I've been having this problem for a while and can't find an exact match for my problem doing a Google search. I'm assuming it's a Windows 7 problem, but I'm not sure.I copy some text from Word 2010 and paste it into my Yahoo email, but some older text is pasted and not what I just copied. I don't know what is causing this.
I am taking an online college course. When answering questions we were advised to first type our answers into micrsoft word and then copy and paste into the website. The school website only has basic spell check that is the reason for copy and pasting.I have Word 2010 and Windows 7.
I am trying to copy and paste a html to word 2007. My problem is part of the document is white letters on black back ground. I know how to change all the back ground. But only 3 paragraphs have a black back ground , the rest is white.
I have one internal drive with 1 TB. The data there is very important to me , so I bought External removable drive for backup. Now, I want to copy the data from one drive to the second drive but I have to be sure I have a perfect copy of the data. The data is mostly songs movies and documents. I'm using windows 7.
My question is this:
1.If I'll transfer the data through windows 7 by copy and paste, I could be sure i have a perfect copy? 2.There are tools for comparison Between the original data to the data that was copied?
I've been trying to create a Task in Outlook from a Word Document that I have created on this computer. The idea is that a shortcut to the document is created as an Outlook Task. Click on the shortcut, and voila - there is the document. The "Create Microsoft Office Task" icon DOES send the document to Outlook as a Shortcut in a Task, however, when I open the task, Outlook says:"Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachments: Shortcut to 'document name'."It's NOT an unsafe attachment; Outlook WILL OPEN this document if I send it as an email attachment. Outlook will open .docx files types.
I normally use Word 2003 for documents, although I use Outlook 2010. This morning I opened a Word 2010 document and after quite a while of some sort of an installation, I was able to open the Word 2010 document. I did not think too much of it, except that later I was sending an e-mail and attached a Word 2003 document and when I went to check it (i.e. open it up) it opened in Word 2010. How do I disable Word 2010 as my default program to open Word documents. I do not want to uninstall the program, but at this point I am not ready to learn how to use Word 2010.
I have Windows 10 and originally I had a paste options menu popping up each time I pasted so I could decide which format to use. Now the only option I am ever given is Keep Text only. I have tried resetting the default paste settings, but this makes no difference whatsoever. It makes no difference whether I select Paste on the screen or use Control + v on the keyboard. It makes editing documents so much more time consuming.
I had had the Firefox browser and never had a problem copying and pasting a previously written e-mail in Yahoo Mail in a New Message. Now, however, since I ditched the Firefox browser and downloaded IE 9.0 (which does seems to be much faster in every respect), when I copy a previously written e-mail and paste that message into a new e-mail, all the HTML with color text and everything is gone! It seems like IE doesn't like to be copied in Yahoo Mail. It's a "bear" for me, for in my business it's necessary for me to write a letter using the same information I had typed previousy, and it's been a tremendous time saver to just copy and paste it. Now, I can't. Has anyone else experienced this same problem ???
I've got a dell ispiron n5110 lap top , win7 home premium, 640 hard drive, 6gigs ram and I can't get it to copy and paste. Is there something I have to turn on or activate or download? I'm in the dark.
One of our employees is unable to copy/paste from our terminal server in Europe to her local machine anymore, and I'm trying to figure out the problem. I've already made sure that the Clipboard is checked in the RDP connection properties. I tried connecting as her on my machine, and the same thing happens. If I log out and then reconnect as me, copy/paste works. Should I have the remote admin take a look at his policy?
Alright just within the past week Ive been having trouble copying & pasting. (I've also tried ctrl c & ctrl v). It does work if I keep at it and try it several times. It never seems to work the first try I have to copy something like 10+ times, then the paste will work.
If I copy-paste some folders and files, there are just sooo many confirmation-dialogs for overwriting files and folders. This makes me nuts as I have to do loads of this each day.In the glorious days of XP there was just the simple:"do you want to overwrite this?"[yes] [no]So with only one click for confirmation. Now it is often 6 click for exactly the same task. #fail..How to get windows 7 to use a single confirmation dialog for this?
Periodically, for reasons I cannot figure out and for which I have found no solution, my copy/paste ceases to function. Nothing I do seems to fix it, deleting cache, etc. So eventually, out of frustration I give up but it interrupts my productivity of course. Some time later in the future I find it is working again but i do not know how/why it starts or stops and it is most vexing and inconvenient.
It seems to happen periodically whether I am using my Windows 7 or my Mac Snow Leopard? I right click, select copy right click again select paste and ZIP, NADA? I will be forever grateful or at least for a very long time!
Have been having problems within Windows 7 trying to copy and pate. However, I have found a solution. If you are copying from the web to Microsoft Word:1. Open a NEW word document2. Click on Edit in the Menu(You will see that the copy and past options are NOT availableSO3. Type the date4. Now click on edit and you will see that the paste and Paste Special options are now available.. Go to the data which you want to copy and past6. Highlight the information you want to copy and paste7. Click "copy"8. Go back to the NEW word document you previously opened9. Now click pasteIT WOULD APPEAR THAT A NEW WORD DOCUMENT THAT HASEN'T GOT ANY DATA IN IT IS NOT ABLE TO COPY AND PASTE.BY SIMPLY PUTING THE DATE IN THE NEW DOCUMENT, YOU HAVE MADE IT "LIVE" AND THEREFORE IT CAN NOW PERFORM THE COPY AND PASTE FUNCTION.It's taken me some time to fathom this one out but (as an ex IT Lecturer) I was determined to solve the problem.
I play on ISketch and want to put up an icon that I accidentally deleted.I have had it up there for over a year and do remember it took me a long time to get it up but cant remember how I did it. I can copy but when it comes to Ctrl V it just types a v, thats left click.Right click is Restart, Pause, Play,Fastforward etc.
I am unable to copy and paste with Windows 7. I am aware that I cannot post into c: , but believe I should be able to place my files anywhere else I want! At present, the only way I can put something where I want it is to copy it anot an USB dongle, and then drag it back to where I really want it.This doesn't always work, either. I suspect it may be something to do with the 'orrible UAC?
In our company i made a securities that the employee could na install any apps etc... this is my setup... i go to group policy editor then user configuration/administrative template/system/run only specified windows application.I enable the run only specified windows application with the apps that i want to run in that computer.

I'm wondering if there is a solution to this problem in IE8.I have a user who accesses a bill payment website system, she then wants to copy and paste the text conformation for record purposes. This use to work find until the user pc was upgraded to Win7 and IE8. We have tried several options with settings and nothing has worked so far. I notice a quick Google search seems to indicate others have had this same type of issues with IE 8 as well.I can't seem to locate a reason why it's not working.
The computer is running windows 7 64 bit publisher will not cut and paste from word, will not cut and paste from previous publisher files, freezes and closes without cause.I have installed office 2003 pro and it had these problems as well, so I uninstalled it loaded publisher from a stand alone copy and the rest of Office from the office 2003 pro disk.
I just bought a new Dell Inspiron560 , windows 7, and the copy and paste will not work, in my old pc windows XP, I could copy and paste all the graphics I uploaded to Image Cave with no problem, now the copy and paste buttons arent even highlighted when I try?
I have this issue resolved but I still wonder why it always resets to the wrong way.I always have to click on the set mode to "What you see is what you get".This wan't true until a few months ago. This isn't a big issue now that I know what to do (it drove my crazy for a while) but I'm curious as to whether there is a way to set the default to "What you see is what you get".
