i have an acer aspire 7745 laptop and when i use the usb connections my computer does nothing it doesnt recongise that any device has been plugged in. troubled shoot installed new drivers and check devices everything says its fine?

And I went back through older logs of when the same thing would happen, and those two were the ones that popped up the most. However, this also popped up from time to time:
Name resolution for the name www.microsoft.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.
Name resolution for the name www.australian-charts.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.
Now, I know my way around a computer, but this internet talk is pure "gibberish" to me, for lack of a better word.
Additional information: The connection to my router is wired, not wireless. My PS3 and my laptop can stay connected/have never dropped a connection, while my desktop does it enough that it's beginning to bother me.
My usb ports are not recognising any devices. I have to delete my usb drivers completely and reinstall them and then the usb device only works 1 time.

It was fixed and everything was working fine until last night when the problem returned. Anyhow, I always use iTunes and backup/load songs from it to my iPhone 4 and 2nd gen iPod.About a week ago is when I last was able to connect my iPod to itunes and load new songs. However now my computer no longer recognizes my iPod. I thought it was iTunes at fault but my computer still recognizes my iPhone no problem (with the same cord) and my computer also recognizes my gps watch with its own separate cord.I've tried restarting my computer, unplugging it, using both USB ports but to no avail.The ipod charges when plugged in to the computer but it just isn't being recognized (there are no removable storage devices showing in my computer either).I opened device manager and it shows 2x Generic USB Hub, 2x Intel 6 Series...Hos Controller, 2x USB Root Hub, 1x USB Mass Storage Device. When I go to properties > details > hardware ids of the USB Mass Storage Device it shows USBVID_0BDA&PID_158 and also USBVID_0BDA&PID_158&REV_5888.

I normally have the computer plugged into an ethernet channel, but today I moved it into a different room for work and it cannot connect wirelessly to the internet. In fact, it does not give me that as an option at all! My problem is that even though my HDMI cable's plugged into my Radeon graphics card, sometimes the PC only recognizes the Acer monitor and not the receiver (that's connected to the HDMI cable and my HDTV). So I end up having to plug and unplug the HDMI cable several times (sometimes 10+) before it recognizes the HDTV/receiver connection. Is there any setting that would favor the card/PC recognizing the HDMI cable more frequently? I've heard it's a handshake issue, and that maybe using a different type of cable would work. But wondering if there's a setting I could use before switching out cables.
I have an Asus X58 motherboard, a pair of ATI 5850 video cards, and a pair of monitors running DVI into the primary 5850 (extended desktop). When I am not running crossfire, my device manager sees 2 5850 cards as does the catalyst control center. I can select "enable crossfire" from the control center; however, when I did that my computer became unresponsive and I had to reboot. When I reboot the computer and click on the performance tab of the catalyst control center, the only option is "AMD Overdrive", the crossfire option is no longer there. The device manager only sees one card. The only way I can get my computer to recognize both cards again is to remove the Xfire cable from the 2 video cards.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the wireless adapter working fine, well it was working fine. The strength of the connection was only 2 bars for some reason as of late. I have other computers and they're all fine. So I assume maybe I can fix it by installing the drivers for it. The moment I install it the computer stops recognizing that I even have the wireless card hooked into my mother board! Did the driver installation break it? Because even it when it was supposedly done installing it claimed that I needed to actually plug the thing in! Even though it was working fine a minute ago. I've tried running the program but it wont even acknowledge my clicking. I tried unplugging and plugging the hardware in and that didn't work, I even changed its slots. I don't know what to do short of just reloading windows on it and skipping every using the driver cd.

The Device ID is different when I check on all my registered devices (the only device that uses my account is my one computer). I don't remember making any changes however, I just became unable to connect.I having done a little troubleshooting.1. I can connect to the shares of my Windows Home Server if I use the IP address. The name does not resolve.2. Flushed DNS and restarting DNS server. Flushing DNS works on one client, to allow browsing by the name & restarting DNS works on the other. However neither works after a restart.3. Only my Wifi clients are experiencing this issue. View 22 Replies View RelatedI've been having this problem since I bought this new computer a few weeks ago. It's a HP desktop, the model number is s5229uk and it's Windows 7 Home Premium.
At random times when I'm browsing the internet, sometimes it can be every 10/15 minutes, sometimes just a few times a day it will stop loading and a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark will appear on the connection icon in the bottom right hand corner.
I cannot troubleshoot the problems or open up the network and sharing centre because it either doesn't load at all or freezes, and the only way to reconnect is to hold down the power button as shutting down or restarting fails after about 20 minutes of the shutting down screen.
It's more annoying than anything. I've checked for viruses but nothing came up and the one time it's let me troubleshoot, it's told me to reset the router which I did and it didn't work. I thought it might be a compatibility issue with the router (we use Sky) but some days it works for longer than others.
On the Norton internet history for firewalls and connections I found this which I think might have something to do with it. Does anyone have any ideas how to stop the internet from cutting off because me and my Dad are at a loss, and he's quite good at computers.
Another thing is that it won't let me create a system image by backing it up onto an external hard drive, it gets to a certain point and gives me this message: 'The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002) I've tried again and it still doesn't work.
