Aug 11, 2014I receive a BSOD about once every day. And it only ever happens while browsing the internet (using google chrome), it NEVER happens while playing games (which I do about 12hrs a day), it only ever happens when browsing the internet.

Sep 15, 2014I got a brand-new X1 Carbon ThinkPad about a week ago, and I have been experiencing various BSODs, which I have uploaded the minidump files of here.
They have varied from the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error to KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. I thought that the problem was related to my graphics card (it still very well may be), so I removed and redownloaded the graphics driver, but to no avail; the BSODs still occurred. The only thing that the various BSODs have in common is that one of the red highlighted files in BlueScreenView is always ntoskrnl.exe.

Mar 11, 2014I have an alienware laptop with windows 8.1 installed. Never had a problem with it in the last 4-5 months until last night. For some reason on shutdown it gave me a BSOD , I rebooted went to bios , disabled INTEL SpeedStep , and started browsing the internet , when a second BSOD interrupted me. Jun 9, 2014I've been receiving some strange BSODS as of late . They seem to be occurring when I either have a Facebook tab open in my Google Chrome, or when I'm browsing my Facebook timeline.

Windows 8.1
PSU: Corsair AX760 760W
GPU: Sapphire R9 290
CPU: Intel i5 4670k
Motherboard: Gigabyte G1 Sniper Z87
I've had 1 BSOD related to my atikmdag.sys, which I assumed was my display driver, so I uninstalled my gpu drivers using DDU, then reinstalled the latest version from the AMD website, after that I had 2 more BSODS, 1 without a bug check string, and one with, as you can see in my diagnostic tool upload.

Jan 28, 2014I keep getting random BSODs while browsing the web, especially when opening images. I use Google Chrome and Firefox. I also sometimes get BSODs sometimes while gaming.
The approximate time I started getting BSODs is after the breaker in my apartment jumped and the PC got shut down. I've looked over the hardware but everything seemed fine.
I've included a SF Diag tool log (it contains several minidumps from over the last few weeks).
One thing to note, I do not have the Windows 8 install disk with me as I'm a student away from home right now. Also, the PC is a custom rig, I'm not sure if that has something to do with the BSODs or not.

however I did try to fix it many times until I got to the point where the BSOD doesnt happen as often anymore but I still got this one today "will upload files on attachment".
wish I could know what is causing it at least QQ.

Nov 30, 2013I'm facing BSODs on my system. It mostly appears when I'm using Chrome, especially using Youtube or any flash applications (like games on Facebook). In games it also crashes from time to time (e.g. Assasins Creed 4).
Programs for controlling the fan of my R9-280x lead to crashes a lot, I deleted those already (e.g. Sapphire Trixx).
My system:
Windows 8 - 64 bit
8 GB RAM
Sapphire Vapor-X R9-280x graphics
Intel i5 4670K
Samsung SSD 840 pro Evo (I already checked this one and optimized it, but this didn't do the trick).
Nothing is overclocked, temps should be fine.

Jul 24, 2014i kept on getting the same BSOD for like 6 moths. but is was lazy and didn't take action, but im no fed up with it. and its getting reeaally annoying. I get get it most often while watching youtube video's (but i think that's just due to that that is what i mostly do on chrome. i also get it while gaming or just normal use (a lot less though). i used SF Diagnostic Tool i have Windows 8 64bit (i dont know if its pro or ultimate or something, i dont know where to find that)

Jul 4, 2014I tried to fill in as much of my computer information as I could in my profile's system specs.
I've had 3 BSOD's in one day.
The first was while watching a video on youtube using Chrome. I had a few tabs open at the same time. Wasn't expecting a problem. The BSOD happened suddenly without warning.
The second was while playing Planetside 2. The fans spun up to 100% (I couldn't hear them with headphones, I just felt it) and then it crashed.
The third was also with Planetside 2. Fans spun up, I didn't realize it, BSOD.
After that I was hyper aware of the fans. They would start spinning up and I would switch to desktop and they would instantly spin down. I'd wait 10 seconds and go back into the game and it was fine for a while. Then it would do it again.
Brand new laptop so probably driver issues and maybe hardware.

Apr 18, 2014My Msi Ge70 2oe is 5 moths old and i got several BSODs since purchase. I updated most drivers in April, still got 6xBSOD this month. Most of them System_Service_Exception and addressing ntoskrnl.exe+59769. idk what that means, think have some really bad drivers it happens mostly using chrome.
Using manufacturers Live update 5 to update, although not installed some optional like norton internet security. Checked memtest and windows memory test programs, nothing unusual.

