Problem: Windows recognizes this printer and lists it as 'unspecified device'. Attempts to load a printer driver which worked in XP X64 is unsuccessful as also is when I tried to load/find its driver through device manage>listed printer>search through Internet. HP says NO PLAN to support driver for this printer for x64.
I hate to discard an old but working printer. Any suggestions?
Can't get the driver to work on Windows 7. Anyone have suggestion on how to do this.

It always displays once upon each boot/login. I'd prefer to NEVER have to see it again.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 32bit installed on an ASUS P5RD1-VM mobo with an nVidia Geforce 8500 GT graphics card.
I have tried numerous times to install the Windows 7 (32bit) Driver from manufacture site, but when it tries to install the drivers, I get an error message saying "No drivers were found that work with your device. Setup will now close."
I don't get this! I'm on that graphics card right now, in Windows 7, and typing this thread...
Also, in Device Manager, there is no "Display Adapter" listed.... I can't seem to find any evidence of a generic display driver either....
I've already solved the problem of my sound not working (SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio) and this is the last thing I need to get Windows 7 working for a REAL test run!
How can I get these drivers installed?

I recently got a projector from a friend and im trying to setup dual screen.
First of all im a bit confused by the Graphics Card itself. I looked for pictures of the card which my computer recognizes as a nVidia GeForce 8500 GT and none have a HDMI port but mine does. So i opened the case and the card has ATI and Foxconn written on it but nothing with nVidia on it.
I have a HDMI to VGA cable which im trying to use to go to my monitor but when i plug it in while switched on i get nothing on the monitor but the projector still works and if i plug it in then boot I get no output on my monitor and just just a black screen and the mouse pointer on my monitor.
I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions ?
I have a 8500 all in wonder 128 mb card. the machine is win 7. i can install the drivers, but cant seem to get the control center to install. when i do try to install it, the message tells me to install generic card drivers first. i have tried that to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the past day windows wants to install the same 4 updates over and over, I have windows update set to download and let me choose when to install.
I can't understand why I even need them, as I uninstalled net framework. Notice how the update at 8:17 AM., KB2656368, is the same as one of the 4 updates installed at 7:47 PM. Windows wants to install the same four kb files again. How do I stop this?

View 0 Replies View RelatedI just built a new computer running Windows 7 64-bit and I’m loving it. However, I have one problem that I just cannot seem to fix. I have two printers - HP Deskjet 5550 and an HP Officejet 6210, both of which I cannot print to.
When I send a job to be printed from ANY program (IE, Word, notepad, etc), the job in the print queue immediately says 'Error-Printing". When I run the printer troubleshooter it says there is a 'print job in the queue that is preventing the printer from working' and the troubleshooter will restart the print job which doesn't fix anything.
If I go into the Event Log I can see that windows is logging Print errors. Please click here to view the error:
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f77/mattd860/print_error.jpg.
Basically, the error says Spooler Operation Failed with Event ID #372. Searching for this error and event ID on the web has yielded no viable solutions.
Here's what I've done so far to try and fix this problem:
Uninstalled printer/reinstalled
Stopped and restarted spool service
Made sure spooling was set to AUTOMATIC (and it was)
Tried alternate printer drivers (from different printers)
I am running a fully updated Kaspersky Anti-virus so I've ruled out the possibility of a virus.... although I guess this might still be the problem?
To me it seems like something in the /windows/system32/spool folder is corrupt but I don't know where to begin fixing it. I guess I could delete the whole directory and copy the .../spool folder from my laptop running windows 7 but I don't want to risk messing up my otherwise perfectly running machine.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently installed Windows 7 Ult. 64-bit on my new Asus G50vt-x5 laptop. I am unable to get my Officejet K60 to work with it, though every website I've gone to says that it should automatically show up when it's plugged in. The printer still works as a standalone copier, and it worked with my previous computer -- an Xp Pro system.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm working on 7100RC 64-bit. I have a HP Officejet 4215 All-In-One. I installed the full HP software downloaded from the HP web site for Vista 64-bit for this AIO. It appears to install OK, but the scanner does not work from the HP Solution Center (Digital Imaging Monitor) software which use the TWAIN drivers (I think). I can however, access and use the scanner by using another application - Adobe Acrobat, for example - by choosing to use the WIA drivers. (If I choose the TWAIN drivers to scan in Acrobat, the operation dies.) Using WIA from another application is a workaround, but I would prefer to use the HP Solution Center because it gives me a lot more flexibility and options. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times with the same results.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a new HP Officejet 6500 Wireless. The software disk will not install. I was able to load the drivers through the "Add a Printer" and can print in wireless mode. I tried to download the "software" for the scanner and fax on-line...it would not load either. I contacted support and they said it may be a "installer" issue. Does that make sense? I tried to run the software again and got a "fatal error"

Are there any up to date drivers for HP Officejet 6500, that will will work with windows 7. I haven't had this printer that long, and have new laptop with windowas 7, and now the printer won't work. I will printer and scan picture etc. can print it, but you cannot save it into documents and I cannot use fax anymore. It is not a wireless model. I can't afford to go out and keep buying printers everytime computers are up loaded with new Micrscoft products. I have tried HP, keep telling me warrenty is expired. I can't believe HP doesn't keep their up grades to date. I canot afford to buy new printer at this time.
