Jun 13, 2011i can load my gmail but not my yahoo. also, pls advise how can i merge contact list that i imported from my old outlook to my new main contact list.

I have tried to set up a pop email in outlook 2010, but I did it wrong, so I deleted it and started again, but instead of creating a new one it called it (2) not just the normal name. I have gone through the process and it says it works, but theres nothing coming into my inbox, and what I think is happening is that its going to the original inbox of the one that I named wrongly.

Jan 12, 2012I just set up Microsoft 2010 this week and was configuring Outlook 2010. After everything was done, I found that every time I send an email, a copy of it is automatically sent to my inbox. This would normally be fixable by applying a rule (every email I send to my own account be automatically deleted or something to that extent), but this email account is for the entire company, and they are still being forwarded the copies that I send.
Would this issue have anything to do with me using 2010 and my co-workers using 2007? Or maybe because we're using gmail, which hasn't been confirmed to work with Outlook 2010?

Jan 23, 2012I am trying to migrate all my settings and emails (Outlook 2010)from One computer to another but I am having difficulty accomplishing my task One PC is running Windows XP 32 bit and I am trying to migrate my settings to the new one running Windows 7 64 bit, which should not be a problem, right? I would not ask for help if it was only 1 email account but I am running 3 email account from Outlook and I can't remember the settings of 2 of them as it is... it has been a while Office 2010 backup method suck from here to the Moon since you may be able to export your Data but NOT the settings. 1st thing I tried was Backrex Demo, it did its job on the XP side of things but on the Win 7 side it tells me that it does not find my outlook even though it is installed. Heck, I even installed the one I do remember but to no avail... Backrex told there was no Outlook installed.

Oct 4, 2010i unable to signin my yahoo messenger, skype and even cannot load to yahoo mail website. but i still can surf other website normally. i noticed that some of the page that required password are unable to load. the will be an error that ask to check the intrnet conection. im using LAN connection. i tried to login yahoo mail, and signin skype and ym by using my friends pc in my home and i can login/singin without any trouble. we using the same internet connction.i already reformat my laptop cause i thought there is laptop problem. but there is still no luck. same problem still occur. i scaned my lappy with updated antvrus (btdefender) but no virus detected. i also tried unable the firewall in my system but no changed.

Dec 14, 2012A couple of days ago i noticed that when i log into yahoo.com and enter my username and password the URL automatically goes to us.mg4.mail.yahoo.com. I had entered the proxy address a few times and have read on the web that this is server address. I've been trying to create a Task in Outlook from a Word Document that I have created on this computer. The idea is that a shortcut to the document is created as an Outlook Task. Click on the shortcut, and voila - there is the document.The "Create Microsoft Office Task" icon DOES send the document to Outlook as a Shortcut in a Task, however, when I open the task, Outlook says:"Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachments: Shortcut to 'document name'."It's NOT an unsafe attachment; Outlook WILL OPEN this document if I send it as an email attachment. Outlook will open .docx files types.
Outlook 2010 PST File Copying From 32bit To 64bit Office Outlook?
Dec 25, 2011I am trying to move one pst file from one laptop which has Outlook 2010 32 bit to another laptop which has Outlook 2010 64 bit installed, steps taken 1) Copied the pst file from the User/AppData/Microsoft/Outlook folder to usb. 2) Pasted the file from usb into User/Documents folder. 3) Tried to open the file in Outlook and I get the error that Outlook encountered errors while opening the file. Now how is that possible when the file is working perfectly in one laptop but when I copy and paste it into another it gets corrupted? Is it due to 32 bit to 64 bit outlook? I tried to repair it using scanpst and it brought back few mails?

Nov 28, 2011I have a new Dell Inspiron 14Z running windows 7 pro 64bit and i'm using Microsoft office 2010. I'm trying to retrieve archived emails that i backed up on an external hard drive from a previous computer, the files are .pst which is an outlook format but i keep on getting an error message saying the file is not an Outlook data file (.pst). i dont have any other way to retrieve these emails since they were deleted from the server and its about 1.5 years of work emails. Not sure what to do? should i move the files from the external driver to a different location on the computer and open them, or are they corrupted and need to be fixed?

Now, however, since I ditched the Firefox browser and downloaded IE 9.0 (which does seems to be much faster in every respect), when I copy a previously written e-mail and paste that message into a new e-mail, all the HTML with color text and everything is gone! It seems like IE doesn't like to be copied in Yahoo Mail. It's a "bear" for me, for in my business it's necessary for me to write a letter using the same information I had typed previousy, and it's been a tremendous time saver to just copy and paste it. Now, I can't. Has anyone else experienced this same problem ???

May 13, 2011I do not have the new laptop on, it is an expensive paper weight at the moment. None of my XP software works. I loaded MS XP Mode, I was able to load Office 2000, neither Outlook or outlook express work and I dispise MS Mail and all web based mail. None of my CAD programs worked in XP mode. Note: Acer does not have the hardware support. I removed MS XP Mode. Loaded VMware Player with XP Pro,loaded all my programs, copied my old HDD to new files in virtual machine. Setup Office 2000 Outlook and outlook express work perfect as does all office 2000. Cad programs work (or so I thought) I wasted 3 hours designing a generator room in one of my cad programs and all was well till I tried to create a new file on the virtual drive and was unable to. Tried to save my drawing to any file, was not allowed.
Spent the rest of the day re-drawing the generator room on old laptop. Tried all of the things on setting up networking the drives and folders, was still unable to create new file folders or save any new cad files. There is nothing wrong with this old laptop, it is just 6 years old and found a great deal on the Acer. Tried to load XP on a new HDD, that failed (somewhat) after loading and looking at the properties, many drivers were not working. It seems all MFG's are looking to MS to develop their drivers.What else can I try to get XP Mode to work like XPI can not afford to upgrade all my programs and with that, none of my old files would be usable.I use several cad programs daily at the same time as I work on several projects at the same time, plus I do all my own quotes and PO's and send to vendors, plus receive in everything. I have to be able to create new files and save everything I do where I want toThis is also the first time I have used a new OS so soon. I usually give it a few years.I went from 95 2nd Ed to XP all was smooth. Stayed away from ME and Vista like the plague

Feb 3, 2013Problem #1 ... I deleted my Yahoo.com account and opened a new Yahoo att.net account, as a sub-account for AT&T. I changed password for the new account ... now when I clicked on my Yahoo acct. profile I was said "You are FORBIDDEN to access this page". What the Hell is going on? I was on online support chat with ATT yesterday, ge a pw in the sub-account, and I think after that I got that "Forbidden" message. I found out after I quit the session.Aghhh......Problem #2 - I can not log in Yahoo Messenger any more. I entered a new password and the same User ID (was not changed) but it's dead to me. Editing to say, I am not sure if these 2 problems are connected or not. Messenger says that Yahoo server is not responsive, or something like that, about the server.

I have IE8, Firefox's latest and Safari and none of these browsers will allow me to access my Yahoo email, except in "classic." I spent several hours on the phone with Sony (I have a Vaio and the Windows 7 upgrade was free), and they couldn't understand why this was happeneing in each of the browsers.
