The computer is running windows 7 64 bit publisher will not cut and paste from word, will not cut and paste from previous publisher files, freezes and closes without cause.I have installed office 2003 pro and it had these problems as well, so I uninstalled it loaded publisher from a stand alone copy and the rest of Office from the office 2003 pro disk.
View 5 RepliesI have Windows 10 and originally I had a paste options menu popping up each time I pasted so I could decide which format to use. Now the only option I am ever given is Keep Text only. I have tried resetting the default paste settings, but this makes no difference whatsoever. It makes no difference whether I select Paste on the screen or use Control + v on the keyboard. It makes editing documents so much more time consuming.

This applies to docs. saved on MY DOCS and new docs received as e-mail attachments. The strange thing is that this was not the case when first getting the new PC with WIndows 7 -- it has developed within the past month and is most inconvenient as I work with MS Word docs. daily. I changed my antivirus from AVG to Avast, but no improvement re. the MS Word docs.

However, it keeps giving me the message "The publisher of this program couldn't be verified", with options to "Open" the file (which doesn't work because it's an incomplete file; I guess it blocked the download), "Learn more..." which is useless and "Cancel". When I open my XP mode virtual window and attempt to run a program, I get a message that says "unknown publisher", and talks about digital signature cannot be verified. Is there some way to tell virtual XP that "program X" is ok? In this particular instance, the program involved is a DOS program.I do not get that message when running the same program on a real XP machine.

I have Windows 7 on a 30GB SSD, and a 2TB HD I keep most of my games and whatnot on. I want to learn Objective C programming and Cocoa Touch for developing Apps. But to the point, I need to run the SDK. I can't do that on Windows (I think) and buying a Mac just to learn programming is out of the question. I may be able to build a hackintosh, but I'd rather not. That being said, I want to know if I can create a Dual Boot system where Windows 7 is my main/default OS, and have a separate Hard drive for the OS x leopard. I've seen some tutorials stating on how to partition ONE drive. I don't want that. I want two separate drives. One only for OS X, and the other only for Windows 7. Is this possible? I'm willing to buy a 1 TB drive and get it going. Have Windows 7 and OSX. Want both on my PC without having to partition one drive. Want separate drives for each OS.

Installed the RC with a key from a blog as I lost my first key when I downloaded it.
I keep getting an error saying "This computer is not running genuine Windows" in the control panel and I can't activate Windows 7.
I am not trying to pirate anything, I just want to test out the RC before I buy Windows 7. Have I done something wrong during the install process?
I have two computers running Windows 7 and both belong to a Homegroup. From one computer I can access both computers and from the other I can't access the other. It say's I don't have permission but I gave it everyone permission when I shared it. I can't figure out why?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a computer that's 3-4 years old now and in the last couple of weeks has been giving me a popup alert saying 'This computer is not running genuine Windows' with and error # 0x8004fe21.I have called Microsoft telephone activations and was asked to run 'slui.exe 3' from the command prompt and re-enter the Windows product key (from the computer case), which I did and it successfully activated. I restarted and everything initially seemed fine, but now the message has returned.The MGADiag report (below) shows a number of 'File Mismatch' errors - but I'm not sure what to do about it.
