch pad..

I have been experiencing bluescreens with increasing regularity. I've made sure all of my drivers are up to date. I've run dskchk, and done the windows memory test, neither of which have come up with anything. I am at a loss of where to go from here as these dmp files make no sense to me. I've attached the .zip from the sf diagnostic tool.

I have installed Windows 8 on my XPS M1530.
All good, but the Windows 8 swipe gestures do not work on the touchpad.
I installed the Alps touchpad driver that was working on windows 7, but the special windows 8 gestures still don't work.

I have an university connection, which has TTL set to 1. I made an Access Point with my WiFi in laptop, however, I think that the TTL may cause that the Internet connection on my devices which are connected to AP is not working. I believe that changing TTL to a higher number should work, because I made the same thing with my router, and the Internet was working then.

I'm Running Windows 8.1 Update 1 Enterprise.
custom built machine :
I7 4770K
32gb ram
Samsung evo pro 256gb ssd
2x gtx 770 sli
the installation was done around end of january, i don't have much running on that computer but games (i have another system for work)
The issue i have is the Paged Pool memory after system is up is at roughly 250mb but keep increasing around 1-2mb per sec and never stops, after roughly 1h uptime, i'm already at 2gb.(after 1day uptime yesterday, i was at 56gb). The non-paged pool is however never an issue and sits between 150mb and 250mb (i would say normal values)
i've read about disabling NDU, disabling killer networks application (my network driver) and many other things but so far still no luck.

Okay, so by reducing startup objects, windows can boot pretty quick, however immediately after seeing the desktop, whenever I try to do something like open a folder or open chrome, there is a slight delay as tray icons and desktop icons start appearing.
So how do I minimise this delay so that as soon as I see the desktop, I click on chrome and it immediately launches like how it does 20 seconds after startup?

I fail to understand why on a laptop (which has no touchscreen) why you would want to have the swipe gestures?
Surely most folks don't look at the touchpad in use, so it is often that one starts off to the right (especially when the pad is off centre), and it is natural to move to the left to find where one wants to start - hey presto the charms bar opens, and if you're not carefull all sorts of events occur which you really don't want.
Any way on my Lenovo Z580 with synaptics 8.1 we have the worst of both worlds - there is no easy option in the Synaptics settings to turn off the gestures, so the option is to do registry editing to the key TouchPadPS2_3 - I have amended the Active Type dwords from 2 to 0. However there is a side effect of this.
When booting, there is now a delay till the process finishes - we now get blue circular processes next to the pointer for approx 40 seconds.
What other edits we need to make to remove this delay?

How to disable the edge gestures, touchpad only, for all users on Windows 8.1. Here's the scenario:
The laptops are touchscreen. You use the touchpad to move the cursor around and the Edge gesture is triggered (charms, recent apps etc)....
There are hundreds Windows 8.1 laptops that will be put into production soon. The master image has already been created and installed on all of the laptops by the manufacturer.
Each laptop will be used by several different users for testing, so disabling the gestures per computer per user/profile would be quite difficult.
Model: Lenovo E431
Mouse: ThinkPad UltraNav pointing device
Driver: Synaptics 16.6.4.13
I haven't found a way to do it via group policy or the registry for all users.

My N5110 has Alps TouchPad, but latest drivers for Windows 8 but it seems that they don't include new features... Whats the point changing the version number of the driver and says its Windows 8 compatible?!
Why new gestures aren't included? When will they be included?

So instead of explaining what I'm looking at right now I'll post a picture here:
So as you can see that bar there is putting my volume automatically up to 100% every single time I touch it. Also, recently this has made the computer unable to drag the top or side or have any Windows 8 features available this includes both Windows buttons on my keyboard. I have tried cleaning my keyboard as that seemed to work last time on fixing this problem for maybe a month, however it worked for only an hour this time. It also seems note worthy that I cannot capitalize these letters at all: z x c v m , . and then I can't capitalize certain letters with certain shift bars so I can capitalize s with my left shift but not my right this happens with many other letters too but the ones I listed above cannot be capitalized at all.

Today, for the first time, when I started my computer, the icons on the desktop (I use the old-style desktop) had shifted such that there was nothing in the top left corner. And I cannot drag anything up there anymore - there's this blank spot where I always used to keep my "My Documents" user profile folder. I turned off the option to be able to point up there and switch apps, and it didn't work.
Windows 8.1 on a Samsung laptop, still waiting for my recovery disk...

