Is there a simple (and cheap) way of doing this, short of buying Acrobat Pro?
I have Windows Media Player Version 12.0.7601.17514. I am trying to create a CD with mostly music (.wma) files but would like to add a few .jpg files. I can move all this (.wma + .jpg) over to the "list" file and them burn to a CD but it will not play on a CD player. I can open the CD through the CD tray on my computer and make the CD play, but this is not what I want. I want to give these CDs to family and friends so they can play on their CD players and car CDs without the .jpg files interfering. The .jpg files are only on the CD for people to find a picture and message I have left for them should they drop the CD into a computer. I see on the internet where people are discussing adding "album art" to files but this is not what I want to do. I just want the .jpg files to be separate from the .wma files and for the .wma files to play. How can I do this? PS when I burn a CD with only .wma (music) files, everything works well and the CD will play in any CD player and car CD.

I guess I'm doing something wrong, but I can't imagine what since I'm using the same format that I've seen everywhere online. Running Windows 7 64-bit.

1. convert a partition to Extended and add logical partitions in it
2. Eliminate the System Reserved partition, mark the C: partition as active, and then run startup repair 3 times to recreate the boot files into the C: drive. Is this an accurate assessment, and if so, what are the tradeoffs of each method?I know that with #2 you would lose use of the system tools that are there, but a Win 7 Repair Disc would work for those purposes when needed.
I would like to add a USB 3.0 pci-e card to my system. There are several to choose from but none that I find have a 'header' to bring the USB to a port on my front panel. Those ports are now fed by the USB 2.0 header on my MB. I would sure be nice if I could have a USB 3.0 on the front.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am getting a new SSD for christmas. I will be installing Windows 7 Ultimate on it doing a fresh/clean install on a new drive. However, once that is done, I want to connect my old HDD (which was Windows 7 Pro) and get the images and stuff off of it, so I can format it and use strictly for sotrage. Is it going to cause a conflict? Is this even possible? I don't want to keep the OS on the old HDD. I plan on using that on a different computer.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI currently have a licensed Windows 7 x86 version installed on a desktop. I purchased a new SSD that I plan to use for the OS, Office, and some productivity applications. Games and media will remain on my existing 500GB hard drive. The hard drive currently holds my 32-bit installation of Windows 7. I want to install 64-bit Windows 7 on my new SSD and keep the data on my HDD.
Should I unplug my HDD when I install 64-bit Windows 7? If I plug in the HDD after installation will there be a conflict as to which OS should boot? I don't want to dual-boot or go back to x86, so I don't care about the windows installation on the HDD, just the data.
Should I keep my HDD plugged in with the new SSD and then install Windows 7 x64 to the SSD? Will that keep all of my HDD data intact?

3.07 gigahertz Intel Core i7 950
Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P6T DELUXE V2
12280 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory
C: drive- WDC WD3000HLFS-01G6U1 ATA Device [Hard drive] (300.07 GB)
E: drive- WDC WD1500HLFS-01G6U1 [Hard drive] (150.04 GB)
2 x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 [Display adapter] in SLI
Windows 7 Professional (x64) Service Pack 1
adding Seagate Barracuda 1TB Hard Drive
Model ST1000DM003SATA- 6Gb/s- 1TB- 7200rpm- bare drive
Gaming use (BF3) mainly with media/MS Office stuff secondary.
1) Do you think it would be best to use this new drive as C: or main drive? Or to use it as storage and keep C: as is?
2) If used as main drive, are there issues installing Win7 on it and already having a Win7 install on another hard drive?
3) suggested improvements for video card upgrade.
I have to print a few dozen PDFs, each of which have between ten and one hundred pages each. The problem is, none of them actually reference their source, so when my boss reads them next to each other and piles them together, he has no way of knowing which ones came from which PDF. Is there a way I can add a "header" to the top of each page of a printed PDF, much like how when I add page numbers to a print job they go in the "footer"?I'm running Windows 7 and printing a PDF from Firefox. If it allows for more customizable print jobs I can print the PDF from Adobe Reader.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently built a system based on a MSI Z68-GD80 mobo + i7-2600k. Comes with Virtue which is supposed to automatically switch from Intel gfx to discrete gfx card when a game is fired up has a white list of approved games and the ability to add your own game to the list.Although I am not a gamer, I tried adding the exe for Cinema 4D to the list, but it didn't activate the Virtu process when I opened C4D.So I was wondering - has any forum members successfully added any graphics apps to the Virtu list, or is it really only for 3D games and just gets triggered by DirectX etc.BTW I would like to use both on-die and discrete gfx because my Black Gold HDTV card works great with Intel gfx, but pixelates with the HD5770 card.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate as the bootable C: drive and wish to add a 2nd bootable drive using a caddy holding the 2nd HDD in a modular bay. If I wish to install Windows XP on the 2nd HDD it will presumably be configured as the D: drive and all the programs installed on it will adopt the assignation as being on D: Am I correct in assuming that if I swapped this drive into the main laptop drive bay most or none of the programs would work as their configuration would not be set up for a C: drive? I would prefer to get the 2nd bootable OS on the drive in the caddy as it will save constantly having to remove the C: drive and swap it with the 2nd drive. I am sure this is a fairly common issue, it's just that I have never set up this type of configuration before.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am planning to add some 1080p MKV files to a DVD+RW. I know I will probably have to convert them to a different format so that players can read them, but what format would you recommend I use and how should I go about it? Also I am wondering about the quality loss. To my understanding there will be a loss in quality, but will it be that significant? I want the video to look good, but I would like to use DVDs because I don't think my computer (Dell Inspiron N7110) can write to Blu-ray discs. And since that's the only way to put the files onto a Blu-ray (without buying a recorder for it) I am planning on using DVD+RW discs.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI get a router as an "added layer of protection". Currently I have a dell XPS i7 running norton 2012 that is directly connected via ethernet cable to a motorola SB5120 (using comcast high speed). My question is would adding a router actually add any protection to my PC? Comcast will provide me with a netgear WNR1000v2 wireless router, my friend looked that particular model up and said it has most of the features needed and should do the trick. Also, when I went down to comcast and looked at the router the person there showed me a feature on it that allowed the user to turn off/disable the wireless. If the wireless feature is turned off/disabled on the wireless router then no wireless signals are being transmitted correct?
