May 26, 2011My operating system is windows 7 and my problem is with the http.I used to have just plan HTTP but i click a button that said yes I want a secure connection and ever since then I have had nothing but problems. Every time I go to Facebook or Yahoo and click on an app I get an error message that says. Switch to regular connection (http)?We can't display this content while you're viewing Facebook over a secure connection (https).
Would you like to temporarily switch to a regular connection (http) to use this app?You will have a secure connection upon your next login.How do i change it back to a regular connection

Jan 4, 2012Bought a new HP Pavilion dv7-6157cl and when I tried to connect to my wireless Netgear N750 ( WNDR4000 ), I got a Error 651. My Acer laptop connects just fineI went to device manager, then to network adapters and the only item listed is Realtek PCIE GBE family controller. No WiFi adapter is listed. I removed the back panel and a Ralink 5390gn 802.11 b/g/n Wifi adapter is installed. I'm thinking the adapter is inop.

Mar 20, 2012I'm trying to connect to my home ssh server from work using putty so I can forward rdp and website connections. I've been having problems so decided to change the ports on my server to port 80 since it seems most other ports are blocked including port 443. When trying to connect I get the error incoming packet was garbled on decryption. Now I know the outgoing connection works fine as I've checked it in my router logs and it says packet accepted on port 80 from my work ip address. I just cant seem to get it past this point and this error is stopping the ssh tunnel from starting.

When i atepmt to connect using the wireless Belkin desktop card. i get this problem found by the Windows Network Diagnostics...(Wireless Network Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration) marked as 'not fixed'
So i contacted my ISP and once i told them i was running Windows 7, they no longer wanted to help me. (Frontier)
I have 3 PCs, 2 with Windows 7 and one with Vista.
1**My gaming PC(Windows 7) is connected via Ethernet and connection is fine.
2**My HP laptop (Win Vista) is connected via wireless, and is working fine.
3**My newest PC(Windows 7) was connected with Ethernet, but we cant deal with the wire hanging off the loft, so i got the Belikin wireless card. It installed fine, and sees my home wireless network, the password is correct, as well as the encryption, and security type.
But when trying to connect, i get a "Connecting to the network is tanking longer than usual" followed by a "the connection was unsuccessful"
I run the troubleshooter, and first it tells me to reset my router, which i have dine, and it doesnt help, so i go on to diagnose additional problems, and that is when i get the most important problem.....(Wireless Network Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration) marked as 'not fixed
I read a post by Esparko in this forum, with a very similar problem that was solved by SquonkSC..... Can anyone tell me what is wrong, and how i can fix this plz?
Firewall A VNC Connection Error
Nov 6, 2009I've installed a VNC client by Jaadu both on my win 7 64 system & my iPhone.
Everything went smoothly until I applied the FreeSSHd encryption program.
When I try to connect with the computer the iphone gets this error:
Connection Error:
connection refused. You may have a firewall blocking access. Please check your connection settings & try again.
Now FreeSSHd has forums, but for some reason I get get past the challenge textbox. I've tried several times with different browers. It just wont let me post a question there.
I've looked in the firewall section in the control panel, but I dont see anything about FreeSSHd to enable?
Any help or ideas?

Oct 24, 2012I am not 100% sure if i should be posting this here or not but ill just continue. Okay so i have a Dell infinion 15r-n5110 laptop. a couple days ago i dual booted up with fedora 17. i self partition the 1TB hd. i left the partition for windows 7 unscathed. ever since then windows 7 has not been able to ping my home broadband connection. i have personaly changed the DNS server to serveral addresses i have found on dozens of other forums but nothing helps me. i cant access a router to easy but i did at work finally today and even with the cable plugged in it will not ping in windows 7. however both wifi card and the wired connection work just fine in fedora. i am thinking its something to do with the boot processes not initalizing. i have downloaded and reinstalled the drivers off the intel website for the wifi netword device (Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 1030) and it still will not let me ping, i even went as so far as to turn off my firewall thinking it was a security issue and tryed to ping. still no luck. im hoping i have provided enough details and trial and errors for someone out there to give me something useful.

