I have installed and uninstalled many apps from the Windows Store. But I have realized that, after having uninstalled some of them I didn't like, if I go to "Your Applications" and select "Applications not installed in this computer" I still see them like in a kind of "History" (like in the Internet browsers)
How Can I Remove The List Of "not installed apps" in Store ?
It is possible update for all users the Windows Store apps with a local account belonging to the Administrators group? Then, I believe that the management of updating of the Windows Store apps can also be managed only by administrators. Right? If so, how do I do this?

I Googled it and tried to reset Windows Store cache by wsreset.exe but it didn't work. It occurs to every app I try to install.
I can't update of find any apps in windows store. The store broker, wshost.exe, is taking around 30% cpu usage and will increase easily to 80%.

I have already followed most the steps on this tutorial, running the troubleshooter many times and restarting after each time.

Here is a screenshot of what happens everytime. I don't know if its clear, but essentially this weird thing happens where it doesn't load, and right off the start the splash icon, if you will, and its little circle loading animation all shift to the top left of the screen, just forever.
My Windows 8 is completely genuine so that's not the problem; when I first bought the computer, it came with Win 8 and the store worked fine. All of a sudden, the Skype app would load but be blank, and all the apps started doing this. I don't know what happened that caused this all.
EDIT: The screen shot was taken, uploaded to paint, and cropped to fit better, so the resolution shown in the picutre caption is not my computer resolution. My native computer resolution is 1366X768.

When I first installed Windows 8 I decided to run with a local account (ACC1) and a windows account (ACC2). I mostly used ACC1 and only used ACC2 to play some games which were not available for desktop. After a few months I converted ACC1 to a windows account using a different email address from ACC2. Everything worked fine and I thought no more about it until I did the update to 8.1 today. After sorting out the important issues I found that ACC1 cannot get into the store. Actually, I get in, but after a short time it just flips back to the start page. ACC2 works OK, but it doesn't have all of my desktop apps installed because I installed those for the ACC1 user only.
How to :-
1. Fix the store issue with ACC1.
or
2. Merge ACC1 and ACC2.
or
3. Get the desktop apps to ACC2.
Just upgraded from Windows 8 Pro to Windows 8.1 Pro. No hacks or anything, legit key.
My problem is that the Store shows that the Music and Video apps both have updates but they both error out on install with 0x80073cf1 and 0x80246007 errors respectively.
Trying to fix it I have tried the following:sfc /scannow finds nothing wrongDISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth tells me "The restore operation completed successfully. The component store corruption was repaired. The operation completed successfully."And running Troubleshooting from the Control Panel on the Windows Update option quickly results in a "Windows Update components must be repaired" and "Fixed" with a friendly green checkmark. But the errors remain whenever I try again.
Ever since upgrading to 8.1 I am unable to use the mail app, the store app and most metro apps. when I open one of them the immediately get stuck and eventually crash. Another issue I found is that the brightness adjuster wont work no more.

When I tried to re install the mail, calendar, people, messenger app it wouldn't install. I then tried to download the updates for my other installed apps and that didn't work either.

Wen I open the Windows Shop, it always on the green screen and does not advance. I've done the following steps:
1 - I did WSReset.exe as administrator but the store is always like this. If you close and re-open the store, I get the same green screen;
2 - I downloaded the tool Windows 8 App Troubleshooter which tells me that I have an outdated graphics driver. Is not true because I have installed the latest version.
3 - UAC is turned on but without success;
4 - I've turned my account as a local account and tried to open the shop but with the same result. I've reverted my account as linked to Microsoft.
5 - I created a new user account and with that account the store opens. I returned to my account and nothing.
6 - Finally I ran the SFC / SCANNOW and gave me this picture.
Attempted to update to 8.1 yesterday and the store just won't open. Every time I click on the Store tile it doesn't get past the green introductory screen before just disappearing (crashing).. Have restarted several times and used the link-through on the Windows 8.1 site. Also, I have since discovered that all apps won't open either (such as news and sports).
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am able to login to my computer using my Microsoft account but if I try logging into the Windows Store, installing any new apps or updating any of them I get random error codes that I have Googled and they don't lead to anything. I thought it might be related to security software (I use Norton Internet Security) so I tried disabling it and it didn't do anything. I have no viruses or any other kind of malware so why this is happening. I have updated my laptop to Windows 8.1 if that makes any difference.

