I opened and used the Magnifier program on my Windows 7 to see an inverted video, but not quite sure what the default options were (there isn't a restore default settings on it),

- Print screen your Magnifier options and post the image here.
i have a 7 series samsung laptop, I can make my own "custom" power plan, or even set it on balanced or anything, and when i shut computer down(doing it properly), and start it up, the power plan is back on "Samsung Eco Mode". I'm not sure if THIS eco mode is what is then turning off the network card, but also when i start, the internet is connected for about 5 seconds, then disconnected....adding another piece to the puzzle there is a program installed from the factory called "Easy Settings" and when i open that, network card is in "off" position, i turn it on and instantly have internet again. This easy settings program is on my list of programs i can uninstall, but im not sure if its whats reverting settings or not, getting to be verrry annoyed with opening 6 menus everytime i start-up to get everything the way i want it again. actually also i have heard these samsung laptops come w.lots of fluff programs that arent needed, if anyone knows MORE of these i can uninstall thatd be amazing.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi have laptop that has some propriatory software for the power settings, specifically its the toshiba evo utility. there is a hard button for it above my keyboard. my usual policy is to run the eco when i'm on batteries and run a windows plan when plugged in. i want to run the high performance when i plug in, but everytime i press the eco button to come out of eco mode it defaults to blummin balanced.save for deleting the other plans, is there a way round this? can i set the default plan to always be high power when switching back and forth to my proprietry tosh eco mode plan?

I've been to Ease of Access Center, and there is no checkmark in magnifier. A shortcut to it is listed in start menu and I located the app in C: drive. But I can find no way of 'executing the exe'. It is constantly popping up when I'm using anything on the desktop. This is a real nuisance for me though I'm sure many may need it.
I'm smoke testing Windows 7 for my company and we've had user request to use the magnifier functionality. He is using an HP Elitebook 4880 laptop and leveraging the Architecture Aero theme, however I cannot get the magnifier to allow me use any view option other than "Docked". This system is completely compatible with Windows 7, but nothing I've done to date will allow me to select Full Screen (appears grayed out).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use a screen magnifier/reader,it doesn't allw aero to function because it uses the graphics card,a known mirrored driver issue,not fixable at this time.So I would like to either disable aero altogether so I can use a black theme,or use the built in windows7 basic theme but with black instead of the default colour.
I know I can shut off aero peak and aero shake but how do I shut all of aero off,other than using the Windows 7 basic theme,and that is why I asked about changing the colour in the basic theme.I hope that makes sense.
I just bought a new Dell Studio laptop with Windows 7 installed. At the bottom right of the IE 8 explorer window is a number (change zoom level). I like it set at 125% and to stay at that number. Whenever I am working in my email on IE, the number will change on its own and I have to set back to 125%. Is there a way to set this number ar 125% an have it stay at that number?

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy issue is that i would like to be able to have media center audio play only through my tv and not through my pc main speaker system, tv is hooked through hdmi output on graphics card, speaker system through 5.1 output on motherboard. I have tried the audiorenderupdater extender but all that does is set default audio out for entire system, so when itunes is used or game is played on computer audio goes through tv. I would like all system noises, media player, and game audio to run through pc speakers and simultaneously all media center audio (recorded/live tv) to go through tv audio, so i can watch sports center while playing mass effect and have audio from sportscenter on tv audio from mass effect on pc speakers.
Also is there a way to separate media player's actions from media center's. For example if you are laying music in media player and then open media center and play a tv show, music playback stops, not a big deal just like media player better than itunes and would like to be able to watch tv in media center while playing music in media player rather than itunes

View 2 Replies View RelatedRunning Win7 and certain programs do not display options. For example... if I run msconfig.... it pops up but there's nothing there... just a blank GUI... If I try to install a program... the install wizard pops up... but it's just a blank GUI... same with Task Manager. I can run CMD though. I tried to run a Outlook export and the export wizard is also just a blank GUI. And then in Chrome when I try to browse websites it's like 90% of the CSS doesn't work. I think I might have a virus but Kaspersky couldn't find any issues... I also tried some online scanners. I want to install some more serious software but I can't get through the wizards because the options don't exist.

My computer just shut itself down on its own last night.Upon restart all I get is an HP screen that says hit esc. to go to startup menu, and it takes me to a screen with like 5 different options. If you don't hit esc at the beginning it goes to a black screen with a white line looks like a cursor line.

ON XP there is no problem in searching all drives and folders or searching for documents, video's etc, but this seems to be missing in Windows 7, or have I missed it somewhere.

A recent hardware or software change might be the cause" this screen appears no matter what I do. 2 options also occur on this screen, 1st being restart windows which returns to the same screen again and 2nd which is to launch startup repair which freezes on a loading screen(I've left it for ~12 hours lol). Tapping f8 opens advanced boot options but safe mode and repair you computer do nothing..as in no options or change in screens after I click..(I can't get to factory restore image)

(I've used this program for years with no problems and would really like to contiune using it.) After about 45 seconds of downtime, PC goes to sleep and requires a password when you wake it up.
