NVidia GeForce 8500 GT, Drivers Won't Install
I have Windows 7 32bit installed on an ASUS P5RD1-VM mobo with an nVidia Geforce 8500 GT graphics card.
I have tried numerous times to install the Windows 7 (32bit) Driver from manufacture site, but when it tries to install the drivers, I get an error message saying "No drivers were found that work with your device. Setup will now close."
I don't get this! I'm on that graphics card right now, in Windows 7, and typing this thread...
Also, in Device Manager, there is no "Display Adapter" listed.... I can't seem to find any evidence of a generic display driver either....
I've already solved the problem of my sound not working (SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio) and this is the last thing I need to get Windows 7 working for a REAL test run!
How can I get these drivers installed?

NVidia GeForce 8500 GT Dual Screen
I recently got a projector from a friend and im trying to setup dual screen. First of all im a bit confused by the Graphics Card itself. I looked for pictures of the card which my computer recognizes as a nVidia GeForce 8500 GT and none have a HDMI port but mine does. So i opened the case and the card has ATI and Foxconn written on it but nothing with nVidia on it. I have a HDMI to VGA cable which im trying to use to go to my monitor but when i plug it in while switched on i get nothing on the monitor but the projector still works and if i plug it in then boot I get no output on my monitor and just just a black screen and the mouse pointer on my monitor. I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions ?

Well, I have this problem: After installing 64bit 186.03 (tried 185 too) NVIDIA drivers for notebooks (I have geforce 9200m gs) and restarting, windows just won't boot up. The screen goes black and then reboots without even showing the "welcome screen". I've tried this with 7100 and RTM builds (Didn't have any problems with xp though).

NVidia Geforce 9600GT Install Drivers Problem
I installed Windows 7 RC1 Build 7100. It was giving out the BSOD error during installation. Then i switched to my Onboard display and installed the RC. Windows 7 wont boot if 9600 GT is selected as display adapter in BIOS. It gives the BSOD. I can only boot into safe mode if i choose 9600 GT as the primary display adapter in BIOS. Meanwhile Windows 7 works fine with Onboard display. I tried the following to install drivers for the 9600 GT. 1. Boot into Windows 7 safe mode (Display adapter is 9600GT) and the tried to install the drivers. Installation was successful. But same BSOD when i restarted. 2. Booted Windows 7 in safe mode and then went to Device manager and uninstalled the 9600 GT. Then selected the option Scan for Hardware changes from the menu. Now 9600 GT is listed as VGA Compatible device under the Onboard display. When i right click it and select update drivers and locate the drivers it gives an error saying "Windows found the drivers to install but an error occured. Could not find the file"(not the exact error message) I get the following error message in BSOD. 0x0000007E (0xC0000005,0x9814E8A2,0x93CCD804,0x93CCD3E0) igdkmd32.sys I tried the following driver. 186.18_desktop_win7_winvista_32bit_english_whql.exe This driver was suggested by a guy in a different thread. But didn't work. Anyone please help me in installing my 9600 GT in Windows 7. I tried to be as descriptive as possible.

Sigmatel Audio Drivers Won't Install
Have a tablet PC that I just installed Seven onto. Even though it's an old box, Windows update found nearly all of the drivers. The one it didn't find is for the AC97 Sigmatel audio. So, I grabbed the drivers I used for Vista (they're actually XP drivers) and tried to install them. Did this again and again, using different compatibility modes every time. Got no indications of failure, but never worked, either. Tried removing the device and having Windows Update search for a driver. No luck. Tried installing driver from selecting from list. Only Sigmatel driver in the list is for HD -- which I don't have. Even tried the MS WDM driver -- and it refused to install it. I read in another thread that there are supposedly generic AC97 drivers --but I can't figure out how to install them. The relevant driver files from Vista are STAC97.sys and staco.dll -- which tells me this is a STACS AC97 audio chip. But I just can't figure out how to get a driver installed.

Conexant AC-Link Drivers Won't Install
I have a HP Pavilion zv600 (model zv6123cl). The drivers section for my computer on HP.com only lists XP drivers, which fail to install. The Vista section (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=500261&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us&y=6&x=8) only has drivers for the quick launch buttons. I've also downloaded the package suggested at http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprohardware/thread/f4dfec8a-e2c9-44b0-ac8b-f8dcfe80ab4a, but these also fail, even when checked for running as admin in Vista compatibility mode. Windows Update doesn't have any downloads. Device manager lists the device as "Muiltimedia Audio Controller", with the little exclamation point. Does anyone have any other drivers for the Conexant CX20468-31 AC97 Audio that might work with Windows 7?

