I just reinstalled Windows 7 and added a new motherboard and cpu. I've been getting BSOD all day and it seems to be the same few errors every time, but at different intervals. I've attached a crash report from BlueScreenView.
View 9 RepliesI am trying to get my wife's new computer up and running without any BSOD or program failures. Note that the system was not initially set up to capture the dmp files so all the earliest ones are missing. I presented the initial problems to the original seller who recommended sticking with MSE and uninstalling Norton 360 and I did that. Another forum suggested that Virtual Memory was the problem and I disabled and restored VM. Still having multiple crashes and I am hoping that I can get real help here. I do note that all the crashes have ntoskrnl.exe in the driver stack although sometimes alone and sometimes with other drivers.[CODE]

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy custom built machine is about 9 months old. For the last 3 months or so it has been crashing multiple times per day (usually 1-2 per day). It doesn't usually crash for atleast 3-4 hours after the reboot. I can't find any thing to make it crash on demand and don't notice myself doing the same time each time it crashes. It seems pretty random.
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. It is the full retail version and was the first OS installed on this hard drive.

Already crashed 2 times today in 30 minutes. The first time i was just browsing, the second time i was playing Skyrim. This happens randomly every day. Windows 7 x64 This is what what i got from my latest crash.

Frequently I get a crash when all that's running is a browser and Winamp (most recent one happened as I opened Winamp), but definitely had some in games as well.I've also had a few different error codes, the one in the title is the most recent and has come up before. The others I have gotten are 0x0000000A, 0x0000007E, and 0x0000003B. Computer is recently assembled but nothing fancy. Installed 7 for the first time a little over a week ago, Ultimate 64bit. Think I've got everything here asked of me, and will certainly scramble to get anything I missed.

Also I downloaded BlueScreenViewer and it came back with a majority of the problems coming from a driver called "ntoskrnl". I have ran memtest for about 8 hours (With about 8 passes) and came back with no errors so i do believe it is a driver problem other than that, I have no clue what the problemI went on to run OCCT for 30 minutes, whilst it was testing it stopped and said there was an error in core 1. I then ran it again and it stopped again saying that there was an error in core 0. I have uploaded the graphs from both of these test for analysis. The minimum temperature ranged from about 26 - 29 degrees (Idle) and the maximum was ranged from 64 - 70 degrees.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had my acer aspire for about 6 months and for the past 5 months this BSOD keeps happening at random times, and the symtem reboots and then restores.I have tried various methods to stop this happening - and I am now at a loss - I have tried puting hotfix on and also restoring to factory setting, i have heard about updating the bios etc but i am not great with the technical side of things.My computer came with windows 7 on it and it no disc - so how do i unistall it and then reinstall? i am hoping that i dont have to do thi however i see no other option.i should add that i contacted acer and that they have agreed to take it back and look at the hardware, however it its a software issue which i think it is - they will charge me 80 to fix it.

my computer is recently crashing, I recently had some work done to it hardware wise and they had to do a fresh Windows 7 install because of all the hardware changes that Vista couldn't handle. They said if you do a lot of hardware changes, especially the motherboard you'd have to do a fresh install of Vista, and I said just do Windows 7. So a month it was working wonderfully on extensive games and recently maybe within this week my computer would randomly when loading games crash to the motherboard splash screen. Then when my computer starts up I see an AMD popup, and a Windows has recovered from an unexpected crash.

When the pc has frozen (does not respond to any keyboard commands etc) it sort of powers up, but I get no signal to the monitors and no 'beep' as when the pc boots up properly.If I leave it for 10-15mins it will boot up again fine, but then I get BSOD's. I have had multiple errors such as SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION , BAD_POOL_CALLER, and the BSOD not giving an error as before but listing a .sys file, such as FLTMGR.SYS, TCPIP.SYS, ATAPORT.SYS, NFTS.SYS.I haven't recently installed any new hardware apart from a new 4gb of ram (2x2gb sticks) which I have had for 3 months + now. The only other hardware/software I installed recently was a Logitech webcam, and oddly the crashes did start occuring after this.I have ran memtest for multiple sweeps on each stick of ram and no issue, I have also ran chkdsk and it found no errors.The pc this morning has really been BSOD'ing like mad, so I now have it in safe mode replicating what I was doing and no BSOD as of yet.I have a minidump of the most recent BSOD (as they dont always report a BSOD when they freeze).My pc is around 3.5yrs old, is running Windows 7 64bit, has an Intel Pentium CPU E2220 2.4 ghz processor, and 8gb of DDR2 ram.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAbout a 2 month ago I built a new PC, installed a fresh copy of win 7 x64 and started getting random BSODs. It only happened once/twice a week but has started happening more requently, 5 times in the past 4 days. I've done several MemTests (both slots, single slot, different RAM in each slot) and no errors have come up. I've tried to the best of my ability to update my drivers but I may have missed something. Also, the bugchecks are not consistent (1e, 7e, 3b, ect) although 1e and 3b are the most frequent.

