Well I just did a factory restor on my computer because I couldnt get it to start up. Well afterwards it seemed like it was running just fine, until the next day I turn it on and the entire computer isnt responging (I could still move the mouse though). Well this would stay that way for about 30 seconds and then it would respond and I could click on stuff for about 5 seconds and it would go back to not responding. It seems like it does this until its been on for about 15 minutes (when it warms up it runs properly).
I'm facing unexpected shutdown( blue screen error) so many times and my system going not responding so many time. Gaming is smooth (hd 7750) but sometime game stuck for 2-5 minute. I've to format my system windows drive every week.. backup doesn't work and now when I try to shutdown it's not going shutdown. It just shows that it is shut downing but even after the 1 hour it doesn't..
My system spec (3 year old): Windows 7 32bit, Intel c2d e7500 2.93ghz, 2gb ram ddr2, Intel dg41rq mb, Odyssey 450w psu 14a on 12v rail, ATI hd7750 graphics. WD Wavier blue 320 GB hdd 8mb cache
I have a Macbook Pro w/ Snow Leopard 10.6x and I recently installed Parallels and Win 7 Prof x64 so I could access many of my military sites. I was up on the internet in my OWA, I had just gotten my CAC reader to work so I could access my email from home, when my computer got an update push and restarted. Once it rebooted I no longer had internet access and keep getting the DNS error message. I have tried setting the "preferred DNS & alternate DNS" addys and I will show an internet connection for about 30 seconds and then it changes back to no internet. I have tried turning off my Win Firewall and my Virus Barrier X6 software/firewall to no change. I have been on a Mac for about 2 yrs now and am trying to get the hang of Win 7 so I'm not great at the DOS Cmd like code for looking at everything. I have tried a few of the suggestions but nothing has worked and I don't know enough anymore to identify a problem when doing ipconfig /all etc. I have an Airport Extreme router that works fine with my macbook & my husbands Macbook as well, both wireless and ethernet. I however cannot say the same for the Windows partition and I don't remember enough to know where to look to trouble shoot any router issues etc. This issue basically nullifies the purchase of Parallels and Win 7 since I now can't get on the internet.
I try to open my firefox web browser on start up but error says: Firefox is already open but not responding, please close existing browser or restart the pc. I checked in windows start task manager but I don't see firefox open.
After dealing with this issue for over 2 weeks and constant tinkering im freah out of ideas. Every time I launch a game thru steam mainly Half-life 2 games i can get anywhere between 5 to 15 minutes in to it the game will freeze for a second then black screen then back to desktop with a message HL2 has stopped responding. I check event view and thisd is the messages i am getting:
I have tried reinstalling steam, games, direct X, reinstalling windows, reintalling SDK 2007 I have also run Hard ware diagnostics on all my equipment.
I have been receiving the ATI display driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered error. I formatted a partition on my PC with a fresh install of windows 7, installed latest catalyst drivers but no dice, ramped my fan speed up to 100% to troubleshoot and it definitely worked, stopped getting the error but pc starts seriously lagging after a while (playing spore & Black and White 2) playability also increases if I down the res from 1920 x 1080. This seems to indicate overheating n my opinion but I haven't seen the card go above 57 degrees. My chassis has no fans but with everything at stock should it overheat especially on old games. I have run Prime95 and Furmark all came out fine, no glitches. Max temp on Furmark was 84 degrees.
Im running Windows 7 Home on my laptop and some of my video editting software has been crashing and I get this error message."Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver NIVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 267.21 stopped responsing and has successfully recovered"Im running on the Alienware M14x, x64, 6GB RAM, quadcore processor.Video card is a Geforce GT 555M 1.5gb total video memory. It crashes when I am on Video Editting software like Adobe After Effects CS5.5.I have also noticed that my memoery usage goes up to like 85-90% which seems kind of weird. is it normal that my OS has 1.8gb on standby all the time?
i have installed windows 7 in may sysytem a few monts ago and since then each time i install a program the program works fine but after two or three restarts it give an error that the program has stopped working and give me two opptions (1)check online for more solutions(2)close the program and when i go to more details its says that the problem name is:APPcrash
my system is a 1 GB ram +2.66 GHZ processor+80 GB HDD+an Aopen mother board
So I have a pretty terrible problem. Right now, I'm running Windows 7 Build 7100 on a Toshiba Satellite Laptop with Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T3400 at 2.17 GHz and it runs beautifully.
