View 9 Replies View RelatedI've recently switched to Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (High Definition Audio Device) using one Toslink cable instead of all the analog wires going from my PC to my receiver. The digital sound is amazing, CD quality from my PC is great. However, I now also receive the digitized sound of pages being loaded as I surf the web. All sound comes out digitized when loading a new page.Is there a way to stop this from happening while listening to music or course material without gong back to analog? Can I have my digital CD quality and enjoy it too!

Too new to computers to know if this is needed to answer my question, but Windows 7 & Google Chrome.
Is what I'm attempting possible, or is it time to break down and get with the program with a HDTV ?
I have a ASUS P8B75-M Motherboard and can not get the audio to play through the audio out jack on the back of the motherboard. It shows that audio is supposed to be playing but I hear Nothing. In Control Panel is shows HD Digital Audio for the Audio Hardware but I don't have digital speakers or a Digital Receiver because like most people I have my PC hooked to Analog Desktop Speakers I don't use my PC to watch Movies or play games. I tried reinstalling the Audio Drivers from the support CD and form the Asus support page and all I found were supposedly Digital Audio Drivers. In Control Panel under Sound for playback it says Digital Audio (HDMI) so I assume it is sending the audio to the HDMI Port and not the Green Analog Out jack. I Don't have or plan to get a HDMI Monitor I want to use the Analog Out Jack. Asus support is horrible and totally useless I can't even log onto my account on the forums because the forgot password thing does not work and I forgot my password.I have Show Disabled and Show Disconnected devices checked marked and can still only see the Digital Audio device. The Analog Audio works fine in Ubuntu Linux and it shows an Analog Output device in system settings.I'm about to take this piece of crap Motherboard back and get a MSI but it's a pain removing the CPU and Motherboard and then having to get more thermal compound when I reinstall the CPU into the MSI Motherboard and what if MSI has the same lack of support for Analog Audio?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently got a Tekmotion Yapster for Christmas. Before I was using a basic Logitech USB mic. My Tekmotion Yapster uses analog. So I plugged in my Tekmotion and it seems to detect my microphone, however it does not detect my audio. So I opened "Sound" and I looked in the playback and it is only detecting my HDMI monitor which doesn't even have speakers.

I'm interested to know whether its possible to disable the system clock? We all know applications and websites can get access to our time zone, etc. I often use anonymous browser clients such as TOR & JonDo to protect my online privacy. For example, I might be set an IP address in Russia, but live in America. The thing is - websites can still access our time zone on the computer so they will I'm not in Russia but actually in xxxx state in America. I don't want to change the time to something random as I've heard this can destabilize the computer and its applications. So is it possible to disable it? If not - is there a browser configuration to block access to it? I did attempt running it under Sandboxie but that doesn't work either.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have windows 7 professional service pack 1 installed on my computer. I found that the clock time does not set to new time even if I change it, after a minute or to it automatically reverts back to false settings. I tried changing it by clicking the clock time on the right bottom corner and changed it to current time. In internet time tab of change time and date setting window, it is set to time.windows.com. Is there anything I could do to set it right? What is the reason of this behaviour?
View 5 Replies View RelatedOn my wife's laptop (i3 350 cpu) running Windows 7HP (Sp1 - UK ver.) The second hand on the gadget clock jerks around. It jumps between about 5 and 10 seconds at a time. I have run Norton & Malwarebytes' scans; replaced gadget settings; reloaded the clock; etc. but all to no avail. The whole process of adding and adjusting Gadgets appears to take longer than it should. At one stage gadgets were using the whole of one core! It appears that something in the background is slowing the gadgets up. I have gone into the Control Panel "Date & Time" and the second hand on the clock there works perfectly.

I got this sexy pc my man built me less than a year ago and it's been working fine (or maybe I haven't noticed before) but in the past few months the clock is resetting every time[i] I reboot. It seems to lose time over a couple hours of just being turned on as well. It's a very stealthy process so I haven't actually seen it do it, but all of a sudden I'll be late for work again, and blaming my pc has become a lame excuse. I've read topics on this, my motherboard battery is dead, but it's not only on reboots as it happens every day and I barely ever turn it off. Anyway. If it is the mb battery, how do I find this out? It's my gaming pc if that matters in any way and my motherboard is the hot Sabertooth x58. I'm running windows 7 ultimate.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am running Windows 7 premium. The taskbar/notification/clock area @ the bottom of my desktop is huge, like nearly an inch. The Time, Day and Date are one below the other. This takes up so much space especially when u have multiple toolbars, address bar etc @ the top not 2 mention the additional loss of space (of nothingness) @ the top. Leaves less working space than I'm happy with. How do I gain back the use of that half inch in the taskbar? Is it possible 2 gain back the lost area @ the top as well?.I have already gone to Properties and changed the settings there (use small icons). It made no difference at all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got a used computer from a friend and I have discovered that the clock is always set to 2009-08-07. The clock cycles from 4:02 AM- 5:02 AM and it resets itself. If I try to change it then the computer becomes very slow and laggy, however, the mouse is not. I have run my anti virus to see if it is a virus but there was none detected. I suspect it might be something to do with my motherboard.
