Blue Screen Error At Random Times / System Restart
Feb 16, 2011
Basically the main problem is that whenever my computer is left running for any given amount of time, them I will get a system restart. I would be transferring a large amount of files from a hard drive to a backup overnight, only to find myself on the login screen and half of the files transferred next morning. Or I'd be playing a game, surfing the web, even the simplest of tasks, it doesn't matter.
I am currently running Windows 7 64-Bit (A perfectly legal version too lol)
Here are the problem details of the blue screen. I am very certain it is the same exact problem every time. Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033
A month or so ago I started having the occassional problem with Blue Screens. There does not seem to be a specific time in which they come up it just seems to happen randomly. As of late it has been happening much more frequently. Also, though my menu bar says I have wireless access I constantly get the "Can not connect to a network" error message. I cannot click on the view networks options from the menu bar or from the control panel even though every other option in the control panel works fine. I have tried troubleshooting my internet connectiong and nothing ever comes up. I am using Google Chrome. I am currently running my laptop on safemode with networking in order to post on this site.[CODE]
I was using my laptop when all of a sudden the blue screen appeared and restarted automatically. And also additional info. My laptop's battery is broken for several years no so I used the adapter for power so I think that might have cause some problems with the way I used my laptop. I uploaded the files
My dad had been trying to install a usb modem for internet connection on my sony vaio laptop which is running on windows 7. For some reason every time after the installation was done and he clicked connect the system crashed and show a blue screen and showed something about writing a memory dump. In a few moments the system restarts but takes longer time than usual. He tried uninstalling and installing a couple of times and it always had the same result. I'm not worried about the fact that the modem did not work but the crashes worries me
i have been getting bluescreen error from past months and i have donr almost verything to resolve it but it still persists...i have given it for reformatting and the dell service put it under testing for 1 day but couldnt find the bluescreen..i have also reinstalled windows in another partition but it occurs in that too..it appears every morning after using my comp the night before.
For the past two months or so my PC has been randomly restarting with no noticeThis can happen when I'm playing a game, working on a word doc in OpenOffice, or browsing the web using Firefox or Chrome. It displays no error message besides the "Windows did not shut down properly" upon restarting. It seems to happen at least once a day. Sometimes it happens shortly after the computer starts up. Other times it happens hours later.- the original installed OS on the system? - Yep- an OEM or full retail version? - Full Retail- What is the age of system ()? - Roughly 14 months- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) - Roughly 14 months
I recently started getting this problem where my pc [desktop] crashes and restarts for itself. then sometimes i get the following message
Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3
[Code]....
i'm not sure if its the same everytime but this is what i got on the last occasion. i taut that the problem was with the amd catalyst suit, 12.8-which i upgraded to when it released- because sometimes upon restarting i did not get any display signal from the video card on my f22 aoc monitor. i did uninstall this driver and installed an older version [11.8 i think] and got an ease up on the problem. no restarting as regular as before. only during games.
been awhile since i been here but im back sadly and worried...So ima explain best i can what i did that maybe caused the BSOD. First off my cpu is OC but barely and no voltage changes and has been that way for 3 or so months. By default it runs at 3.8Ghz and i just OC it to 4.0Ghz and its been running that way fine for months and its made to be OC way more so i highly doubt its that. 2nd. I do have dameon tools and i see alot of ppl say that can cause it but again, its been on pc 4 ever and never had no issues with it and it rarely gets used but it still does get used here and there.3rd. I installed some codecs yesterday to try to get sony vegas to read a video and i probably installed 3 different codecs and some were named the same and it was the coded for a h264 or something like that, i already uninstalled that.
4th. No major changes have been made to pc, no recent windows updates, program installs or nothing has been done. Only thing i did most recently yesterday was upgraded a widget for reading GPU and its called GPU meter.5th. Finally and im scared this might be the issue is i noticed on sony vegas ( video editing program ) that it likes to max out all my cores and i noticed the temps reached 90-94 on my cpu which really scared me but ive only used this program twice but i was thinking maybe it was damaging my cpu but not sure. The last thing i was doing when it BSOD was i had a video uploading to facebook and firefox was open and a little dialoge box telling me how far video was done and apparently it got finished and i went to get drink and came back and BSOD was up and the pc didnt auto restart like it did before, had to force shutdown and restart.
