Backup Failed At 57% Several Times With Error Code 0x81000039
Jan 20, 2012I have been trying to do a backup with system image since Jan 15th on an Iomega 1TB external HD. Tried about 7 times and each time the backup fails at 57%. The message I receive with each failure is as follows- "Windows backup encountered an error when accessing the remote shared file. The semaphore timeout period has expired. Details: Error code 0x81000039" I chatted with a tech from my external HD manufacturer and he finally told me that the problem was with my OS and settings. I tried doing a backup on a different external HD and still failed at 57%. I have no idea which remote shared file the program is looking for. I have a home network and one other computer. That laptop was turned on so if it was looking for a file there it was available. The tech suggested that I turn off my antivirus and firewall and if I was concerned about intrusion to disconnect from the internet. Did that and the backup still failed. I have the same setup on desktop and laptop Windows 7 SP!, Vipre antivirus and firewall, and I was able to do a backup on my laptop. Another slight problem is when I have the Iomega HD running my computer will freeze randomly. For this reason I don't keep it on all the time but just turn on for a monthly backup. I was able to do one initial backup on that HD with no problem. I was told to look at the windows backup log files but they all have a .etl extension and I do not know how to open them to see if the logs give me any idea what file it is hanging up on.

Sep 17, 2012After dealing with this issue for over 2 weeks and constant tinkering im freah out of ideas. Every time I launch a game thru steam mainly Half-life 2 games i can get anywhere between 5 to 15 minutes in to it the game will freeze for a second then black screen then back to desktop with a message HL2 has stopped responding. I check event view and thisd is the messages i am getting:

I have tried reinstalling steam, games, direct X, reinstalling windows, reintalling SDK 2007 I have also run Hard ware diagnostics on all my equipment.
Facebook Lags - Not Responding Status
Apr 13, 2012My Facebook lag so much. It always go on "not responding" status and keeps on lagging while I'm chatting. And some of my applications go wrong sometimes. I used HiJackThis but I can't do some cleaning because I know, there's something that shouldn't be deleted in order to keep your system running. I'll post the HiJackThis results and some of system specs.

Feb 14, 2011Error keeps showing up random times and interfering with some functions. Looks like it is a internet explorer file but I am not running Windows Explorer and took it off my computer a month or so ago.This is VEXING to say the least.If it is missing one would think you could just download the replacement but no notes about where to get one so I am stuck with this problem and no solution?

Frequently I get a crash when all that's running is a browser and Winamp (most recent one happened as I opened Winamp), but definitely had some in games as well.I've also had a few different error codes, the one in the title is the most recent and has come up before. The others I have gotten are 0x0000000A, 0x0000007E, and 0x0000003B. Computer is recently assembled but nothing fancy. Installed 7 for the first time a little over a week ago, Ultimate 64bit. Think I've got everything here asked of me, and will certainly scramble to get anything I missed.

Aug 10, 2012Ive recently built my own computer, however at random times when im on it, it will blue screen with a 0x0000004e error. I have Windows 7 professional 64 bit and ive also attached all the information including a few dumps from the times it has crashed. It has happened before a few times but i reinstalled the os so the dumps went with it. I will add more dumps each time it does blue screen. Also I downloaded BlueScreenViewer and it came back with a majority of the problems coming from a driver called "ntoskrnl". I have ran memtest for about 8 hours (With about 8 passes) and came back with no errors so i do believe it is a driver problem other than that, I have no clue what the problemI went on to run OCCT for 30 minutes, whilst it was testing it stopped and said there was an error in core 1. I then ran it again and it stopped again saying that there was an error in core 0. I have uploaded the graphs from both of these test for analysis. The minimum temperature ranged from about 26 - 29 degrees (Idle) and the maximum was ranged from 64 - 70 degrees.

Jun 28, 2011i recently got a computer from my aunt, and decided to put windows 7 on it. Before I installed it, I put in a Geforce 8800 graphics card and a (2nd) cd rom drive. After 20 failed attempts to install windows 7 (it kept freezing at the completing installation part) it worked after i disconnected the new graphics card and one of the hard drives. BSOD Happening At Random Times With Different Error Codes?
Nov 19, 2011I have had my acer aspire for about 6 months and for the past 5 months this BSOD keeps happening at random times, and the symtem reboots and then restores.I have tried various methods to stop this happening - and I am now at a loss - I have tried puting hotfix on and also restoring to factory setting, i have heard about updating the bios etc but i am not great with the technical side of things.My computer came with windows 7 on it and it no disc - so how do i unistall it and then reinstall? i am hoping that i dont have to do thi however i see no other option.i should add that i contacted acer and that they have agreed to take it back and look at the hardware, however it its a software issue which i think it is - they will charge me 80 to fix it.

Feb 16, 2011Basically the main problem is that whenever my computer is left running for any given amount of time, them I will get a system restart. I would be transferring a large amount of files from a hard drive to a backup overnight, only to find myself on the login screen and half of the files transferred next morning. Dec 30, 2012Well I just did a factory restor on my computer because I couldnt get it to start up. Well afterwards it seemed like it was running just fine, until the next day I turn it on and the entire computer isnt responging (I could still move the mouse though). Well this would stay that way for about 30 seconds and then it would respond and I could click on stuff for about 5 seconds and it would go back to not responding. It seems like it does this until its been on for about 15 minutes (when it warms up it runs properly).
