Sep 22, 2012
I am using Windows 7 together with Windows Live email, which has been working ok until of late.My internet provider is Yahoo and emails in there are ok, but I prefer Windows Live email however this will not work when downloading emails as an error message comes up saying the server is in error and one has to reapetedly click on receive emails until they are all downloaded, surely Windows email should work no matter who your provder is can someone enlight me as to why BT Yahoo fails with Windows live emails.
I have been using Windows Live Mail problem free for 9 mths. Yesterday I can still receive but cannot send emails. I get the following error info;
An unknown error has occurred.
Subject '' Server Error: 554 Server Response: 554 nskntcmgw07p BigPond Outbound [OB105. Connection refused. 124.178.137.25 is listed on the Exploits Block List (XBL). I clicked on link. Seems I have some bug. Use Bitdefender - says no prob. Pleae help.
I receive this error regardless of the browser I'm using but I am connected to the internet; I can connect to steam and update games for example. The issue is tied solely to the inability to load websites. Mine is the only computer on the network that is displaying the issue.
outlook error 0x80042108b I can recieve mail from this server but not send any mail I have just set up this new work account, the rest of the poeople in the office can send and recieve ok I have uninstalled Macfee software but still no joy
How do I get emails to single click to select and double click to open? All appropriate boxes in folder for this sequence are checked to no avail. Toshiba L745-S4310
WLM opens emails with a single click rather than just selecting the email. The boxes selecting double click to open are checked. This box is in the folders section and may be for folders ouyside of WLM. I want single click to select and double click to open emails.
I am trying to trouble shoot my boss' laptop. We have tried to set him up on Windows Live to use while he is at home and on the road. We have a server and it is setup/configured on his laptop correctly as it works EVERYWHERE else besides his home. I am guessing it is a Firewall or Router Setting issue. Since I don't go to his home, I am unable to trouble shoot it there - His family has an IPAD an ITOUUCH a personal computer and another laptop and they all send and receive mail fine. It is just my boss' laptop - Windows 7 - Home Edition - 64bit - Dell. Thinking maybe I need to change the port # in the settings on Microsoft Live. BTW - we do have him set up to use the Exchange by logging into our IP - but he just cannot seem to get the hang of doing that - even though i have everything shortcutted and instructions on the desktop...Also have had him just use Log Me In - and he doesn't like the small screen..
i cant click on my desktop. i had downloaded something to do with dj-ing and then clicked on it. but it started loading.. (my mouse) and it hasnt loaded. i cant click on anything on my deskptop.
I have a new computer with windows 7. I am used Windows live mail, however all my older emails from other acct keep downloading, no to them, how can I stop this.
I am unable to send emails, I keep getting the following fault: - Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Bottom line up front - my PC is having repeated nvstor64 type 3 errors which cause it to hang and the only way to restart it is to hold the power button in until it shuts down. Full details here:Early July my PC started acting odd. Freezing, running slowly etc.
- I ran a virus scan from windows - nothing
- I ran another virus scan from a Linux CD which found a couple of things but nothing terrible and, after cleaning, the PC was no better.
Chkdsk revealed some lost clusters. I repaired those and ran sfc /scannow to repair the OS, which it did.A day or so later, still acting odd, I ran another chkdsk and...more lost clusters. A disk check utility in Ubuntu reported that the drive was failing so I bought a new drive, cloned the old drive onto it (it was still working) and...nothing! I read a thread that said it could be the sata cable, which didn't make much sense but I replaced it anyway and...still nothing!Another thread suggested updating the disk drivers. When I try to do that it tells me I already have the latest driver installed. Should I uninstall and reinstall anyway? Finally another thread said to update the bios...but I have no idea how to do that or whether it's worth the effort.the nvstor64 errors started on July 4th, about a week before I messed with anything. No idea why they would just start appearing like that but I am still getting the nvstor64 errors about every few minutes and I'm about ready to put a sledgehammer through it.

