Has anyone else had the problem of not being able to access their email (random ones) or Yahoo! Mail's newest configuration after you upgraded to Windows 7?
I have IE8, Firefox's latest and Safari and none of these browsers will allow me to access my Yahoo email, except in "classic." I spent several hours on the phone with Sony (I have a Vaio and the Windows 7 upgrade was free), and they couldn't understand why this was happeneing in each of the browsers. I sent an email to Yahoo, but I haven't heard back from them. The tech I talked to at Sony said that quite a few people had called in with the Yahoo issue. Any thoughts?
Problem #1 ... I deleted my Yahoo.com account and opened a new Yahoo att.net account, as a sub-account for AT&T. I changed password for the new account ... now when I clicked on my Yahoo acct. profile I was said "You are FORBIDDEN to access this page". What the Hell is going on? I was on online support chat with ATT yesterday, ge a pw in the sub-account, and I think after that I got that "Forbidden" message. I found out after I quit the session.Aghhh......Problem #2 - I can not log in Yahoo Messenger any more. I entered a new password and the same User ID (was not changed) but it's dead to me. Editing to say, I am not sure if these 2 problems are connected or not. Messenger says that Yahoo server is not responsive, or something like that, about the server.

A couple of days ago i noticed that when i log into yahoo.com and enter my username and password the URL automatically goes to us.mg4.mail.yahoo.com. I had entered the proxy address a few times and have read on the web that this is server address. Can someone please let me know if this is normal or should i be concerned because i didn't change any of my yahoo settings.
I had had the Firefox browser and never had a problem copying and pasting a previously written e-mail in Yahoo Mail in a New Message. Now, however, since I ditched the Firefox browser and downloaded IE 9.0 (which does seems to be much faster in every respect), when I copy a previously written e-mail and paste that message into a new e-mail, all the HTML with color text and everything is gone! It seems like IE doesn't like to be copied in Yahoo Mail. It's a "bear" for me, for in my business it's necessary for me to write a letter using the same information I had typed previousy, and it's been a tremendous time saver to just copy and paste it. Now, I can't. Has anyone else experienced this same problem ???
I have a Yahoo mail acct that is receiving continuous spam. It properly goes to the spam folder, but I would like to block address. Protecting Yourself From Spam: Blocking Email Addresses | Yahoo Help
The above is directions from Yahoo on how to block spam. Problem is the spam email does not have an address that I can locate. It only has the body of the message (advertising).
Yahoo mail keeps telling me my screen resolution is not set correctly when it is already set at its highest resolution which is 1366 x 768, which is higher than they recommend.

A quick (I hope) minor problem with creating a shortcut to my Yahoo mail on the desktop.I can save this item in Favorites, but I am unable to get a result when I click "Send to Desktop".the option of "Sending" comes up if I Right Click on it, but there is never a shortcut there ??
This has never been a major problem but it gets annoying that I need to open Favorites to check my Yahoo mail.On my XP this has never been a problem, and it is always there, and operating, but I try this every week and get no result on the Win 7.
I am running Mozilla Firefox and after recently updating Firefox and plug ins, noticed my email screen has strikethroughs on all the tabs at the top of the screen above the inbox: delete, reply, forward, move, spam, actions. In addition the check boxes next to each individual email (for fast check off and delete) is missingTo the left of the Inbox are my folders and they also have strikethroughs on the Check mail, New, and go tabs. The email is functional, but the entire screen looks like its unfinished.
Just installed MS Office 2010 and set it up so I can use my Yahoo! email. The Drafts folder and the Sent Items folder aren't taking their contents over from Yahoo to Outlook.
My Yahoo home page and related yahoo pages won't display ads, does anyone know how to fix this. I have uninstalled IE8 reinstalled it, restored advanced settings and reset internet explorer it worked for a short while after i did this now its playing up again.I get the usual diagnose internet connection and of course ther is nothing wrong with it. I forgot to say its windows 7 pro I am running, I would update to IE9 but I hate it if only they kept the layout the same as IE8
Today my boss got her new laptop from IBUYPOWER (Gaming Computers and Gaming Notebooks - Buy a new Gaming PC - iBUYPOWER). When I checked the package contents it included a slip of paper that has the Microsoft labeling with Windows 7/Windows Vista product key on it. When me and her chose the laptop we opted for the $25 dollar mail-in-rebate for the upgrade. I don't know about you guys but I was VERY surprised and am a little hesitant to perform an upgrade with the RTM ISO and type in the key.
I had Windows Live Mail 2011 and had no problems. Then I upgraded to Windows live mail 2012 and that is when the problems started. All email comes in fineAll email sends fine as long as you only send out one contact. The problem lies in trying to send out a group contact. It does not go. when trying to send you get this error msg : imgur: the simple image sharer I did not realize this problem until i tried to send out a group contact In fact I put the program on 3 different machines that were upgrades- same problem Worse, I put this on 8 client computers who had windows live mail essentials 2011 prior and same problem.Once uninstalling 2012 and going back to 2011 (you can still get 2011) the group contacts went just fine
I have been a windows 7 os user and windows live mail user for a couple years. I got a new computer with windows 7 64 bit OS and installed windows live mail. On another laptop and pc the windows live mail has the quick access tool bar. On this installation I can't get the quick access tool bar to appear in windows live mail. I have done numerous internet searchs re: can't get quick access tool bar to appear in windows live mail but can't find anything that addresses that issue. I have done all kinds of right clicking on variousl menu bars and everyplace I can find to click, but still no option to show the quick access toolbar.
When I try to access my Windows Live Mail emails I am told 'Messages cannot be downloaded' or 'Messages cannot be found'.I have 13 emails I cannot access because 'Messaages Cannot BE Found.'.
Maybe is may mistake, without intention I click in some bad point, but sudenly I can't enter in links in mails of outlook express. Apear "" THIS OPERATION HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO RESTRICTIONS IN EFFECT IN THIS COMPUTER. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR""
I recently upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate and Win Live Mail, and this is where the problem lays. How can I get back the File:Edit:View:Tools etc. back to the top of the page? As part of the same problem, I also want to have access to the text facilities of, Bold:Underlined:Italics:Bold Underline etc., functions. I managed to find the latter when I click "New"(mail) and then the "Message" tab, but when the drop down tool bar appears all the functions that appear on the right side of this panel are grayed out and access is denied.
