Browsers/Mail :: IE10 - Disable Flash Through Manage Add Ons
Jul 9, 2013When I disable Flash through "Manage Add-ons" I find that I can still play some YouTube videos (I assume using html5) but when the video ends my screen goes blank for a second and then the computer goes to the login screen. When I log back in all the applications that were open are no longer open. Is there any way to disable Flash in IE10 and not have this behavior?

Sep 8, 2012On a variety of sites -- YouTube, eBay, FoxNews.com, etc -- IE10 (the desktop, non-Metro version) crashes twice and then gives up, returning this error message:
"When a website causes a failure or crash, Internet Explorer attempts to restore the site. It stops after two tries to avoid an endless loop."
If you google that error, you get some MS suggestions on how to fix it in IE9. The auto fix doesn't run under Windows 8, and clearly doesn't apply anyway, and the manual suggestion to reset IE didn't work.

Apr 23, 2013I realize that when I click to download a file and get the "do you want to save or open this file" dialog, I can press "Alt+O" to open, or "Alt+S" to save.
But to reach "Save as" I have to click the down arrow.

It was factory reset so this is a computer/browser issue, nothing with the restore
I had Yahoo Email set as default. For each of my previous computers, I did too.
I cannot find the link telling me how to do it: I remember seeing it could be done with a particular version of Yahoo toolbar And I saw one that would install the mail plugin with Yahoo Messenger
Neither has been there when I installed several versions.

Oct 8, 2013For some reason or other I can no longer access my email account Outlook.com (known formerly as Hotmail.com) when using the Internet Explorer10 browser, it will not go to the sign in window, although I can access the account by using the "InPrivate Browsing" option in IE10.
Not a huge problem as I can and do use another browser most of the time. I am curious as to why this has occurred more than anything?
