How Do I Upgrade From 7000 ?
Mar 28, 2009I installed Win 7 x64 on a new computer, on the last day the beta of 7000 was available. I have Windows Updates turned on, so I thought I'd be notified of beta updates, but I just checked, and I'm still on 7000.
How/where do I download updates?
And can I install them over 7000? I assume so, since I've found messages detailing which drivers needed updating after installing 7048 etc., but I do want to be sure.
This is my first post to the forum - apologies if I've asked a question that's in the archive. I did search, but didn't come up with anything. Are there FAQs anywhere?
Errors For Build 7000
Feb 7, 2009Ok, I have a Dell Dimension E521, so far here is the recent errors that i took by screenshots. This is the error i get everytime, when trying to start yahooIM. Which I may call it yahooIM error start up b/c its in my way. Ok here i go into registry mechanic, scanning my pc and so.

It can't be repaired.
So, the serious one i'm in trouble about... which is a burning one... idk if this a real virus or not b/c my CA Anti-Virus picked it up, and my PC Tools don't see anything in it.
But i'm really concern about this, and It has something to do with my computer...
please...reply and or fix or something about this ASAP b/c if i accidently delete it, it either going to disable my pc features or something. Also it say I can't delete it... O.o

Nov 9, 2009To make long story short, I need to buy this old ATI Radeon 7000 but I want to make sure that this card is supported by windows 7.
I search for official driver from AMD but seems they no longer support it but I found the driver for windows 7 on the net. ATI Radeon 7000 drivers. Can someone please confirm it works with Windows 7?

Font Folder Says It Contains 7000, But There Is Only 100
Aug 24, 2012I installed 10,000 fonts and it was definitely not the best idea (I suggest not to do this) since it impacted the performance of my Laptop significantly, during start up as well as programs. After removing the fonts from registry and the Font Folder, the startup and performance is almost up to speed but not as it used to be. So I am wondering, what needs to be done to bring my computer at its optimal again? I used Ccleaner, Disk Clean Up. I think the issue lies in the fact that my Font folder says it has 7,000 fonts in there when clearly there isn't.how to make it display properly and my computer back up to speed? I think it's possible there are more fonts stored somewhere which is making the display going haywire.It's unfortunate that after uninstalling the fonts, perhaps my programs are loading up and running slower than usual.

Problem: Windows recognizes this printer and lists it as 'unspecified device'. Attempts to load a printer driver which worked in XP X64 is unsuccessful as also is when I tried to load/find its driver through device manage>listed printer>search through Internet. HP says NO PLAN to support driver for this printer for x64.
I hate to discard an old but working printer. Any suggestions?

Dec 28, 2008There has, so far, been no issues with drivers for 7000 for the Acer 5920gmi that I use. To disable my touchpad I installed the Synaptics driver just to disable the touchpad.
All drivers installed during installation and on first update the rest were installed.

There is no Vista or windows 7 driver available so I have tried running the XP driver in compatibility mode but I don't think it likes the 64 bit OS.

BSOD Upgrading From 7000 X86 To 7048 X86
Mar 9, 2009I started the upgrade and left the computer installing...
When I came back I saw a BSOD (0x0000007b (0x80786b68), 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).
I restarted and saw 2 options (Windows SETUP and Windows 7).
Computer gone to Windows Setup again and showed BSOD again. So I restarted and got Windows 7 7000 again... (no changes made). I received a message saying that the upgrade couldn't be made and my original version was restored or something else...
I have no idea about the reason of the BSOD. Never had problems with 7000.
OK To Upgrade Build 7000 To 7057 ?

Feb 3, 2010I just built a new computer running Windows 7 64-bit and I’m loving it. However, I have one problem that I just cannot seem to fix. I have two printers - HP Deskjet 5550 and an HP Officejet 6210, both of which I cannot print to.
When I send a job to be printed from ANY program (IE, Word, notepad, etc), the job in the print queue immediately says 'Error-Printing". When I run the printer troubleshooter it says there is a 'print job in the queue that is preventing the printer from working' and the troubleshooter will restart the print job which doesn't fix anything.
If I go into the Event Log I can see that windows is logging Print errors. Please click here to view the error:

Basically, the error says Spooler Operation Failed with Event ID #372. Searching for this error and event ID on the web has yielded no viable solutions.
Here's what I've done so far to try and fix this problem:
Uninstalled printer/reinstalled
Stopped and restarted spool service
Made sure spooling was set to AUTOMATIC (and it was)
Tried alternate printer drivers (from different printers)
I am running a fully updated Kaspersky Anti-virus so I've ruled out the possibility of a virus.... although I guess this might still be the problem?
To me it seems like something in the /windows/system32/spool folder is corrupt but I don't know where to begin fixing it. I guess I could delete the whole directory and copy the .../spool folder from my laptop running windows 7 but I don't want to risk messing up my otherwise perfectly running machine.

Mar 20, 2009I tried installing the upgrade build 7057 over 7000 (x86) and it seemed to work fine. But then Windows 7 boots into the message "preparing your desktop for first use". It follows the message "Setup will continue after restarting your computer" and after ca. 1 Minute it restarts and does exactly the same. I tried that for about 5 times and it keeps doing that. No error messages.
Did anybody have this problem as well? Any ideas for troubleshooting?
Addition: I have just seen that people have problems with Norton 360, which I have installed, too. Maybe I can boot into safemode and remove Norton - I will try this tonight and report.
Windows Error Id 7000 When Starting Computer
Jul 12, 2012Recently I noticed an error occurring each time I start my computer and how to correct it? The error is Event ID 7000. It says that "The ASInsHelp service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified. When I search on my computer for anything with "ASInsHelp" in the title it takes me to an application extension file in a folder under Asus called PC Prove II. PC probe II is a program I tried to install but was unable to due so because my mobo did not support it.
Would uninstalling Asus Suite solve this error?
Resolution Revert Takes 7000 Seconds?
Feb 20, 2013I've got a strange one here. I work for a small IT business that builds PC's for home consumer use. We have a standard computer build that we make and sell that performs fine. (Win 7 64 bit Pro,asus f1a55-m lx plus r2.0 mobo, AMD a8-5600k proc, Radeon HD 6000 onboard video).
We've built hundreds identical to this, but this morning I came across one that had a peculiar problem. Any time you go to change the monitor's resolution (on any monitor), the timer for it to revert back if it goes out of range is set at 7000 seconds (as opposed to the standard 30). I've never before come across something like this. I looked through every configuration setting known, and exhausted my google resources as well. I can't find anything at all on this subject.