Dec 24, 2009I have my Windows 7 Ultimate PC here and I can connect to my worksite via the built-in VPN software in windows 7 no problem whatsoever.
I've just built a second PC and installed Windows 7 Home Premium on it, it is sitting here right next to me on my same network and it refuses to connect via VPN.
Username and Password is OK, I've perfectly mirrored the VPN configuration between the two machines and one connects and the other won't.
I've tried turning off all of the windows firewalls on the problematic system with no success.
Everytime it get's to verifying username and password and then it stalls there and eventually comes back with a 619 error. I've checked the logging, but I can't see anything useful there (but maybe i don't know what to look for?).

Nov 7, 2012(I was going to post this in the software section, but I assumed since it pertains to the network portion of the application and that I can connect through a VPN, that the problem is LAN Network oriented)I recently installed the software Raidcall (RaidCall-100% FREE Group Communication Software- IM, Group Communication and Voice Chat) which is a program designed to be a cross between Skype and Ventrilo. I avidly registered and the process went smoothly. That was all until I came up to login screen where after entering my information, I got the following error: Connection Failed. please try again later (Error code:23). Does this have something to do with Cyclic Redundancy Checking? That's the only information I could come up with. I've done as much research as I can think of, sent them an email with lots of information (no response as to the answer yet), and also asked on their forums but no dice.
Background information (I can provide more if needed)
- On a University Campus ( Technical Information | IT | Indiana Wesleyan University )
-I"m connected directly through to their wall. I"ve also tried swapping out my own cables to no avail.
- Have done an Error Checking Check for both drives (for CYC relation - which I think it may be the culprit (I"m not tech savy though hence my forum post)
- I CAN connect to it through a VPN (Hotshield) - obviously I don't want to have this be my way of connecting through it because I want to use Raidcall while playing (World of Warcraft) and it gives me horrible latency.
- I've called my IT support here at school, and they didn't think it would be something on their end. Although the guy on the other end did not sound intelligible at all.

One of them is songbird (the fire-foxy media player) which cannot listen to shared music, and SecondLife which uses it to make http calls, both of which make up pretty major parts of my day to day.
The actual error reads: "Network Connections
Cannot load the remote access connection manager service.
Error 711: the operation could not finish because it could not start the remote access connection manager service in time. Please try the operation again."
I found this weblink on microsoft support which explains that windows is stupid and I should load the following dependent services manually.

Telephony on my computer is already running, the Remote Access Auto Connection Manager depends on Remote Access Connection Manager, when I try to start the Remote Access Connection Manager service I get the error message: "Services Windows could not start the remote access connection manager service on local computer.
Error 1068: The dependancy Service or group failed to start."
The Remote Access Connection Manager depends on Telephony (already running) and Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol Service. When I try to manually start the Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol Service I get the following informative message: "Services

But in that I was having problem that it keeps giving error 711 (cant load Remote Access Service Connection Manager) whose soln provided on net doesnt work as 'secure socket tunneling protocol' service starts and stops automatically and other services are dependent on it. So the only soln is to reinstall windows. So I switched to XP again and this problem doesnot occur in it.

Info: the card never had a vista or windows 7 driver. A computer skilled took out a folder from the windows xp installer. Through device manager the folder is installed as driver, and the wlan card works. I wanted to use ubuntu 'remote terminal server'.Connected via pc to pc lan cross over cable. Maybe the connection succeded because ping test was ok. But never made the
program 'remote terminal server' work. At a point zonealarm made trouble, allthough disabled. Shutting down computer worked. Error: Next time I turned on the computer, wlan didn't work. The wlan card makes the connection but there is a yellow triangle on the wifi icon in taskbar. Under network it keeps hanging, messaging 'identifying'.I tried this: Reinstalling zonealarm basic. Reinstalling wlan card folder driver. Didn't work.
