View 1 Replies View Relatedtrying to manually add album data but wmp forces me to match every single track of every single album - when it already knows what the album is and the contents, as it shows the correct picture and album. This process should take me about 20 years. I assume this is because I am not letting wmp retrieve internet info as it wants because it's always wrong, (so MSN make it as difficult as possible to get info manually I guess)
and because it keeps making single track downloads into individual albums instead of a folder of mixed tracks which is WHAT I WANT. I don't wish to have my music arranged according to a programmer at microsoft... but this takeover by microsoft is getting more and more frustrating as they eliminate more and more customer choice from programs and dictate how it will all be set up and run from microsoft.
Is there anyway we can organise albums, tracks, files and folders the way we want to, instead of having microsoft shuffling them around and deleting databases, playlists and formats it doesn't agree with? Why can't I match the whole album when it appears in the search results? It's not rocket science

My mainboard was ASUS p5n-mx, its support AHCI so when I install SSD on my pc, its using AHCI mode instead of IDE.This board bios IC is damage now, so I replace it with new motherboard chipset G41 southbrigde ICH7 which is not support AHCI.I have dual boot system which install on separate hardrive, windows xp which on my HDD only need to update driver but its succesfully boot. Another one is Windows 7 installed on my ssd now couldn't boot at all.I'm getting error when boot to windows 7 even on safe mode, I check on safe mode its stuck on classpnp.sys, I tried to googling and found out that is issue with AHCI vs IDE mode on my SSD.on BIOS i don't see AHCI option, only IDE so can I change the configuration of my SSD from AHCI to IDE?I can boot to windows xp, and see my ssd drive windows files but I don't know how to change ssd configuration on that installation.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have Windows Media Player Version 12.0.7601.17514. I am trying to create a CD with mostly music (.wma) files but would like to add a few .jpg files. I can move all this (.wma + .jpg) over to the "list" file and them burn to a CD but it will not play on a CD player. I can open the CD through the CD tray on my computer and make the CD play, but this is not what I want. I want to give these CDs to family and friends so they can play on their CD players and car CDs without the .jpg files interfering. The .jpg files are only on the CD for people to find a picture and message I have left for them should they drop the CD into a computer. I see on the internet where people are discussing adding "album art" to files but this is not what I want to do. I just want the .jpg files to be separate from the .wma files and for the .wma files to play. How can I do this? PS when I burn a CD with only .wma (music) files, everything works well and the CD will play in any CD player and car CD.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I have a 16 GB Cruzer USB and it's not connecting, recognizing, nothing. Usually, the usb stick lights up, but it's not even doing that. I remember a couple of years ago I had this problem, I looked up a solution and was able to open the usb up by going through... aghh this is what I can't remember.
It's manually opening up the usb by going through some 'coding'-ish steps.
The screen I used to type in the coding was black, with white text. I think I remember typing in dmnt.mgt (Not exactly it but kind of like that??) Either way.. how can I open up my usb?
I recently installed ubuntu as a duel boot between my win 7 installation, and I then reset the MBR, as I prefer the windows mbr.
Now, I cant boot into linux, so my question is: Is it possible to add ubuntu to the windows mbr manually, and if so, how?
I though that using the Recorded TV section would be PERFECT for managing the movie series that i ripped from my dvd archives, but WMP AND WMC refuse to see them, even though I added their folders into the Recorded tv libraries.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOn the backup and restore management screen, it says backup cancelled. I had setup on a regular weekly schedule. Go to manage backups, I see backups through out 2011. The last one 12/2011. The last backup field says Neveryet backups exist. Short of it, I cannot find the reason backups would not run. Windows has an extremely poor ability to view just what is going on with backups. Assuming it might be a space issue. I deleted all but a few of the last backups in manage backups, and reset the schedule so backups would run overnight. This morning, same results, backup cancelled. SoI clicked on Backup nowand it runs to completion successfully. The last back field was updated with todays date/time.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to create a custom shortcut and by custom I don't mean the way you usually create shortcuts at, but how you create it from scratch. Like open notepad and write down a script to make it work like an ordinary shortcut. The reason I want to do this is because I have a large collection of music and for the moment I have to open, first my music directory then choose the artist directory then the album directory and finally the playlist file. The way I want it is instead of getting into the album directory I would just have a shortcut in the artist directory that will open the playlist and start the music. And I would even want to have a custom icon on the shortcut. Now you will probably say just create a shortcut like you would normally do and then change the icon. DONE!No the thing is that when I re-install my computer or if I get a new disc with new drive letters or just move my whole music directory the shortcuts will be corrupted cause windows own created shortcuts has the complete file path like "D:DokumentEgna SkivorDeadmau5For Lack Of A Better Name0 For Lack Of A Better Name (Playlist).m3u". The way I want it is just "For Lack Of A Better Name0 For Lack Of A Better Name (Playlist).m3u"
