Media Center Defaulting To Middle Of Folder
Feb 4, 2013I am watching Naruto on my TV, using Media Center and a remote control for the PC. So I have a lot of episodes in my folder. After each episode I press "Stop" and WMC asks what I want to do; I choose "delete" - so that every episode I have seen gets put in the trash can. Now comes the issue: after deleting an episode; WMC puts me back in the middle of the folder, instead of going to the first number in the folder.
For example: If I have Naruto episodes 1-99 in my folder. I finish watching Naruto ep. 1 and delete it. WMC goes automatically to the middle of the folder: Naruto ep. 49. Instead of going to Naruto ep. 2 (as expected).
Because of this I have to browse back out of the folder, then enter the folder again. -In order to quickly reach the first episode (ep 2 in the example above.) This is not a big issue, but it's very annoying. One would think that WMC would default to the first in the list in the folder, but it doesn't.
WMC defaults to the first, instead of going to the middle of the list?
Make Windows Media Center Use My TV Speakers Only?
Jun 15, 2012Okay so here is my dilemma. I have a 23" ASUS lcd, that I as my main screen, and I have an HDMI cable running to my 32" TV for watching WMC recorded TV shows. My problem is that i have to go to control panel and manually switch from my monitor's speakers, which use the 3.5mm on my mobo, to my Samsung TVs speakers, which both display and sound are running off my motherboard's HDMI.
I hate having to change the default sound setting every time I want to watch TV. Is there a way to make Windows Media Center only and always set to my TV's speakers or some other workaround?

Jun 30, 2011I have an annoying problem with Windows Media Player and I wondered if anyone has a solution?It sounds so bloomin' simple and silly but I have got rid of loads of my CD's after putting them on computer. That's fine and dandy, but I'm having trouble with one particular CD that I saved....and I put the title in lower case.Now, all I really want to do is put it as it should be, in mixed....but I keep getting it updated and changed back again thanks to Windows Update (which is constant in terms of the library!)The CD is quite rare and so I'll be hard pressed to get it back to re-put it back on my computer.Sounds simple all I want in the work is for 3 words.It's a Queen album, "At The BBC" and it keeps changing back to "at the bbc" !

Sometimes they would become normal or too large but moving the mouse/keyboard made it just too WAY too small.I did a bunch of stuff recommended by Mozilla to fix but in the end I uninstalled FF including all personal data and reinstalled. May 8, 2012I push my system hard, and have the hardware to handle it (for example, 24G memory.) From time to time, I'll have an enormous amount of windows open. Right now, I have about 100 chrome windows open, with multiple tabs on each. Once there are more windows open than Windows can display vertically on my 1050px height monitor, it shows an up arrow at the top of the list it can display, and a bottom arrow at the bottom of the list it can display. If I hover over either of these arrows, it scrolls at about 3-4 windows per second, which can take forever to scroll to the bottom of the list (which is where the most recently opened windows appear.)

I heavily prefer the "tiles" format when viewing folders and I would like if there was a way to set that as a default viewing style for every/any folder (including new folders upon creation).

Printer Restarting In Middle Of Job
Jun 29, 2011Since I got my new computer with win7pro 64bit...... I've had an intermittent problem which is that when printing mostly from word2010(use this for 98% of printing) the print job will restart in the middle of the job(I print from 300 to 50,000 page jobs 99% are mail merges)

I've watched the print que while merging/spooling/printing and it never does it as it is spooling/printing only after it is done spooling and it is VERY, VERY random In the print que it will say: printing 356/2,500 then it will say Error-Printing the printer pauses then it will just start over spooling/printing from the beginning again my SAVIN IT TECH(they could not re-create the problem on another win7pro 64bit computer) and I thought it could be the product of using older version word .docs.....so I starting converting them to word2010 .docs and it was still doing it so then I started re-typesetting some starting from scratch with a word 2010 .doc and still have the problem but still very random printer and print driver have been uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times did not help disabled on board parallel port(in BIOS), disabled Bi-directional printing no help before new computer I was running winxp pro.....word2000 with no problems at all I have one other issue also......when writing files out to a winXP pro network connected computer sometime the files will get truncated....again VERY, VERY random starting to wonder if the BIOS or the memory is flaky in this NEW computer

Screen Goes Black In The Middle Of Gaming?
Oct 28, 2012My screen goes black no matter what game I am playing. Can be an old game like Condition Zero or Left4dead2. screen goes black but there is still sound, then the monitor shuts off unable to find a signal. I have two computers with pretty much the same specs- pentium core duo 2.8 ghz, 3 gigs ram, both have Nvidea geforce 9500gt and one has XP and the other windows 7. One is an emachine and the other a Dell.The thing that is wierd is that both PC's run games perfectly with the same gpu's in both, Nvidea 9500gt, but one gpu developed a bad fan after awhile. and so I took that 9500gt out of that one and took the other 9500gt with the good fan out of the other PC and installed it in the computer with a bigger HD. Now when playing any game it can play perfectly for a few minutes to an hour then the screen goes black and there is nothing you can do about it. ctrlaltdlt won't bring the screen back on to get to the task manager, and the monitor shuts off and I must do a hard shutdown at the power button and restart.
I reinstalled both the drivers that came with the gpu and updated drivers from Nvidea's website. neither works and the problem still exists. If I install the gpu with the bad fan back in the computer having the issue, the problem is resolved and if I install the cpu that I switched out back where it was originally in the original pc it works in that one as well, so placing the two gpu's back in the original pc's they were in works, so this means it's not the operating system causing the issue.
