Aug 24, 2011how to get "start a video call" to be an option. I've tried everything and nothing is working. I have a hp notebook with a lifecam webcam.

Not sure what to look for on this one to narrow the field of possibilities down. I suspect a conflict in resources (interrupts, etc) but it could be something else.It is almost as if something is waking on schedule... "It's ALIVE!"He has tried an uninstall of the Logitech webcam and Skype and a "clean" re-install per Logitech's guidelines. No luck.Searched the internet. Lots of problems with Skype, et al, causing BSODs and/or system shutdowns, etc but could not find one where it was JUST the Skype video restarting while the audio remained connected and uninterrupted

Aug 26, 2011Video Calls in MSN Messenger wont work on my laptop, it is an Acer Aspire One running Windows 7 Ultimate. It shows error code 0x8ac70013 which I have tried to find answers to online and haven't found anything which applies to my situation. I do not have MacAfee or Norton, I am using AVG antivirus. I have tried tweaking the Windows firewall permissions but it hasn't helped.It works just fine on my desktop, which is an old Dell with Windows XP.

Thumbnails View Option Eliminated For Video Files In Windows 7?
Jan 26, 2013I have a desktop with Windows XP Pro SP3, and a netbook with Windows 7 Home edition SP1. It appears that the "Thumbnails" (picture) option has been eliminated from the video files "View" menu options, so I can no longer see a pictorial snapshot of the contents of my video files.
Is this option completely eliminated or is there something I can do to retrieve this feature for Windows 7?

However, if I don't do anything, because I am out of the room, it still goes ahead after 15 seconds. In this case, though, I can't operate any of the programs that come up on Windows 7 home edition. When I click on my Firefox browser for example nothing happens. I then have to reboot the PC (switching it off and on) and make sure I'm in front of the PC to press enter when this message comes up. Then all the programs run as normal. Is there any way of stopping it asking me?

Booting From Specific Partition (Windows 7) - No Option On Start Up
Dec 21, 2011I recently made a separate partition on my HD (C), let's call it F. I wanted to load up windows xp onto that small partition, F, so as to see if it would allow me to operate better, as I have a gaming laptop that seems to be suffering from a memory hog svchost. Anyway, now that I've booted up to the F partition and working in XP, I find that I dislike it, I also can't figure out how to connect to the internet. My issue is, I can't figure out how to boot to the C, my Windows 7, the original OS. I'm not given an option upon startup and I can't find anything in my BIOS that is obviously pertaining to my issue.