South Bridge Drivers Won't Install
I just built desktop with ASUS M4A78 Plus mobo and was getting BSODs constantly using windows 7 64-bit. I just installed XP 32-bit and ti's running fine. One thing I noticed is on XP the south bridge drivers installed but on Windows 7 whenever I tried to install them using catalyst manager or driver from ATI's site it would not install. It would attempt to install the north bridge drivers which the log would say successful but catalyst manger would always say they weren't installed. Has anyone experienced this problem or now a fix for it?

Can't Install Drivers For Devices Nvidia 8400M GT Graphics
A couple days ago, I installed Windows 7 (through MSDNAA). I have a problem with some devices. The situation can be seen here: I tried updating driver software through windows and it said it was unable to find drivers I have no idea what the "Unknown Device" may be. The "Multimedia Video controller" I'm guessing is my Nvidia graphics card? The Mass Storage Device I think is my Magicgate memory card slot, but I'm not sure. I have an Nvidia 8400M GT graphics card and judging by what I've seen on the resolution window (and device manager), I'm currently running on my standard VGA graphics device, and not my Nvidia. I manually searched for the drivers for my graphics card off the Nvidia site, but every time I try to install it, I get this messege ]I've already tried reformatting and reinstalling windows 7, now I'm running out of ideas. Can anybody please help? I'm using a Sony Vaio TP3 computer. It's a "desktop" with laptop components and was initially running on Vista.

X64 Won't Detect GeForce Card, Only VGA
So, I upgraded from 32-bit Vista to Windows 7 RC. All went well, except for my computer now only detects (under Display Adapters) a Standard VGA Adapter. I have a Dell XPS M1530 notebook, and it came with a nVidia GeForce card, I believe it was a GeForce 8600M GT. I right-clicked and told it to check for hardware changes, but it will not detect the graphics card. Because of this, it is not displaying any of the Aero effects, etc, and my second monitor is not receiving any signal although it is properly connected. Does anyone know how I would be able to fix this?

NVidia GeForce 8600M Drivers
I have a problem with my nVidia drivers. When I first installed Windows 7, I installed the GeForce drivers (big mistake). Then I installed the automatic update of nvidia drivers that Windows 7 downloaded. This lead to problems. I have now unistalled all drivers. Windows then looked for it's own drivers, and said they were installed. However, Aero doesn't seem to be working (all taskbars are gray). I can't download the drivers from the nVidia site, because for some reason they haven't put the Windows 7 drivers for mobile gfx cards online. I can't download the driver via Automatic Update because Windows seems to think I already installed it. Does anybody know how I can find these drivers?

When I came to know about the 'Automatic Update' provided by Microsoft which updates the graphics driver for this version of Windows 7, I updated my system and re-booted but could not make it to the Windows 7 desktop screen. The system displays a blue screen and after which the system re-boots again. Is anybody else facing the same problem or am I going wrong about something?

Nvidia GeForce ForceWare Drivers 190.15
These drivers are VERY BETA, use at your own risk! However, I have noticed a slight increase in performance (Versus the 186.18 Drivers) in the Crysis Benchmark as well as the Counter-Strike: Source stress test. I haven't tried 3DMark or any of that jazz yet. DOCUMENTATION FROM THE GURU3D SITE: There's a new NVIDIA GeForce driver out on the loose and it's in fact the first series 190 driver ever. This is Forceware 190.15 The driver is available for Windows Vista 32- and 64-bit and for Windows XP 32-bit flavor is available. Very little is known about this driver but we need to that the original .inf file shows it was targeted at Quadro cards. We replaced the index with a modified .inf files (courtesy of laptopvideo2go) making the driver compatible with all current GeForce cards. Interesting is that the Vista / Win 7 drivers also contact 3D Stereo drivers revision 190.15, look inside the archive to spot that yourself. These drivers are to be considered very beta and thus treated as such. You install them at your own risk, don't complain to us or NVIDIA if they do not work out for you. Win 7 | Vista 64-bit: GeForce ForceWare 190.15 Win 7 | Vista (64-bit) download from Guru3D.com Win 7 | Vista 32-bit: GeForce ForceWare 190.15 Win 7 | Vista (32-bit) download from Guru3D.com Windows XP 32-bit: GeForce ForceWare 190.15 XP (32-bit) download from Guru3D.com XP 64-bit users: I could not find the 64-bit XP version of this driver! Try the 32-bit and see if it works!

