Program Windows Show Not Responding
Oct 16, 2012whenever i try to minimise any application in my windows 7 ultimate dell vostro laptop, the window does not minimum and the laptop freezes for sometime and the top of the window reads 'Not Responding'.also the laptop has become very slow and takes time to startup and shutdown.

Dec 11, 2012i performed multiple googles. but for the life of me i can not find the regedit for the value that controls the timeout for programs that "appear" to be unresponsive. the exact problem.is that when a game is loading a map or something that like midway the games window title bar displays the Not Responding. and if you click it dulls out and window and brings up that prompt to end the program or wait for it to respond.
i know there is a regkey for a value somewhere that tells w/e windows uses to classify a program as not responsive in milliseconds. or some odd measure of time.
i just need the regkey for the timeout value. god i hope someone knows what i am talking about.

Aug 14, 2012I installed Weathrbug Plus and for some odd reason recently when I run it Windows runs the installation for the program. When I run the prograsm I get the typical "Preparing to install..." abnd then tyhe 'Configuring Weatherbug. I've been in contact with Weatherbug Support all day and we can't seem to find an answer.I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials.This is a clean install of Windows 7. I haven't used any other real-time security software other than MSE.I disabled MSE and tried it and got the same results.

Dec 12, 2011I don't know where this error hs_err_pid came from.I closed down explorer and there were all this notepad messages on my desktop and I can't get rid of them. Researching, I know this is a Java thing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail.My windows update is fully updated.I've run 3 virus programs.I notice this was addressed for someone using XP but what of Windows 7? My add/remove program file only contines the program Java (TM) update 29. Nothing else is listed as far as Java is concerned.I've run cleaner programs and these did not take care of the problem. Feb 25, 2012I have been using a program called Raw Therapee. I downloaded a new version and on installing it quit saying the old version must be removed. I could not find it listed in Revo Unistaller Pro, so I did a forced uninstall with the location of the main executable. This removed a lot of stuff. I checked the program folder and the folder and many files were still there, so I deleted them. I did a CCleaner in between and after. I then unhide and show system files and deleted the folders in the Appdata of main user and admin account, couldn't find it anywhere else.
CCleaner again and reboot. Went to install the new version again and it claimed that the old version was still installed. I did a search for *aw The* and found an entry in the hidden Program Data Folder. In the Admin account it will not let me in this folder to delete any remnants of the old version of Raw Therapee.

Recently something changed and now I get the UAC pop up asking if I want this program to make changes to my computer.Issue is this, I can set to record a program, but with the pop up now coming up, I have to be avaliable to click to record the progarm.Currently I have the UAC set not to ask (pop up). However I understand the reason for the UAC asking and I prefer it to ask. So what I need is a way to allow ArcSoft to run without the pop up, but all other programs to ask for security. What is the way to do this for this one program?

One weird side issue is I have two accounts on my computer, my wifes and mine.At times it will only be occurring on one account or the other. I am back into the phase of it occuring.I checked the "record problem steps" with windows and find this common error each time it occurs.

May 8, 2012my pc (everytime that i turn him on) open a little window which says "windows explorer not responding" then it doesn't ask me if i want to wait till it responds or end the process it just restart it and then its repeat it self....over and over again.i cant open any hortcuts or open anything, right now i am using my computer from safe mode with networking which i choose after i manually restarted my pc.i did not installed any software lately and these are they thing i was doing.downloaded mp3 file that i opened in itunes downloaded mkv file.plugged my ipod to the pc and tried to record a video from Internet with bandicam and it gave a message that says it cannot save the video or something i dont remember.

Well afterwards it seemed like it was running just fine, until the next day I turn it on and the entire computer isnt responging (I could still move the mouse though). Well this would stay that way for about 30 seconds and then it would respond and I could click on stuff for about 5 seconds and it would go back to not responding. It seems like it does this until its been on for about 15 minutes (when it warms up it runs properly).

Sep 8, 2011Yo people. So it was a regular day, found a program online and created a restore point before installing... suddenly about two hours later while surfing the interweb boom!! Internet Explorer stop responding so I think "it's not so bad... it happans timw to time" but the only differents is that the message doesn't pop up, like windows doesn't even relize it! But continuing on, I right click on the taskbar to start task manager because clicking the exit button fails the taskbar AKA explorer.exe caught the same flu as IE. So now I can touch the taskbar so Ctrl+Alt+Del is left... screen turns black as always when I do the keystoke but it stays black. So I shut off my computer. Start-up was a little more slow and worked fine before I open IE and it starts all over again. I try restoring, scanning (later with various other antivirus) nothing found, memory test (normal), and everything else like uninstalling unused programs and fixing the registry with Registry Repair. I got Startup Delayer which helped with the slow Start-up but nothing eles. But sometimes like 1/5 times my computer boots up and i perfect like before but when I turn it off it happens again on the next start-up
