Blue Screen Error Code: 0x000000ed
Oct 7, 2012My laptop stopped working suddenly and began to try to reboot but failed. I got the following error codes on a blue screen, and I have no idea what any of this means. It then went to a screen that said it would repair windows start up but it didn't and I'm just left with the blue windows screen but no icons or buttons are visible. I've tried starting in safe mode and also restart at last known good configuration but nothing works.

I use windows 7 home premium, an XFX 750i nForce motherboard, intel q9550 processor and an EVGA GTX 460 GPU. I am also using 8Gb of wintec ampx DDR2 RAM. I am not sure what is causing this as I had just taken in my computer about a month ago for a diagnostics at tiger direct and they said everything was fine. I am going to try and run memtest tonight but am curious if anyone here knows what is causing this?

This prob has been around for months & every time, I need to force shutdown by long pressing the power key and reboot. When I uninstalled the generic usb my system automatically reinstalls it but sill gives the popup from time to time?

Apr 30, 2011I just finished my first build about 3 months ago, and everytihng was nice and dandy until NOW I start getting the blue screen of death. It says something like error dxgmms1.sys driver_irql_not_less_than_or_equal. I did just some limited resarch on the net, and people are saying that I should try to update my drivers. I updated the video card driver, I`m pretty sure I got the latest motherboard bios, and W7 says no current updates available. Now the last time it happned to me I was watching a movie so I figured it might be the video card? But on the net people say I should run memtest. So i did and while it was running it killed again?. So is the RAM or the video card, how can I find out?

Jul 26, 2012Ive had this laptop maybe 1 month it has a 1 year warrany, my issue is it seems to be blue screening non stop, generally when i open games, i was on D3/WOW when it happens the screen goes blue and says windows has experienced an unexpected error blabla.It did stop doing it for about 2 weeks however its doing it again today however now its got a different error saying DRIVERPOWR_STATE_FAILURE when i get the BSOD. i can also hear a fan in the computer maybe the gfx card?THe bug check code was 0x00000116 the first 3 times howevr now its 0x0000009f here is the BSOD from BlueScreenView:

May 3, 2012Blue screen and freezing. This is happening frequently but never has any regularity to it. Sometimes happens after a couple of days and sometimes after a couple of minutes. Also sometimes with only one browser window open and sometimes with 15 or more. Happens with both chrome and firefox. Has not happened with other programs as this lapy only gets used for surfing/email/forums etc. Sometimes happens while the computer is sitting idle right after boot. Very strange.

Aug 18, 2012A while ago I had some bluescreens with the error-code F4 which I could fix by updating the SSD firmware (from 1.3.0 to 1.3.3). But since then, I sometimes have a bluescreen with the errorcode 101. The bluescreens only appear while I'm playing Battlefield 3 or sometimes when I currently play nothing; in other situations my pc just freezes and I have to use the power button. With Google I found out, that this bluescreen is caused by an error with the processor, so I ran Prime95 and watched the temperatures with SpeedFan. The temperature of the second core was 98�C so I started logging the temperature. After another bluescreen I looked in the logfile but the temperature was only around 40�C. So it seems that nothing overheats (which is also proved by the fact that the bluescreens appears while nothing runs that stresses the hardware alot).

Jul 6, 2012I recently put together a new computer and installed Windows 7 on it. Everything seems to work fine, except when I resume using the computer after it goes to sleep, I get a BSOD. When I wake the computer up, it shows me the log-in screen, but when I click on my user profile to log in a blue screen appears. Also, it only seems to happen when the computer enters sleep mode on its own. If I put it into sleep mode, it wakes up with no problems.

BSOD - Second Hard Drive Causing Blue Screen
Mar 30, 2012I have a WD 320Gb 3.5inch hard drive that was originally bought as an external drive in an enclosure. A few months ago, while booting, my computer would go through blue screens one after another if the external hard drive was switched on from the enclosure when the computer was started. I never really did anything about that, just left it off and turned it on when i needed it. Mind you, it and the computer still seemed to work fine.
Now i have decided to keep it internally. So, as soon as i booted up after connecting up the same drive, i'm going through these exact same blue screens again. I'm not 100% sure if that is the cause but signs point to it.

The error message is:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
and the stop info is:

Jun 12, 2011For about a month or so I've been getting various BSOD messages. I have ran "chkdsk" and it came back with everything being okay. I've ran "SFC SCANNOW" everything came back fine. I waned to run a few more tests (like the ones testing RAM, but with my computer not really turning on for that long now it seems like it might be too hard to do) From what I've noticed in the dump files I think "USBPORT.sys" and "usbohci.sys" are the main problems, but I could be wrong. I'm not really sure what to do now. It's got to the point where it takes a lot of attempts to just log into my computer and even then it doesn't stay on for long (no more than an hour now). I kind of gave up on everything and decided that installing debian as another OS is the next option. I reset my computer back to factory settings but no luck, I'm still getting the error!For the record I've had this computer for just over a year now, and everything seemed to be fine until recently and now it just seems to keep going downhill. I also can't give you the more recent dump files because my computer would end up BSODing half way though getting them all together, but I do have some recentish ones and it seems to be the same problems happening. However earlier today I got the 3B error which I haven't really got much before.