My upgrade from 7 Pro to 8 Pro was smooth.
I tried to use location on the Bing weather app and it was over 100 miles out. Couldn't figure out how to solve this so uninstalled it.
Then I did something obviously stupid, I did a restore. I thought that by 'all apps' WIndows 8 did not mean programs, but it evidently does (a slight rewrite would make that clearer to those of us who don't identify all apps as including programs).
Ok, I had to reinstall programs, a nuisance but that's all. However, all my Bing apps are now gone.
They appear in 'Your apps' in the store as in my computer named DOUGW-PC but a search doesn't find them. Reinstalling doesn't do anything either. I can install new apps and they show up fine.
When I was on Windows 8 I could install an app from the store and it would automatically put a tile for it on the start screen. After upgrading to 8.1 it stopped doing that. Now after I install an app I have to search for it and right click and tell it to pin to the start. Is there any way to have a tile automatically put on the start screen after install with 8.1?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow do I remove (from the start screen) the text at the bottom that says, on mine "13 new apps insalled". I have opened them up, that way I was hoping it would go away, but it wont. This happened when I installed the Windows 8.1 update 1, yesterday.

It also says "new" at the right side of every app. I rather not have it like this at all. I know what new apps I have installed already.
When I boot my machine, I can't see all my installed apps and also can't search them. Please see attached picture.
In my Desktop window I can see my files.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAbout three days ago, all new style apps stopped working. I click on the tile, get a deep blue screen, and nothing else. On the left side of the screen, I can see the app as if it is working (just the name of the app, not content), so I can close the window and get back to desktop. The same applies to the STORE app. The only tiles that work, are the links to desktop applications, which open correctly on the desktop. The fault also affects all windows system apps. For example if I search on the start screen for "windows update", I can access "Windows update" as it just opens a window on the desktop, but if I click on "Windows update settings" nothing happens. The same is true with all windows system apps that open in the new start screen system.
I've uninstalled two Microsoft updates that were installed over the past three days, no change. I uninstalled AVAST, no change, so I reinstalled it! I tried restoring the system, but found that I had only one restore, and that was corrupted. Very strange. Without access to many windows system apps, the computer is really limited. The desktop seems to be working OK. I can't refresh the PC, as firstly it is a system app that runs from the start screen, and secondly because I upgraded from win 8 to 8.1 online, this can't be done anyway, as I don't have a disc. For some reasons, unknown by me, i try to access multiplayer mode on my gaming apps that allows online access will not connect to the internet. It tells me that i am not connected to the internet when i am clearly connected to it. My internet is through router and it works fine; i can access my browser just surfing the web. So I was trying to make this game called blacklight retribution run on windows 8 (it crashes for some reason)
And at some point i was installing some radio apps for the metro interface and trying to play the game at the same time (my PC is pretty weak -3.1ghz AMD processor, 4gb ram, 500gb hdd and a radeon 3300 hd integrated graphics card)
So my windows 8.1 (with the latest updates) crashed with the all-cool-new-bluescreen-of-death and after that my windows store app renders its content as if its broken, here's what it looks like:
I restarted windows numerous times, but the windows store app still appears to be "broken" but other apps seem to work as they should.
I am new to windows 8 and I couldn't find a way to restore windows to an earlier point, I know a very straightforward way - reinstall windows 8.1.
Is it possible to download free apps from Windows Store directly (without going through "Windows Store" icon/apps in Windows 8.1? I'm having a problem with Windows Store in my OS, whenever I try it, it just said no network connection, but I can surf no problem using FF/Skype etc. If I can go directly to Windows Store website and download the apps directly from there, it'll be awesome, but everytime I tried, it just goes back to my OS Windows Store.

Moreover, the on and off option from Settings -> Change PC settings -> PC and devices -> Corners and edges -> App switching also seems to be forever gone.
