Problem: Windows recognizes this printer and lists it as 'unspecified device'. Attempts to load a printer driver which worked in XP X64 is unsuccessful as also is when I tried to load/find its driver through device manage>listed printer>search through Internet. HP says NO PLAN to support driver for this printer for x64.
I hate to discard an old but working printer. Any suggestions?
I have an HPTouch laptop and I'm trying to connect to my HP 4200 printer thru my desktop PC.I am using the laptop via wireless and can see the drives on the desktop PC but cannot print. The laptop cannot find the printer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Macbook Pro that I just loaded a clean install of Windows 7 home 64 bit using bootcamp. I also have a canon printer. I loaded the printer's software in Windows, using a USB cable connected directly to the computer. The printer prints fine. But normally I have the printer connected to an Apple Airport Express wireless network, which prints fine from the Mac side of the computer. Windows see's the Airport Express wireless network and it connects to it fine. But when in Windows and I try to print a document, it can't see the printer. The printer says it is offline. How do I make Windows locate the printer?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter my computer stopped being able to print to my printer wirelessly (the printer isn't a wireless printer, but is wired to a wireless print server), I deleted the printer and tried to reinstall via the Add Printer Wizard. The printer wizard sees the printer on the network, but when I select it to install, it can't find the TCP/IP port and installation fails. How can this be?
I *can* print from this computer to the printer when connected directly via USB, and other computers can print to that printer wirelessly.
Can't get the driver to work on Windows 7. Anyone have suggestion on how to do this.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI currently have a printer connected to a computer in my room (Canon Pixma iP4300 [USB]). I also have a computer in the office which is connected to the network via a wireless extender. I am a little short of space in my room and am looking at which peripherals I can move away without too much hassle - the printer is one such thing which has a relatively large footprint and would ideally be located in the office.I am fairly confident that with a little research I could set up the printer to be shared from the office PC (Vista Home Premium x32) to other computers on the network, which would be a more suitable location for it.However, one thing that occurs to me is that it would require the office PC to be on in oder for other machines to print. Currently the office PC is set to go to sleep after a period of inactivity [20~30 minutes]. My question is, would it be possible for other computers on the network to wake this machine in order to use the printer connected to it?

I have found the reverse but have yet to find this exact problem. My computer, running Windows 7 64 bit, will recognize the printer but won't let it connect to the printer. The network drive is not even seen. Both the printer and the network drive is hosted on a computer using Windows XP 32 bit.

Both systems File and Printer sharing is turned on in the advance sharing settings for both computers and I can share files OK. I have also allow Print permissions in the Security tab under the networked printer properties. However the spooled document print when I restart the Host computer?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI installed the windows 7 on a partitioned drive. And the Os works alright but i get these random and lately consistent error that when I run the OS, My monitor does not displaying anything after the windows logo startup. Its a black screen, the monitor displays information in safe mode but not in regular mode. If I go back to windows vista everything runs fine. I need to restart the OS constantly before it finally displays the windows bar etc etc.
My graphics driver is Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT, My monitor is acer P223w.
My resolution is 1680 X 1050.
I have installed latest windows 7 update also on the driver.
I have noticed one thing that windows 7 gives me an option. To display images on two monitors but I only have one installed. So i think that might actually be the problem on boots. So i modified the setting.