I've had a problem with the app switcher since upgrading to 8.1 ...
When I hover the cursor in the top left corner when two or more apps are happen, I get small white outlines instead of the small preview images that I used to get on Windows 8 (screenshot attached to this thread, with settings), making it impossible to see what application I'm switching to!

except it works in 32 bit but not in 64 bit windows 8.1 update fresh install. Have checked the apps notification switches in PC settings and they are all on. The one I miss is the email notification telling me I have mail which appears to be enabled but test messages from gmail dont trigger notifcations in right hand top side of desktop.
One notification that does work is when I insert a USB it asks what to do with removable devices but thats the only notification I get.

About two weeks ago when I right-clicked in the bottom-left corner there would be a menu that would pop up. Now it just moves my mouse a little bit and dosen't do anything.
This menu was really useful...It held things like My Computer, Run, Command Prompt etc.
I updated to the windows 8.1 preview but it was working when I did that. about a week after I got the preview it did this.

how to disable those messages that slide out from the upper right corner of the screen.
I've tried disabling notifications for 3 hours but it doesn't disable the notification that pops out every time that I go to print a document.
It's basically warning me every time that I print a page on my printer that the ink is low. I know it's low, I will probably be able to still print a hundred or more pages before the cartridges actually have to be replaced.
The main problem is that the way that I have to do real life work, I need to print one page documents one after another, so in an afternoon I may end up printing 150 separate pages, so that means I get that message sliding out 150 times and the warning sound playing 150 times, about once every 20 seconds or so as I submit each page for printing.
Anyway, probably more than you wanted to know, so how to turn off the notifications that appear in the upper right corner of my screen.

My menu doesn't come up. It doesn't come up when I press the Windows button in the bottom left corner either. It only comes up when I press the Windows button on the keyboard.

Recent apps (top left corner) list still functions as normal, yet selected "tabs" are invisible whilst taking up the same amount of screen space for its click function. (If I hover over the top left, and move my mouse out just a little, i can still click / right click as though it was still visible.) when there are multiple options, the unselected tabs still show an outline visible with a transparent midsection
I am unsure what might have knocked the colour out of the app switching thing (or whatever I might call it, a name for what I am looking has been aloof,) maybe a windows update, or my graphics. i tried rolling back my graphics to no avail. Perhaps it is some arbitrary setting.

This keeps popping up in the lower right corner of my screen every time I boot up.. What it is.. right or left clicking on it has no effect, nor clicking on any of the 4 icons. The only active area is the little arrow on the left that closes the popup. It may be part of Windows 8 or may be some part of the ASUS addons that were installed with my system..

I'm getting confused about the new start button that was supposedly to come with the Win 8.1 update. I cant' find anything different from Win 8. Is the start button the icon found in the lower left corner of the screen?...or on my computer keyboard?...it looks like a window. I was expecting that I would get a dropdown start menu with Win 8.1 like I get with Win 7 when I click on that button. I would really like to have the Win 7 dropdown start menu when I click on that button in 8.1.

I have three external hard drives, 2 x 750GB USB3 Western Digital, and 1 x 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black spinner.
All three have identical data on them, right down to the last byte ... both for the size of data itself; and the size of data on disk.
This is true whether they are opened on Windows 8 or Windows 7 machine. Yet when I open all three of them simultaneously on the machine that had Windows 8, but now has Windows 8.1 ... while they all show the size of data, the size of data on disk is different for each one! Despite the fact that all three still show identical data on disk on Windows 7. Or even on Windows 8 if I reinstall it on the machine which 8.1 is installed on.
It is important because having the data on disk the same confirms they are exactly identical.

I increased the custom sizing to 500 and now I can't undo it, and I can't do anything at all actually. I do not have a system restore point either, my Windows 8 doesn't let me for some reason... this is a serious glitch I cannot believe there is nothing to prevent this.
I did have a system restore, got to it by holding Shift when selecting restart. I was nervous about using it but it said none of my documents would be erased so I guess it worked out. Microsoft owes me a tablet!!! Seriously though, quit making new products until you can actually build one that works properly.