My only problem comes when I'm playing a little game called Guild Wars. It runs pretty good for a while and then I run into my problem. My problem is that my screen goes completely blank and then reappears with this error message.
It happens to me every time I play Guild Wars. It never fails.
Anybody know why it does this? Any advice on what to do?
if i am playing league of legends i am getting an error named 'display driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered'.. dont know how to fix this.. i tryed newest patch but still it is not fixed, i tryed older versions but still no succes.. uninstalled the game and installed it but that dont work either.. i got a GeForce GTX 260 oc.
I am trying to load the site MYHABIT Sign In (don't judge me, ok? lol) and it won't load at all. If I delete the cookies it places on my computer, the home page will load and it will let me log in, but it won't load any of the merchandise pages at all - it just hangs there trying to load - I never get an error of any kind. I had been using OpenDNS after having some other trouble with my ISP, so I tried switching to GoogleDNS but that has made no difference.I ran the flushdns.bat file as instructed in the tips for posting thread, but forgot to save the snip as a jpeg before I ran the bat file.
I am a bit stumped here, my computer at work is getting the display error mentionedabove about every 4 or 5 days or so. When this error occurs the computer unresponsive, it will operate, but at an untolerable speed (like 5 minutes to open browser, during which time the mouse will not even move) The PC is a Dell vostro 220 -[URL]have searched for this error ongoogle and as well as here, but it seems as though this only seems to be happening tothose with discrete GPU's which we do not have. I have installed all windows updatesincluding one for the G45/43 express graphics, and it is still happening
I was using a program called NoLimits and Google Chrome on my Windows 7 computer. After about 30 minutes or so, all the programs was not responding.
After about 5 minutes or so, the screen shook and lines were on it. After that, I got the Blue Screen Of Death.
I restarted the computer. After the dell logo and below your computer type (Inspiron, Inspiron One etc), (before you see the Windows Error Recovery screen) I got an error message that said "A disk read error occurred. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reRECOVERY."
When I press Ctrl, Alt and Delete, The computer restarts and I get the same error message. Then, I have to shut down the computer and leave it off for at least an hour.
After an hour, I turned on the computer and I did not get the error message. After I logged in, I scanned for viruses, spyware and malware with the latest versions of all my antivirus programs and no was found. I tried everything I could do and none of them worked. I am posting this thread on my iMac computer with Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.7.
So I ran the test earlier today , and everything was fine. Max temperature after 11 minutes running the test was as far as I can remember not more than 85 it stayed stable with only 1 degree difference from time to time till I stopped the test. I am with Palit Gtx570 Sonic Platinium video card. So I didn't take a screen because I thought everything was fine. Seven hours later I ran the test again and then suddenly here is what happened :
Actually I bought my computer recently. I am using Windows 7 64bit. I had that problem and here is what I have done:
1.Reinstalling drivers from different sources - Palit, Nvidia and disc drivers. Tried older versions. 2. Reinstalling Windows - putting first the drivers of the video and then the drivers of other devices with the purpose to try to detect if there is a driver conflict. 3. Talked with the distributor which sold me that video card and they changed it with a brand new one. The same model. The first video card had that TDR problem quite often. This one not that often. The first one was able to force the TDR crash in two ways -no need of those test. I installed a game called - World of Warcraft and I tested it there was where i experienced TDRs for first time. After that I found out that I can force them to happen also when I am testing the " Windows experience index" - usually happens on the 3D Geometry and some other 3D tests. Somewhere in the internet I read that it was due to a low core voltage so here comes the : 4. I increased the core voltage a little bit to 1038 with afterburner program. But this didn't help at all. - this is considered for the first video card. Now I am kinda desperate. It cannot be from the vide card to be malfunctioning because it was changed with new one. It is not the driver too... As you can see the first time it passed the test of the FurMark with no reclamations second time it failed. Sometimes it passed windows experience index without a problem , other times it is experiencing TDRs. P.S. Here are the parts I am using - everything is brand new recently bought: i7-2600 3.4 Ghz ; Asrock extreme4 gen3; Palit GTX570 Sonic Platinium; Corsair Vengeance 2x4gb dual channeled 1600 ( CL:9); Seasonic 850W Bronze; Box - Thermaltake RX-I
I am windows 7 IE8. Keep getting internet explorer (not responding). So I have to wait then I click and I am back on track. Is it a windows 7 issue as there is nothing wrong with my computer?
