View 2 Replies View RelatedA couple of days ago i noticed that when i log into yahoo.com and enter my username and password the URL automatically goes to us.mg4.mail.yahoo.com. I had entered the proxy address a few times and have read on the web that this is server address. View 3 Replies View RelatedOne big issue for me in Windows 7 after XP is that text in browser windows (like in IE9, Firefox and Thunderbird) lacks contrast - it's a pale grey rather than the black I had in the same apps in XP. Actually this text is pale grey as I type it.This seems to be "global" and no amount of fiddling in the apps themselves does any good. There was never any problem in XP.I'm using an Aero theme, but I've tried a basic theme and tried chaning the window colours manually.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust recently I've encountered the problem where I cannot see the text that I type in Yahoo IM and as wellas that it frequently closes down before I've had a chance to do anything saying that an error is preventing the program from working properly. I'm pretty dense when it comes to stuff like this and a quick search of the forum before posting found this: This can solve "can't see text in yahoo messenger"
Start -> run -> regedit -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion ->Internet Settings -> Zones then In zones part you must have 0,1,2,3,4 ,If not delete other ones(Don't delete 0,1,2,3,4)
I have Windows 7 and no matter if I am using Chrome or Internet Explorer, the color of the text that appears is so faint that it almost blends in with the background. Instead of black text, the text is like a gray color. It is so profoundly irritating I cannot stand it! It isnt like this on all websites. For instance, as I am typing this post. The text color is black and does not blend in with the white background. Although, it could have better resolution.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSuddenly when doing a search in Yahoo the display font of the results is not correct. It is not clear type. Everywhere else clear type works fine. Everywhere.
I have done system restore to a point I know it was working and that did not resolve it. I have disasbled and reenabled clear type text both in Windows and in IE8.
I did do all the Windows updates on Tuesday but I can't think how one of those would effect only Yahoo Search.
I recall this happening on my old system for one user and not another and we could never resolve it. It was summized that it was a corrupt profile but I can't understand how it would only effect Yahoo.
how I can get the Yahoo search results to have the proper font? therwise it's off to Google but I'd rather resolve this..
I had had the Firefox browser and never had a problem copying and pasting a previously written e-mail in Yahoo Mail in a New Message. Now, however, since I ditched the Firefox browser and downloaded IE 9.0 (which does seems to be much faster in every respect), when I copy a previously written e-mail and paste that message into a new e-mail, all the HTML with color text and everything is gone! It seems like IE doesn't like to be copied in Yahoo Mail. It's a "bear" for me, for in my business it's necessary for me to write a letter using the same information I had typed previousy, and it's been a tremendous time saver to just copy and paste it. Now, I can't. Has anyone else experienced this same problem ???

View 2 Replies View RelatedProblem #1 ... I deleted my Yahoo.com account and opened a new Yahoo att.net account, as a sub-account for AT&T. I changed password for the new account ... now when I clicked on my Yahoo acct. profile I was said "You are FORBIDDEN to access this page". What the Hell is going on? I was on online support chat with ATT yesterday, ge a pw in the sub-account, and I think after that I got that "Forbidden" message. I found out after I quit the session.Aghhh......Problem #2 - I can not log in Yahoo Messenger any more. I entered a new password and the same User ID (was not changed) but it's dead to me. Editing to say, I am not sure if these 2 problems are connected or not. Messenger says that Yahoo server is not responsive, or something like that, about the server.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else had the problem of not being able to access their email (random ones) or Yahoo! Mail's newest configuration after you upgraded to Windows 7?
I have IE8, Firefox's latest and Safari and none of these browsers will allow me to access my Yahoo email, except in "classic." I spent several hours on the phone with Sony (I have a Vaio and the Windows 7 upgrade was free), and they couldn't understand why this was happeneing in each of the browsers. I sent an email to Yahoo, but I haven't heard back from them. The tech I talked to at Sony said that quite a few people had called in with the Yahoo issue. Any thoughts?
I have a Yahoo mail acct that is receiving continuous spam. It properly goes to the spam folder, but I would like to block address. Protecting Yourself From Spam: Blocking Email Addresses | Yahoo Help
The above is directions from Yahoo on how to block spam. Problem is the spam email does not have an address that I can locate. It only has the body of the message (advertising).
how this spam address can be blocked?
the cursor freezes in Yahoo when a message is being composed. MS tekky did a reinstall. No change.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had to reconfigure my Yahoo mail du to a virus.
Now, i can access my mail, but not my options pages. Also, i need to re-enter my user name and password every 30 minutes
I tested all my yahoo mail options using it with another PC under XP, no problem at all.
So the problem reside in my pc running under Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 8. Somewhere, a security device prevent me to access these pages.
Yahoo mail keeps telling me my screen resolution is not set correctly when it is already set at its highest resolution which is 1366 x 768, which is higher than they recommend.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOk this is wierd I have a client using Office 2007 pro and some of her docs that she recently updated and the problem is when she prints the docs text that she deleted is printing over the top of new text she inserted into the doc.
Now when you have said doc open in WORD the deleted text is not there in any view and does NOT show in "print preview".
I opened said doc with WORDPAD and the deleted text shows up at the bottom so its still in the word doc somewhere imbedded so it prints over the top of the actual text in the doc.
I have a project where I need to search a large amount of text files on my home PC. I recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7. My research indicated this feature was available in Windows 7.
If you do a search in Windows XP, you get a bunch of fields. You can pick to search for text INSIDE the particular sub folder structure.
I have found this feature in Windows 7, but it is different. I have tried using wild cards but it does not seem to work properly.
How do I insert my pictures inside the text or beside the text so it won't use so much space?
