Dec 16, 2009Can anyone help me get my Apple Laser-writer 8500 working in Windows 7? I have the IP address assigned and can ping the printer. I just can't find a driver to install.

Usb Doesn't Have Apple Usb Driver
May 24, 2012I've had my ipod for over a year and it is jailbroken. One day my ipod couldn't sync with itunes and i figured out that my apple usb driver wasn't listed in device manager. I uninstalled itunes and everything and reinstalled it but it didn't help. I need to put music on my ipod and backup my apps.

Nov 29, 2009I have Windows 7 32bit installed on an ASUS P5RD1-VM mobo with an nVidia Geforce 8500 GT graphics card.
I have tried numerous times to install the Windows 7 (32bit) Driver from manufacture site, but when it tries to install the drivers, I get an error message saying "No drivers were found that work with your device. Setup will now close."
I don't get this! I'm on that graphics card right now, in Windows 7, and typing this thread...
Also, in Device Manager, there is no "Display Adapter" listed.... I can't seem to find any evidence of a generic display driver either....
I've already solved the problem of my sound not working (SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio) and this is the last thing I need to get Windows 7 working for a REAL test run!
How can I get these drivers installed?

NVidia GeForce 8500 GT Dual Screen
Dec 8, 2009I recently got a projector from a friend and im trying to setup dual screen.
First of all im a bit confused by the Graphics Card itself. I looked for pictures of the card which my computer recognizes as a nVidia GeForce 8500 GT and none have a HDMI port but mine does. So i opened the case and the card has ATI and Foxconn written on it but nothing with nVidia on it.
I have a HDMI to VGA cable which im trying to use to go to my monitor but when i plug it in while switched on i get nothing on the monitor but the projector still works and if i plug it in then boot I get no output on my monitor and just just a black screen and the mouse pointer on my monitor.
I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions ?

Jul 2, 20111st- the Apple keyboard (model # MB110LL/A) isn't listed as compatible with Windows 7. But I like it very much & had an extra one & decided to make use if it on my Windows 7 PC. The only issue I have using it on my PC is that the powered USB hub on the keyboard only works with the mouse. If I plug in a flash card I get a Power has been exceeded error. I have plenty of other hubs to use but I'm just curious why this hub works perfect on my iMac but not on Windows 7 (64-bit). I've installed all Bootcamp drivers but it still errors. So, here's how Apple's version of Device Manager looks; refer to as Keyboard Hub.My guess is somehow Apple allocates additional power when needed to it's USB hubs whereas Windows does not (Windows has a max of 500mA). There are several references to Extra Operating Current (see photo) to perhaps support that. Anyways, the only question I have is there a way to fix this? Perhaps a motherboard setting (Gigabyte) or a different driver.

One thing I did learn is that the apple device seems to want WEP2 type security, but that totally knocks out my wireless connection from my pc to the network. I changed it to WEP and got my computer connected again but either way I could not use, access or "see" the apple device.

Apple 30" Cinema Display Resolution
Nov 22, 2010I used to use a MBP as my main computer, coupled with a 30" Apple Cinema Display (Model A1083 - purchased three years ago). I recently purchased a PC (i7-950 3.06 GHz; AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB; Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) to use as my home computer, and the MBP for mobile purposes. However, I cannot get the new PC to recognize the native resolution of the Apple Cinema Display (2560x1600). The monitor shows a maximum display resolution of 1200x800. I am using the only connection the monitor has to hook into the PC -- DVI-D Dual Link.In the screen options, under Control Panel, it shows the monitor as "CINEMA" but the drivers reflect "Generic PnP monitor".
From what I can discern, people used to use WinACD (WinACD | Download WinACD software for free at SourceForge.net) as a fix for this common issue, but the file has been discontinued and the last version was made for WindowsXP.

Aug 27, 2011I have a custon ASUS m48A89GTD MOBO runnin windows 7, and a apple wireless keyboard and magic mouse with a cheap generic USB bluetooth dongle, which runs on a "broadcom 2.0 + USB dongle driver" .The keyboard and mouse pair with no problem, i can restart the pc and re-pair the devices perfectly.However, if i manually remove the dongle and reconnect it, all pairing info is lost and have to re-pair,
While the pc is shut down, the dongle remains lit with a "standby" power supply, If i remove the dongle and reconnect it, even if the pc is off, the problem repeats itself.same goes if i disconnect the pc from the wall outlet.Apparently the dongle has to remain "powered" for it to remember all the pairing and devices info.this is quite annoying, because i have to whip out my wired keyboard to re-pair every time this happens.

When I compare the contents of Apple Mail folders to Live Mail folders they appear to use a very similar file format.
Apple Mail uses .emlx and Live Mail uses .eml - when each file type is opened with a text editor they look fairly similar (in the sense that they're not just binary files).
The file naming seems a little different, and I don't understand the folder structures, but it would be great if somebody could help me move this stuff over.

Jan 7, 2013Okay so, my laptop's system is unable to boot, so I just tried to format it since I have to do that for a very long time, and when it asked me in which partition I want to install windows there was nothing, although when I clicked "Load Driver" I could access the hard disk's files, the hard disk IS listed in the bios normally but windows does not recognize it, I tried using Kaspersky Rescue disk(the only CD I had along with the recovery disk)and when I used the File Manager, the hard disk still didn't show, are there any drivers I have to install?I have burned both fujitsu9that's my laptop) and Seagate's websites and can't find anything, I have searched forums but the only answers were "check if your hd is listen in bios".So, i IS listed in bios but I can't reinstall windows nor access it