I use Windows Ultimate 7th I have a problem because it started to appear on the desk as a message content: "Windows Explorer is not responding". "Windows can try to restart the Program" And then:
1. Close the program. 2. Wait for the Program to respond.
Intermittenly I get the "windows explorer not responding" this will happen about every 5 minutes for weeks then all of a sudden stop for several weeks. One weird side issue is I have two accounts on my computer, my wifes and mine.At times it will only be occurring on one account or the other. I am back into the phase of it occuring.I checked the "record problem steps" with windows and find this common error each time it occurs.
Every since I upgraded to Win7 Pro 64bit from Win7 Pro 32bit I have been getting "The DNS server isnot responding" error randomly and constantly (I attached the most current reports). I got rid of the Windows drivers and went straight to the Intel site for the drivers.....issue remains. Tried a complete power cycle of the router and modem....issue remains (No other computers are having the DNS issues, wired and wireless). I disabled the Bonjour Service (mDNSResponder.exe).issue remains. The is driving me nuts and I notice that the only way I can force the connection is to disable and enable the NIC
I am having issues with my wireless connections! My connection to my desktop is fine..but my wireless connection to my PS3, Iphone 4 and Hp Laptop is not working!
Provided below is the IP information..

my pc (everytime that i turn him on) open a little window which says "windows explorer not responding" then it doesn't ask me if i want to wait till it responds or end the process it just restart it and then its repeat it self....over and over again.i cant open any hortcuts or open anything, right now i am using my computer from safe mode with networking which i choose after i manually restarted my pc.i did not installed any software lately and these are they thing i was doing.downloaded mp3 file that i opened in itunes downloaded mkv file.plugged my ipod to the pc and tried to record a video from Internet with bandicam and it gave a message that says it cannot save the video or something i dont remember.
Since about 2 weeks ago when I boot up from the computer being shut down completely and I log on my computer wont respond when I click to open anything. Before this I have never had this problem so I dont know if its because of an update or maybe a driver issue im not sure. The only way my computer responds is if reboot it or if i just put it into sleep mode so it doesnt completely turn off.
My computer is becoming increasingly slow and unresponsive, after running several virus scans and degraments also ive rebooted my system, Now i've found that the entire computer freezes and comes up with "windows .exe not respinding, this program may respond if you wait" but it doesnt, my computer runs fine if i start it in safe mode but i'd much rather fully resolve the problem.
Yo people. So it was a regular day, found a program online and created a restore point before installing... suddenly about two hours later while surfing the interweb boom!! Internet Explorer stop responding so I think "it's not so bad... it happans timw to time" but the only differents is that the message doesn't pop up, like windows doesn't even relize it! But continuing on, I right click on the taskbar to start task manager because clicking the exit button fails the taskbar AKA explorer.exe caught the same flu as IE. So now I can touch the taskbar so Ctrl+Alt+Del is left... screen turns black as always when I do the keystoke but it stays black. So I shut off my computer. Start-up was a little more slow and worked fine before I open IE and it starts all over again. I try restoring, scanning (later with various other antivirus) nothing found, memory test (normal), and everything else like uninstalling unused programs and fixing the registry with Registry Repair. I got Startup Delayer which helped with the slow Start-up but nothing eles. But sometimes like 1/5 times my computer boots up and i perfect like before but when I turn it off it happens again on the next start-up
when closing my computer,it always ask me to wait for installed update and this will take me for moe than 6hours, please i need help.....am using window 7
I've win 7 ultimate sp1 32 bit this is a different problem than others because most people get 3 options * ie, close, restart, wait but in my case the windows explorer stops responding at awkward places like when i open my computer , open a folder or i'm just at the desktop..just a pop up that explorer has stooped working & IT RESTARTS AUTOMATICALLY WITHOUT GIVING THE 3 OPTIONS *MENTIONED ABOVE.I've tried everything like formatting , chkdsk/f , chkdsk/f/r , defragmenting , wiping the hdd, registry fix/defragment, virus / any ware scan with an updated anti virus...i even formatted & reinstalled the OS but i still get this problem.
