I have installed build 7000 and it has been working pretty good for the last week.
Now my usb drives and sticks stopped working. OS will see the drives, but cannot access them. It shows drive as raw data, when I plug it in on XP or Vista the drive works fine. What could cause this??
Ok, I have a Dell Dimension E521, so far here is the recent errors that i took by screenshots. This is the error i get everytime, when trying to start yahooIM. Which I may call it yahooIM error start up b/c its in my way. Ok here i go into registry mechanic, scanning my pc and so.

So, the serious one i'm in trouble about... which is a burning one... idk if this a real virus or not b/c my CA Anti-Virus picked it up, and my PC Tools don't see anything in it.
But i'm really concern about this, and It has something to do with my computer...
please...reply and or fix or something about this ASAP b/c if i accidently delete it, it either going to disable my pc features or something. Also it say I can't delete it... O.o
There has, so far, been no issues with drivers for 7000 for the Acer 5920gmi that I use. To disable my touchpad I installed the Synaptics driver just to disable the touchpad.
All drivers installed during installation and on first update the rest were installed.
Is this okay? Has anyone done this? I read some problems in general when upgrading one version of Windows 7 to another, but is this common?

reboot the system moves so slow i had to uninstall
it.didn't have no trouble with the last 3 builds.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been having random graphical issues. Sometimes in games (ie. COD4) the screen goes black when a new map loads. I then have to exit the game and reboot the PC, hoping it fixes my issue. Also, since I updated to the latest version, there are random graphical glitches in the game (weird objects on the ground and in the air in the game). Now the issue is much worse:
When I boot up my PC, my taskbar is completely blank, except for the Start Button. I'd be willing to deal with this issue if I knew how to fix it when it pops up. anyone else have this problem where their laptops touchpad is not working with the 7000 build of windows 7. its a toshiba laptop. i tried to install the touchpad driver for it, and it shows that the device is working properly through the device manager, but nothing happens. ive tried turning the touchpad on and off and it still does nothing. the mouse worked perfectly fine when i had xp installed on it, but once i changed to windows 7, it just stopped working.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R mobo with 2 WD 2terabyte bBlack Sata drives and Windows 7. My primary drive is a Corsair 80 gb SSD. My system has been runnig for about a year with no issues until 2 days ago when I tried to boot up and one of my WD drives would not show up in windows (computer). I reformatted the drive (lost all of my data and when I booted up the other WD was showing up in the post but not in Windows (computer). But in Disk Management as Unallocated.
I was using that drive as my storage (set-up programs, pictures, music, documents; you get the drift) and backup drive.
I don't know if my connections are wrong or if my configuation in Bios is incorrect or what. Can anyone point me in the "general" direction or do you know if WD has a service center in the Colorado Springs, CO area.
Recently my computer has been force closing applications like Photoshop and Windows Explorer. It usually happens when I right click in Explorer or try to open anything in Photoshop. i've got 2 extra 1TB Seagate drive:[URL]I use these to make backups of my 3 hard drives (1 x SSD, 1 hybrid, and 1 SATA). I brought this new machine back in April, and it was working fine up until then. However, after trying to install some software (which didn't wanna install in the end anyway, due to it being rubbish!), I can now no longer see these drives on my PC The weird part too - is that my Win7 laptop has exactly the same issue ... but my brothers Vista laptop, and Win7 PC see them just fine!To start with I was thinking the drive had gone faulty (as it wasn't working on both my machines), but after testing it on my brothers stuff it prooved they are both working fine The USB's I'm using to connect it to are fine (They work for USB sticks and other USB kit) ... so I'm at a bit of a loss as to what it could be? The even weirder thing - is that my brothers 500gb external drive (can't remember what make that was, but its not Seagate) works just fine!Its driving me up the wall as I can't do my daily backups (I'm a software developer, so having a current backup of my PC incase of a fatal mess up with my system is vital for me)
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy laptop, running Windows 7, suddenly started giving me an error message with code 10, and says "You need to format the disk before you can use it, do you want to format now", every time I insert a thumb drive or an SD ram card. When I go into disk management it shows that they are both "raw"n but when I insert them into my desktop running XP they read fine and disk management shows them as fat32. Why would Windows 7 suddenly start reading the fat32 thumb drives and SD ram cards as Raw? How can I get it to read them, as they read fine on other computers? I also have an external cdrom/dvd drive (because Windows 7 won't recognise the internal cdrom either), and also have an external hard drive that work fine.

For nearly half of the .exe files I attempt to open, I get this stupid "---.exe has stopped working" (where --- represents the name of the file). The files I'm trying to open are not video game files, but rather program files.I am currently working on a 64-bit system. I have only had this machine for 2.5 weeks.

So, for example, in Outlook where I can normally click a link within an email to go to the web page, I now can't (affecting all emails). I'm hoping fr soem input on a recent issue that I've started to encounter where Windows 7 'freezes' and my only option is a 'hard reset' via held power button and restart.This has only started happening in the last week or so, and seems to only (and nearly always) happen after I've shut down a game (one of several) running via Steam.The games themselves will work fine, but after I come back out to desktop/Steam then Windows will stop to respond after a couple of instructions. Ctrl-Alt-Delete will fail to bring up the Task Manager screen etc.

My network admin tried to reset my password and even created a new user for me. Inexplicably a new problem arose. Clicking icons on the desktop or the start menu stopped working. I found that opening the file location and clicking the .exe did work.The problem remained when logging in as the local administrator.I found that the problem occurs on all .LNK files.System Restore to a month ago had no effect. Am I mistaken in believing that this proves that the problem isn't in the registry? I did a full disk virus check using the ESET a/v software on the computer as well as with MalwareBytes. No effect.