I downloaded all updates for Windows 8, then updated to 8.1 and downloaded all but one update available (Bing Desktop). I am still getting these BSOD. Sometimes in Chrome, sometimes in Steam, and sometimes randomly
I've run the Memory diagnostic tool in Windows, and it found no errors. I've attached the SF Diagnostics folder which was created.
Windows 8.1 - Pages Won't Load While Browsing Internet
Aug 6, 2014I've resisted updating to Win 8.1 since it's release, Win 8, for me, is confusing enough! I finally decided to update to Win 8.1, downloaded/installed it, and now, periodically, pages won't load while browsing the Internet. It hangs up for 30 seconds or so then shows "This page Can Not be Displayed." I click the "fix" button to repair whatever is wrong and get the same explanation, "You are not connected to a network," close the information box and the page I was going to comes on. I watch my Network Connections while 8.1 is "fixing" the problem and it always shows I'm connected. 8.1, while "fixing" the problem, will disconnect my laptop from the network, momentarily, then reconnect it. It will work fine for a few minutes then it starts all over again. I have a second Win 7 laptop I run at the same time to see if it also gets disconnected and it runs fine, while the 8.1 machine is supposedly not connected.
I didn't have the problem before I downloaded 8.1. I don't have the problem on my Win7 laptop or desktop PC.The problem happens at all times of the day/night and at no specific time.

Jun 7, 2014This is basically a fresh install. I only really installed steam along with the drivers for my motherboard and gpu. It originally did it while on steam only but has since done it other places. Last night was particularly bad, as it would BSOD and then sit on a black screen while trying to load up. Turning it off and on eventually started it back up. Then it did a weird thing where it would keep rebooting itself. Eventually I shut it down for the night.

Jul 17, 2014From time to time I'm required to use USB Tethering to connect my Nexus 4 (Android 4.4.4) with my laptop so I can access internet (either mobile data or wifi from the phone to the laptop (because sometimes it gets better from where it is)).
The thing is that in around 95% of the times I tether the two systems I get a BSOD with the Watchdog Violation.

Jul 16, 2014I'm getting the below BSOD when connecting and using the internet at my new apartment after few minutes (usually after 10mins but sometimes less or more than that). This is not happening at my work or when using any other wireless networks.

I'm not sure if it matters but the connection at my apartment is kind of weird... I just followed the instructions to connect to a wireless network first and then setup another broadband PPPoE connection.

Mar 5, 2013I don't know either this is the right place to ask or not. I just having my 2nd monitor. I just want to ask it is possible for me to play game and browsing the internet at the same time? The 2 monitors hooked up to the same graphic card. both of them is 23". So it is possible to play a full screen game on one monitor while also browsing the internet on the other monitor? I've tried it but whenever I click anything in the second monitor the game minimizes. My settings are set to extended display and I'm guessing that's the reason this happens but are there any settings I can change to make this possible. Basically having the 2 monitors be independent of each other. and this is my computer main spec:-

Nov 18, 2013Very annoying BSOD problem, it tends to happen when surfing the internet and for some reason my internet keeps now coming up with that irritating internet has stopped working error every couple of minutes, I have tried to refresh or reset windows 8 but I cannot because I do not have a recovery partition or USB, I upgraded my version of windows digitally so I am looking to see if there are any other solutions first. May 12, 2014I am getting a BSOD since one week randomly with the message IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. BlueScreen Viewer showes me, that it is caused by the driver ntoskrnl.exe. Before I got this BSOD I updated my Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.1.1 . Since this time, this error happens randomly!

Before I got this IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR _EQUAL error I also got the BSOD Driver_Power_State_Failure. I figured out, that it might be the Bluetooth Driver, as buescreenviewer stated the driver causing the error is btfilter.sys.

I have tried to uninstall the graphics card as a lot of searches mentioned that this was a problem. I can boot the laptop to safe but cant do much else than that. I have also tried system restore but that fails as well.

Aug 1, 2014I got a new laptop, and pretty much immediately after initial set up I shut my laptop, the next time I tried to open it it showed the BSOD, it has the error,system_thread_exception_not_handled (iastora.sys). After it does the restart my computer runs fine. I followed the directions and included the file.