I reformatted my computer multiple times, yet my computer seems to BSOD randomly. What happenes is that everything becomes unresponsive; cant alt+tab, cant ctrl+alt+del etc etc. everything freezes randomly... then boom, BSOD. its happened twice, with no apparent pattern. And then, when it restarts, it tries booting but then it goes into the boot selection screen and my SSD is nowhere to be found. I have to power off then power on again for it to boot up and log in.

I am having difficulty with drivers on my Acer Aspire 5253 system using Win 7. It is a couple months old. Within the last month, I have been getting random blue screen of death error messages in which the computer shuts down to prevent damage. The computer boots up fine without any problems. The blue screen that I see contains the same information each time.
I am using windows 7 ultimate edition here my system restarts eery 2 seconds with a blue screen error, i hae tried cleaning the ram but it is not coming up at all, what may be the solution .

I reinstalled my windows (7 SP1) five days ago and BSOD has happened many times since. This morning it happened 3 times in one hour when I was watching a film with Windows Media Player.
I just bought a new computer from Cyberpower PC and am having all kinds of trouble with it. I finally got it to work last night after reinstalling windows from the recovery disk. However, Now I am getting 2 blue screen of death messages. When I try start up it asks whether I want to "Start Windows Normally" or "Launch Startup Repair". When I select Launch Startup Repair I get a BSOD message saying Unmountable_Boot_Volume. When I launch Windows Normally I get a BSOD saying STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Verification of a KnownDLL failed. system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000020 (0x009224e0 0x00000000). The system has been shut down.
I have trying booting in safe mode and launching from last known good configuration and that did not work. I tried booting from the recovery disk and running chkdsk which, also, did not work. I have tried booting from the recovery disk and doing a system restore as well. When I boot to the recovery disk and select "Repair Computer" it says that "This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair.
Try using a recovery disc that is compatible with this version of Windows." This does not make sense to me as I just reinstalled Windows from that same recovery disc. Furthermore, when I try to boot the computer from safe mode it freezes at avgidsha.sys. I am going to try using an AVG recovery disc to disable AVG and determine whether or not that is a the problem. However, I have had so many problems with this new computer and am unsure whether it is a hardware or a software problem. And if it is a software problem whether it is a bad driver or bad copy of Windows 7.

I'm getting these at least 3 to 4 times a day, and I am starting to get a bit worried. It's a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and refers to athr.sys. I've attempted a virus scan and a Windows Memory Diagnostic but to no avail. What can I do to identify and remedy this problem?
I'm facing unexpected shutdown( blue screen error) so many times and my system going not responding so many time. Gaming is smooth (hd 7750) but sometime game stuck for 2-5 minute. I've to format my system windows drive every week.. backup doesn't work and now when I try to shutdown it's not going shutdown. It just shows that it is shut downing but even after the 1 hour it doesn't..
My system spec (3 year old): Windows 7 32bit, Intel c2d e7500 2.93ghz, 2gb ram ddr2, Intel dg41rq mb, Odyssey 450w psu 14a on 12v rail, ATI hd7750 graphics. WD Wavier blue 320 GB hdd 8mb cache
when I'm working on my computer suddenly blue screen appears and then it automatically restart when I'm check it shows that c:windowsMinidump81612-10405-04.dmp c:useradminAppDataLocalTempWer-20420-0.sysdata.xml.
Error keeps showing up random times and interfering with some functions. Looks like it is a internet explorer file but I am not running Windows Explorer and took it off my computer a month or so ago. This is VEXING to say the least. If it is missing one would think you could just download the replacement but no notes about where to get one so I am stuck with this problem and no solution?