Windows Live Mail closes unexpectedly repeatedly without error message and one account disappeared?
I have multiple accounts being used for years on Windows Live Mail - Version 2009 - Build 14.0.8117.0416 on XP Pro SP3
Recently, Windows Live Mail closes unexpectedly repeatedly without error message Then as I kept trying to figure out I noticed one account disappeared? I think that happened later.
I have the ENTIRE WL MAIL Log file.
To track why this was happening I went offline mode and it would not crash. So, I figured it was something to do with the Sync. So I disabled the Auto Sync for every account I had and did manual syncs for one account at a time. Found the account that was causing this.
Its a hotmail account. I signed into Hotmail and all seems ok. I am posting the follow lines from the LOG, when I manually synched that account from WL Mail a few times.
I could try to trace back into the LOGS as to when this drama actually started originally, and post that and / or most of it. Let me know if someone can help dissect Windows Live Mail issues. Found its due to Sync of one account, Error Log info posted.

I'm running windows 7 in a dual boot configuration. Both OS installs are on a single physical drive (drive 0) and partitioned as C: and D: The primary install is on C: and I needed to extend the partition as I was running out of space; however the D: partition was immediately to the right so I needed to use gpart to move the D: partition and make some space to the right of the C: partition. The move went fine, I restarted and I could get into my primary on the C: without an issue; however, when I select the other install of the OS that's located on the D: partition I receive an error that the system cannot boot. how to make my machine dual bootable again?
ive recently run into and problem that isn't allowing me to update windows. I currently have 5 updates that need to be installed and all 5 of them always fail. The error i receive is Code: 800736B3.I have searched around on Google and tried the Update readiness toll and Microsoft Fixit for this issue and none of them seem to work.
I'm working on a Brand New Dell Inspiron 1525 with W7 OS. I was in the middle of catching it up on all the updates and they went in fine except it when it got to Service Pack 1, It will not install SP1. I receive the error code: 800B0100 I also went thru the steps of "Get help with this error" and it went thru "Windows Update troubleshooter" said the problem was "fixed", however still failed the next 4 tries, any suggestions? THX!!!
This problem just started today and I am a bit confused when I try to get my email on WLM I get the above error. I am going through my ISP and using POP3 the POP setting is pop.midstatesd.net and smtp.midstatesd.net all of the setting are correct so not sure why I am getting the error. I should mention that I am connecting using a laptop with a Dlink router and do not have any issues connecting to the internet. I am unable to ping the pop.midstatesd.net so figured something was set wrong on the router but cannot find any thing that would be blocking it there.
when I click Send/Receive in Outlook 2007 it fails and I get an Error message - 0x80040600. I've tried running the Repair Tool in SCANPST.EXE but this doesn't help, it states that all errors have been fixed, but then I still get the error message. I'm not running Exchange.
It seems that my computer cant run any exe files I download from the internet. They all download just fine, but when I open them I get a corrupt message reading
"Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy."
More information at: [URL]
In some cases I just get a message saying file is corrupt. I've tried turning my antivirus and my firewall off and that hasn't worked either, I've also ran updates and everything. The program steam also cant seem to download anything without pausing every second.
I have a PC with windows vista installed. I recently bought windows 7 home premium and installed a fresh copy of it. Every time I download some software like Chrome, VLC, iTunes , it downloads fine, but when it has to install it gives strange errors. I have seen all kinds of errors.
E.g.: VLC gives NSIS error. Microsoft Security Essentials gives "File Corrupt Error". Got certificate invalid error for some other software. if I download zip files, they fail with CRC check.
Just to be sure it wasn't hardware issue, I installed vista as a second OS and that works fine. I am really uncertain what is causing the issue (seems network related though). I had an old router and just purchased a new linksys router. Other configurations are: Core 2 Quad, EVGA SLI ready motherboard, 4GB DDR2 ram, ASUS EN210 gphx card.
