Yahoo mail keeps telling me my screen resolution is not set correctly when it is already set at its highest resolution which is 1366 x 768, which is higher than they recommend.

A couple of days ago i noticed that when i log into yahoo.com and enter my username and password the URL automatically goes to us.mg4.mail.yahoo.com. I had entered the proxy address a few times and have read on the web that this is server address. Can someone please let me know if this is normal or should i be concerned because i didn't change any of my yahoo settings.
Windows 7 installed without any problems, and found all the hardware devices, but the only problem I have is that the monitor will only dislplay at 1920x1080. If you lower it , the monitor will not display a full screen. Tried all resolutions, and have the latest 191 drivers. Any ideas..
I had had the Firefox browser and never had a problem copying and pasting a previously written e-mail in Yahoo Mail in a New Message. Now, however, since I ditched the Firefox browser and downloaded IE 9.0 (which does seems to be much faster in every respect), when I copy a previously written e-mail and paste that message into a new e-mail, all the HTML with color text and everything is gone! It seems like IE doesn't like to be copied in Yahoo Mail. It's a "bear" for me, for in my business it's necessary for me to write a letter using the same information I had typed previousy, and it's been a tremendous time saver to just copy and paste it. Now, I can't. Has anyone else experienced this same problem ???
Problem #1 ... I deleted my Yahoo.com account and opened a new Yahoo att.net account, as a sub-account for AT&T. I changed password for the new account ... now when I clicked on my Yahoo acct. profile I was said "You are FORBIDDEN to access this page". What the Hell is going on? I was on online support chat with ATT yesterday, ge a pw in the sub-account, and I think after that I got that "Forbidden" message. I found out after I quit the session.Aghhh......Problem #2 - I can not log in Yahoo Messenger any more. I entered a new password and the same User ID (was not changed) but it's dead to me. Editing to say, I am not sure if these 2 problems are connected or not. Messenger says that Yahoo server is not responsive, or something like that, about the server.
Has anyone else had the problem of not being able to access their email (random ones) or Yahoo! Mail's newest configuration after you upgraded to Windows 7?
I have IE8, Firefox's latest and Safari and none of these browsers will allow me to access my Yahoo email, except in "classic." I spent several hours on the phone with Sony (I have a Vaio and the Windows 7 upgrade was free), and they couldn't understand why this was happeneing in each of the browsers. I sent an email to Yahoo, but I haven't heard back from them. The tech I talked to at Sony said that quite a few people had called in with the Yahoo issue. Any thoughts?
I have a Yahoo mail acct that is receiving continuous spam. It properly goes to the spam folder, but I would like to block address. Protecting Yourself From Spam: Blocking Email Addresses | Yahoo Help
The above is directions from Yahoo on how to block spam. Problem is the spam email does not have an address that I can locate. It only has the body of the message (advertising).
A quick (I hope) minor problem with creating a shortcut to my Yahoo mail on the desktop.I can save this item in Favorites, but I am unable to get a result when I click "Send to Desktop".the option of "Sending" comes up if I Right Click on it, but there is never a shortcut there ??
This has never been a major problem but it gets annoying that I need to open Favorites to check my Yahoo mail.On my XP this has never been a problem, and it is always there, and operating, but I try this every week and get no result on the Win 7.
I am running Mozilla Firefox and after recently updating Firefox and plug ins, noticed my email screen has strikethroughs on all the tabs at the top of the screen above the inbox: delete, reply, forward, move, spam, actions. In addition the check boxes next to each individual email (for fast check off and delete) is missingTo the left of the Inbox are my folders and they also have strikethroughs on the Check mail, New, and go tabs. The email is functional, but the entire screen looks like its unfinished.
Just installed MS Office 2010 and set it up so I can use my Yahoo! email. The Drafts folder and the Sent Items folder aren't taking their contents over from Yahoo to Outlook.
My Yahoo home page and related yahoo pages won't display ads, does anyone know how to fix this. I have uninstalled IE8 reinstalled it, restored advanced settings and reset internet explorer it worked for a short while after i did this now its playing up again.I get the usual diagnose internet connection and of course ther is nothing wrong with it. I forgot to say its windows 7 pro I am running, I would update to IE9 but I hate it if only they kept the layout the same as IE8
i'm having some trouble with my screen resolution . i set it at (800x600) cause i'm using a 51 inch big screen hd tv. it go's full screen but then for no reason it puts the bars back on the sides of the screen. i checked and it still reads (800x600) and i can't get it to change back to full screen until i reboot. works fine in vista . i'm not seeing anything about drivers failing so i'm not sure what's happening.
My display has suddenly decided to reduce it's size and doesn't any longer stretch to fill the monitor screen. There is a black border of about 1.5cm all round the desktop display. Using Windows 7 on a Dell All-inOne.
for the past month i have had an issue where before the log in screen would show, it would be a blank screen with a cursor, that i could move. (It worked normal in safe mode) I normally would just ignore this problem and it seemed to go back to normal after a little while. Well yesterday it didn't go away, so i went online looking for a solution, in safe mode. I've read to disable/enable drivers, re-install drivers, just plenty of things. And the result of all this is that my screen resolution wont go back to normal, and there is a black border around my screen, around a half inch. Also, my computer has been running EXTREME slow lately.
I have recently been running my computer for really long periods and have only just turned it off last night. When I turned it on this morning it did a file corrupt scan which sometimes randomly happens. When windows fully loaded the screen resolution had been changed, almost to safe mode resolution.
So iI have tried changing the resolution (Normal is 1920x1080), with no luck. Even though it says it is on 1920x1080 (recommmended), I know for a fact that it's not actually that resolution. You can tell by this photo that the desktop is way to large for 1920x1080. Unfortunetly I do not have a photo of my original desktop resolution .I have installed the latest NVIDIA graphics driver, and it is the right driver for my card. Also checked all windows updates.
I have just purchased a 9600GT which is capable of a resolution of 2560x1600 but my monitor is only stated to be 1680-1050, My question is this, would it do my monitor any damage to force upon it the said 2560-1600?
i have used to connect to my pc (vista x64 Radeon 4670) through vnc that is connected to a fullhd tv via hdmi. When i shut down the tv nothing happened to the screen resolution when connected through vnc but now with Windows 7 x64.
when i turn off the tv the resolution changes to some lower and i cant use the whole 1920x1080 and after turning the tv on again it resizes to the full resolution but with icons on desktop without any order! Is there any way to Windows 7 not automatic change resolution when turning off the tv like in vista?