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on an HP desktop purchased in January 2010 from a retail store. The OS came pre-installed on the machine and I have never re-installed it.I had been getting a BSOD maybe once a month for about a year. Now I've been getting a BSOD maybe once a week. They occur at random times, so I can't point to one activity that is causing them.Blue Screen View says the most recent 0x00000116 error was caused by dxgkrnl.sys. I recently updated the driver for my ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series card. It seems like every time I've had a BSOD, it's had something to do with my graphics card, but I'm not tech savvy enough to be able figure out if that's the case.I should point out that I just updated DirectX 9.0 and ran the OCCT GPU stress test and got no errors. I also ran the Memtest86 overnight for seven passes and got no errors
Ive recently built my own computer, however at random times when im on it, it will blue screen with a 0x0000004e error. I have Windows 7 professional 64 bit and ive also attached all the information including a few dumps from the times it has crashed. It has happened before a few times but i reinstalled the os so the dumps went with it. I will add more dumps each time it does blue screen. Also I downloaded BlueScreenViewer and it came back with a majority of the problems coming from a driver called "ntoskrnl". I have ran memtest for about 8 hours (With about 8 passes) and came back with no errors so i do believe it is a driver problem other than that, I have no clue what the problemI went on to run OCCT for 30 minutes, whilst it was testing it stopped and said there was an error in core 1. I then ran it again and it stopped again saying that there was an error in core 0. I have uploaded the graphs from both of these test for analysis. The minimum temperature ranged from about 26 - 29 degrees (Idle) and the maximum was ranged from 64 - 70 degrees.
I've been getting a strange problem that I thought I fixed a couple of months ago, although this time I was able to get a .dmp file and I was wondering if anyone is able to figure out why I keep getting this random BSOD. file attached.

If the attachment doesnt work, I have uploaded the information online at the following link: Free File Hosting - Online Storage; Upload Mp3, Videos, Music. Backup Files
I just rebuild my computer and it worked fine for a couple months now, but recently i have been getting random freezes and ''NVIDIA Adapters'' crashing on me, getting pixelated screens then total darkness and going back to desktop. To a random occasional Reset.Today however i received my first DUMP file and i am happy because i know some of you know how to read the issue within this file.
So I just built my own pc and i am having trouble booting it. When i turn it on, i have to choose wich mode i would like to open in. And wichever one i choose it shows the blue screen for a half a second and restarts. Then it just keeps on doing the same thing when i start it.
I have had my acer aspire for about 6 months and for the past 5 months this BSOD keeps happening at random times, and the symtem reboots and then restores.I have tried various methods to stop this happening - and I am now at a loss - I have tried puting hotfix on and also restoring to factory setting, i have heard about updating the bios etc but i am not great with the technical side of things. My computer came with windows 7 on it and it no disc - so how do i unistall it and then reinstall? i am hoping that i dont have to do thi however i see no other option.i should add that i contacted acer and that they have agreed to take it back and look at the hardware, however it its a software issue which i think it is - they will charge me 80 to fix it.
Since I got my computer, it has been giving me BSOD's almost every day. Crashes happen most often when playing games, but it has occurred at other times also.
one day it suddenly crashed while i was watching a movie. it displayed random patterns on screen. kinda like part of the image from the video is on the screen then a black strip and random colors. I restarted the unit to safe mode and left it on and browsed the net and downloaded some big files for how many hours and nothing happened.. there are also times when windows is still loading with the windows logo on screen, it crashes. there are also times when the login screen is displayed and it crashes. it just crashes randomly! so i tried to reformat it. i deleted the partitions and created a new one, formatted it then fresh installed windows 7 ( my previous OS is windows 7 by the way) and started installing the basic drivers and after a few hours, it crashed again...thinking that the driver installed might not be compatible, i tried another fresh install of windows (same execution, delete partition, create, install OS) and this time, without installing the drivers, it crashed again after a few hours... sometimes it crashes immediately after turning it on from cold start!