Graphics Drivers For NVIDIA GEforce 4 Series 64mb
Am running the windows 7 rc on my old pc and it is working just fine, only problem is I can't seem to get a resoloution higher than 1024x768. I have this pc plugged into my 32inch tv so as you can imagine 1024x768 doesn't look great... Previously I had XP on this system and it let me display a resoloution of 1360 x 768 or something along those lines, so it isn't really that my graphics card can't display a higher resolution it's just that I don't have the correct drivers for it. Like my PC my graphics card is also very old and I think it is a NVIDIA G force 4 series 64mb...  Awesome I know :P I've looked on their website and the only drivers for that card are for xp and older versions of windows : Any ideas on what I can do to get a nice big resolution ?

Problems With NVidia Drivers For Zotac GeForce 9400 GT Super 512 Mb
I have problems with nVidia drivers while playing. My video adapter is Zotac GeForce 9400 GT Super 512 mb. I have a Driver Installation CD with 182.06 video driver and an overclocking utility - Zotac FireStorm (R). I`ve installed them both and overclocked my video adapter to max settings. While playing my favorite games (Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Fallout 3) video driver have crashed with a system message saying something like this: "Your nVidia 182.06 video core driver have crashed and succesfully restarted". Then I`ve uninstalled this driver and overclocking utility. After this I`ve downloaded and installed driver v. 192, but the situation was the same. Before installing Windows 7 I was using Windows Vista and it wasn`t any problems with video drivers at all. But Zotac FireStorm didn`t work too (I don`t know why!?). I think that problem is in my video card which can be uncompatible with Windows 7. How can I solve this problem? Â

XP And 7 Install Issues (Won't Boot Into Win 7 Install)
I have XP SP2 installed. I used EASEUS Partition Master to split my drive in half, one half being XP, the other half being a future install of Windows 7. Put DVD in, selected the blank partition, began the install. Once it gets to the first reboot, it will reboot and go straight into XP. There is no option to choose Windows 7. The XP boot.ini has only one entry for XP. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking I need to add an entry for Windows 7, but have no clue what to put and I'm also guessing I'd have to add a few special tags because it's booting into the setup process of Win 7.

After Nvidia Driver Install, Get 'windows Not Genuine'
i was trying to get drivers for my printer. After restart, screen went black. I restarted in safe mode with netwking to find out what to do. So I eventually found out my graphics card had no driver; it had a generic vga adapter. So I search for my graphics card to find it is an Nvidia GeForce fx 5200 and I get the drivers for it. I restart in normal mode: no success. restart in safe' with net' . starts and am notified that drivers have installed. Now on next restart in normal mode, application error 0xc150002...press ok. Then i get a message in the bottom right hand corner that says 'windows is not genuine build 7600'. I have seen how to change it with/without cmd, but either requires normal mode. So how do I re enter my product key?

All Programs Won't Display And Speech Recognition Won't Start
My speech recogntiion won't start. I don't have a system restore that far back, but it hasn't been working since 3, maybe 4 updates back and I am now just getting around to it, since I have had other concerns lately. The error I get is "Speech recognition could not start because the language configuration is not supported. The recognizer language must match the language of the user interface. Please change the recognizer language in the Speech Recognition control panel under Advanced Options." I go there and press certain buttons and I sometimes get the error message "The requested task can not be carried out because the neccesary engine can not be created. Please select a different engine and/or audio device." I have tried changing the laguage and then restarting and it still won't work. I am using the same mic I was using before when it worked. I have not installed any new sound drivers when it stopped although I have looked for the sound drivers since and there are no new ones. I also had two other problems after the same Windows 7 update with the All Programs not displaying in the Start Menu, but I have dont a temporary fix with that, but it is still not working the way it is supposed to as I had to make a new sub folder in the Programs folder and change the location to that folder every time I start up Windows and so now I go into All Programs and then a second folder, which is ok for now, gonna write a batch file to do it for me anyway. The other problem is that my sidebar wouldn't start, but I think I fixed that last night. As my gadgets are now working.