New to the forums and really hoping someone could help. I have been having multiple BSOD over the past few weeks at random points, sometimes under load while playing games other times just when the machine is idle or simply logging into windows..I am running 16GB of Corsair Vengeance ram (2x8GB kits, so 4x4gb sticks in total) I have run memtest overnight with all chips in, just the one set (tested both sets) and also each chip individually with no errors. I have also swapped the chips into different slots and still getting BSOD.I have checked the BIOS and all memory config and voltages are as per spec. I have also monitored my voltages from PSU and those are within the acceptable ranges. Temps have been good aswell with CPU idel at aroun 30 with a max of 65 (Core i7 2500K) GPU's are running between 30 - 80 degree's (GTX 580's in SLI)I have also tried updating drivers but still cant shake these nasty BSOD's

My laptop was left on yesterday with numerous firefox tabs open (x20) for various websites, although no one was using the computer and this is a regular occurrence without fault until yesterday. I'd gone out fishing and noticed the BSOD and took this photo of the screen showing the full error as "stop 0x0000007A (0xc0487688, 0x3e5898c0, 0x96ed7e3e)"
I had altered the BSOD settings in the past to stop the laptop from restarting in order to have time to take note of the error codes in case of future failures, although I hadn't had any BSOD for over a year. The previous BSOD's were 0x000000d1 (netwLv32.sys) and 0x0000007e (Volsnap.sys), unlike those BSOD's, the one shown in the photo doesn't have a description other than the error code.
I had turned off the laptop while in BSOD, having completed dumping physical memory; subquent restarts were only reaching here followed promptly by a black screen with the flashing white underscore, which I could escape by alt+Ctrl+delete. At one point the laptop did load and somehow I was able to access System recovery options and selected startup repair, which I viewed the log prior to restarting and everything completed successfully and although I did restart the computer, I haven't been able to proceed further than the initial loading window or the defaulting black screen that follows.
I've tried running the BIOS setup utility, with the hard disk self test diagnostics, though this failed each time.
Not able to provide any debug logs until I can proceed further. Have the windows 7 back up DVD disc, but not sure if my DVD drive is playing up, as when I push ESC and enter into the boot menu selecting the Atapi cd/DVD rom drive, it only goes to the prior mentioned black screen and remains there long after 5 mins. The disc drive is heard to be working if the disc is within, though nothing results on the screen. I had recalled some difficulty prior to this BSOD with the CD/DVD rom, having decided it was either only a driver or possibly registry error or required itunes reinstall, as afterwards having successfully read a music cd with itunes.
I don't think I have the windows recovery discs or system restore discs, as I tried some I thought were these, but nothing occurred and I figure they must be from when I tested the windows 7 beta or W7RC or such. So only have the legit Windows 7 back up disc (32 & 64 bits), which I was running 32 bit. Only twice has it shown up "Press any key to boot from disc", although there was no response and it doesn't always reach this prompt.
Since last weeks I've had multiple BSOD's and it seems to happen mostly while I play games through steam. Games like GTA4, The witcher 2 and Sleeping dogs cause the crashes while I for some reason can play Shogun Total war 2 for hours without problems. Games that are not connected to steam, like Battlefield 3, seems to work good as well. I don't have any cd/dvd tools like Daemon tools installed.

I have noticed that they happen more often whenever Shockwave crashes in Chrome and does not recover. I've also noticed that I get a BSOD whenever I attempt a full scan using Spyware Doctor. Otherwise, these BSOD's really just happen wherever, whenever.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had this problem for a while and it drives me nuts. Every time I shut down my computer it will crash the next time I power up and try to boot windows 7. I can go in and out of sleep or hibernate without issue but if I ever shut down my system it will BSOD during the next power on. After this initial BSOD there are usually a series of BSOD (usually they report different error codes) in subsequent restarts. Eventually the system does seem to stabilize and stop crashing. Once things are working it will run for literally months without another BSOD.
