I had to reconfigure my Yahoo mail du to a virus.
Now, i can access my mail, but not my options pages. Also, i need to re-enter my user name and password every 30 minutes
I tested all my yahoo mail options using it with another PC under XP, no problem at all.
So the problem reside in my pc running under Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 8. Somewhere, a security device prevent me to access these pages.
i unable to signin my yahoo messenger, skype and even cannot load to yahoo mail website. but i still can surf other website normally. i noticed that some of the page that required password are unable to load. the will be an error that ask to check the intrnet conection. im using LAN connection. i tried to login yahoo mail, and signin skype and ym by using my friends pc in my home and i can login/singin without any trouble. we using the same internet connction.i already reformat my laptop cause i thought there is laptop problem. but there is still no luck. same problem still occur. i scaned my lappy with updated antvrus (btdefender) but no virus detected. i also tried unable the firewall in my system but no changed.

I had entered the proxy address a few times and have read on the web that this is server address. View 1 Replies View RelatedI had had the Firefox browser and never had a problem copying and pasting a previously written e-mail in Yahoo Mail in a New Message. Now, however, since I ditched the Firefox browser and downloaded IE 9.0 (which does seems to be much faster in every respect), when I copy a previously written e-mail and paste that message into a new e-mail, all the HTML with color text and everything is gone! It seems like IE doesn't like to be copied in Yahoo Mail. It's a "bear" for me, for in my business it's necessary for me to write a letter using the same information I had typed previousy, and it's been a tremendous time saver to just copy and paste it. Now, I can't. Has anyone else experienced this same problem ???

I changed password for the new account ... now when I clicked on my Yahoo acct. profile I was said "You are FORBIDDEN to access this page". What the Hell is going on? I have IE8, Firefox's latest and Safari and none of these browsers will allow me to access my Yahoo email, except in "classic." I spent several hours on the phone with Sony (I have a Vaio and the Windows 7 upgrade was free), and they couldn't understand why this was happeneing in each of the browsers. I sent an email to Yahoo, but I haven't heard back from them. The tech I talked to at Sony said that quite a few people had called in with the Yahoo issue. Any thoughts?

A quick (I hope) minor problem with creating a shortcut to my Yahoo mail on the desktop.I can save this item in Favorites, but I am unable to get a result when I click "Send to Desktop".the option of "Sending" comes up if I Right Click on it, but there is never a shortcut there ??

The laptop was having already microsoft security essentials (MSE) and mcafee antivirus plus software. Unfortunately, yesterday i was facing blue screen on death type of error (BSOD) error. On one forum, I found that it may be due to the mcafee antivirus software. So, I uninstalled the software as per suggestion.Why MSE was not able to detect this bsod error? Moreover, why mcafee, which itself is a anti-virus software, was causing this issue?
Morever, I want to install good free antivirus software. I am totally confused whether should I install the antivirus software or, the internet security software. Please throw more light on good free internet security software from longer perspective. (I just found that almost all free trials are only for 1 month only)? Moreover, why built-in windows firewall and microsoft security essentials (MSE) are not enough for detecting malacious software. My Yahoo home page and related yahoo pages won't display ads, does anyone know how to fix this. I have uninstalled IE8 reinstalled it, restored advanced settings and reset internet explorer it worked for a short while after i did this now its playing up again.I get the usual diagnose internet connection and of course ther is nothing wrong with it. In the box that comes up it has more... "This web page contains content that will not be delivered using secure HTTPS connection, which could compromise the security of the entire page." Then it has three buttons to click on, "More Info", "Yes", "No" - This comes up time after time, page after page, didn't use to do this and I haven't downloaded any programs for security, or to use with/on the INTERNET.
