My mouse won't respond to my laptop and it gets me mad because i play fps shooters and its hard to play when im using the touchpad and i get furious because i like those games. it has nothing to do with the laptop..
View 1 RepliesIt freezes, and sometimes when I wake it from sleep mode, the monitor light just blinks on and off but the monitor itself does not come on. I look at my mouse and keyboard, which are illuminated and notice there is no light meaning they are not detected by my tower. I try many ports and still no response. I reboot my PC a few times, then it works. Whenever I put my system to sleep or shut it down, and it comes back on on its own (for example, Vipre anti-virus turns the comp on at night to run virus scans), the system boots up just fine, but the keyboard, mouse and display don't do anything. I can't get a response. So I have to hold down the power button for 4-5 seconds to shut the system down and restart. Then everything works fine again.The mouse is a Logitech wireless (USB). When I leave my computer on for a bit and walk away, the screen will turn off by itself (this is not standby!!!) and sometimes, the keyboard or mouse seems to have lost its connection to the computer, and will not respond to anything, I have to hit the reset button.
Desktop does not respond to mouse actions as previously nor the front panel power switch.I have to disconnect the power cord, reconnect, and press the front panel power button. Then the unit starts up and returns to window without the login window as if it was sleeping.The problem started after my attempts to install a defective external drive enclosure connected with an esata cable. I have since obtained a working external enclosure connected with an esata cable. The present Sleep wakeup malfunction is now present with or without a working external drive.

If it is just put to 'Sleep' then it is almost instant likewise if it is suspended (hibernated) for less than a day or so then again it is instant once the Unlock screen appears.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i have had it for like a month now and i got it from a We Buy Gold shop something like a pawn store so it was basically used. The laptop was working fine fast and well i downloaded games such as mmo's grand chase and i played that and it ran really well no problems. Sometimes the game would have problems and i would have to press the power button to reset it and i did maybe like 20 times i know thats bad. And now for dome reason when i log into my laptop it would take a while for the windows screen to load and then i would be logged into my laptop i would go on google chrome and use the internet watch videos after about 5-8 good minutes google chrome would load slow and then clompetely stop loading and i would exit and google chrome and re-launch it after i re-launch it it wont come up and i would try launching other programs such as control panel or any of my mmo's and they wont even appear and then when i try pressing mutiple application at a time the cpu would freeze. It was way worse before sometimes i couldn't get past the windows log in loading screen i would be loading for like and hour and I would have to power rest AGAIN. My Windows 7 Dell laptop programs won't respond after 5 minutes

I can only control the mouse by using the lower left corner of the pad. I went into the settings in the control panel but I don't see a place to calibrate the pad.

When I scroll on the pad, it barely moves and frequently will only move on one axis. The only solution I have at the moment is to physically close the laptop up, immediately reopen it and log in again and all is well until i move it again.

I have gone into System/Device Manager/Mice.... and there is no option to "allow device to wake up". My knowledge is limited, but I do understand some things. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy win 7 laptop reported that a usb device had malfunctioned - my mouse, a roccat kone, no longer controlled the pointer. The scroll wheel and buttons still work, but the pointer will not move. Having had a similar problem in the past I purchased a new mouse, a rat 7, but I have the exact same problem.
Now both mice work fine on my PC, and both work on a variety of surfaces.
- I have tried in safe mode, no luck
- I have tried uninstalling all usb drivers, and all mouse drivers, no success (all other peripherals work fine, hard rives, usb drives and a tablet/pen)
- I have rebooted a million times, and tried toggling legacy usb support in bios.
- I also tried installing microsoft generic mouse drivers, no luck.
I am willing to try anything, though id rather not reinstall the os.
Basically i installed some updates for nvidia to help my devices catch up with my win 7 pro install. Now however i have the issue that my ps/2 keyboard and touch pad mouse has stopped working and i'm having to use USB to actually use my laptop. Has anyone else found a solution to this at all. I have checked device manager and it say code 10 for the mouse not working and code 19 for the keyboard not working.
For background info i have a Dell Studio XPS running 64 bit Win 7 pro.
I'm experiencing the following problem with my new Sony Vaio VPCSB3L9E/W, but I don't know the exact model projector because it is in a classroom, shield in a box on the roof.Well, whenever i connect my laptop using the commonly known Win + P the mouse pointer freezes. The keyboard is active and using the arrows I can send signal through the VGA port.
