Why Is My Mouse Jumping All Over The Screen
Dec 8, 2011As part of my upgrade to AM3, I did a quick format of my SSD and reinstalled Windows 7, but now for some reason my mouse movement doesn't match up with my cursor movement. I installed the Microsoft drivers for my keyboard and mouse, performed all the necessary Windows updates but I still can't get it to work properly. Is there something I'm not doing? Do I need to reinstall the USB drivers for my motherboard?

If i open Eindows Explorer and open a network drive ( I: ), then the Windows Explorer open's it, but after a few seconds later, it jumps back to the main page. It is very annoying. I have 11 network drives, but only on two networks drives occurs this problem.

Nov 3, 2010In old windows, when you renamed a photo, it stayed in the same place in relation to all the other photos in the folder until you closed and then reopened the folder. Now in 7 and vista, as soon as you rename it, it gets reordered in the folder by name. It jumps away from its current position. With 250 photos in the folder, its hard to get it back.I need information on the photo to rename the next photo. Any way to make it stay in place till the folder is opened and closed? I can't find anything here in the forum or in folder properties, etc

Dec 19, 2011one day it suddenly crashed while i was watching a movie. it displayed random patterns on screen. kinda like part of the image from the video is on the screen then a black strip and random colors. I restarted the unit to safe mode and left it on and browsed the net and downloaded some big files for how many hours and nothing happened.. there are also times when windows is still loading with the windows logo on screen, it crashes. there are also times when the login screen is displayed and it crashes. it just crashes randomly! so i tried to reformat it. i deleted the partitions and created a new one, formatted it then fresh installed windows 7 ( my previous OS is windows 7 by the way) and started installing the basic drivers and after a few hours, it crashed again...thinking that the driver installed might not be compatible, i tried another fresh install of windows (same execution, delete partition, create, install OS) and this time, without installing the drivers, it crashed again after a few hours... sometimes it crashes immediately after turning it on from cold start!

Nov 22, 2011I have a 10 month old Acer 5820t laptop running win 7 home premium. About 6 weeks ago, the screen started going dark every few minutes and it has gotten worse. I can see the image faintly and by pressing the display brighten button can get it to come back or sometimes have to close and reopen lid it will come back. No external peripherals are connected. The Intel HD graphics card has the latest driver installed. The screen saver seems to work but the display will also go dark when the screeb saver is running.

May 7, 2012I have a problem with WMAD or Windows Monitor Auto Detect, when I have a LCD monitor connected to my laptop, it second monitor will randomly stop displaying whatever I have on that side. Sometimes I Disconnect then Reconnect and display for Extension or repeat the connection process about 3 or 4 times before Windows 7 makes up its mind to either keep it disconnected or connected.

Nov 29, 2012I just picked up a used Samsung Series 3 Laptop and had an issue with the keyboard not working properly. While reinstalling some drivers the computer re-started itself and then proceeded to freeze on the "starting windows" screen. I tried to run the windows repair option, it boots into a green background which says'please wait'...well I waited and waited and nothing happened so I kept retrying it. Eventually I left this on for a half hour or so and it actually finally went into the windows repair option!
I chose to re install windows from the partition and thought everything was fine, it went through the downloading and installing of those files and restarted, froze on the 'Starting windows" screen. I left it there for 40 mins plus, thinking maybe it just needed time, the only thing it did was reset itself after 30 or so minutes and froze again. I tried going into Bios and resetting the defaults, I don't even care about the keyboard not working anymore, I just want to get the computer functioning again!

I have tried system restore, repair best last configuration. none have made a difference i am running it through safe mode at the moment as that is the only thing i can get on..i have no idea what else i can do!
