I want to install a HP printer HP laserjet 1020 on a PC with Windows 7 32, When I plug it, I receive a message like USB device not recognize. I did try the USB port with a USB memory stick, and the USB port is functioning. This printer had worked few time with the PC. Now, never connect. I uninstall the printer driver then re-install, same problem
I did try the printer in another system and it work Is it possible the the USB port is no sourcing enough current for the printer?
I have two printers A wireless cannon which it does recognize and an epson RX 580 series it does no recognize. When I go to printers it shows my cannon not epson. However when I want to print a word document the printer that comes up is the cannon.( default setting) But I then hit the draw down button and it does display the RX 580 I select it and it prints. How do I get the RX 580 to show under printers so I can make it the default printer?
I have a desktop computer. I have an older Epson printer attached to the parallel port. I also have a USB Canon Pixma IP4000 printer attached to the desktop..I have 3 other laptop computers which connect wirelessly. The desktop and 2 of the laptops connect fine to the Epson and the Canon printers. These are all XP.But my newest computer is a W7 computer. It recognizes the Epson and works fine with that. How do I get it to see and use the Canon printer (I think it used to work with it). When I try and add a printer and specifiy network printers it does not find the Canon.
I have been attempting to install my HP P2015DN USB printer (connected locally, not to a network), and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (SP1) does not recognize the printer. There is an additional printer that I use for my PC, but this is the primary one.I have checked various posts on these forums regarding this, but practically all of them relate to networked printers, not a single, stand alone printer. I have the correct drivers, and normally, this should not be an issue.I would also like to add that this occurred after installing Win 7 clean, with the exception of monitor/video card drivers. I was in the process of installing all my hardware before starting with any other software.
having moved once and having add and removed computers from my home network, along with other changes, I now have a cluttered Printer Selection Window, by which I mean the window that pops up when I want to print a document. I have five versions of a Brother printer and four versions of an HP printer, and only one of each is actually good. How do I clean up that window by getting rid of those obsolete references that no longer work? It's ridiculous that they don't simply disappear when I select one of them as the default.
I bought a new wireless Epson Workforce 545 printer. It has worked without flow for quite some time (nearly a year). Now all the suddenly it wont print.I have it as a shared printer. There are three other family members on the network and all three others print without any problem. Mine worked fine and now wont print. It goes through the motions and then times out. All it says is "printer error".
I use Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. My problem is: Whenever I try to print something (word, pdf, or any other file); printer spooler stops working and when I check the Devices and Printers all the printer drivers seem to be disappeared. I checked the Print Spooler" in the Services tool; and set the "Recovery after subsequent failures" option to Restart the Serviceā. Therefore all the printer drives coma back after 1 minute. However the spooler stops immediately again when the uncompleted printing job starts; hence I can not print anything more than a page. Earlier in this forum, someone posted that Microsoft issued a hotfix for this problem ( hotfix 2388142) which can be downloaded from article: [URL]. I downloaded this hotfix and tried to install, however it gives an error message of: The update is not applicable to your computer and quits installation. I did uninstall and reinstall all the printer drives, but this did not help either.
I have 2 computers on my home network. My desktop is running Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit and I have a kodak 5500 Aio connected to it. I also have a laptop that's running windows 7 home premium 64 bit that connects wireless. I was able to print until today and now I can't print from the laptop. I can see the printer in the add printer window but comes up with cannot connect with error of 0x0000000d
my AIO printer is listed in Windows 7 Device manager as printer and fax separately.Printer acts as a fax machine I am not able to use windows fax and scan modem facility in my windows How can I change the present set up
Windows 7 recognizes the printer but has a yellow triangle exclamation point. it will not print, but I cannot find any printer driver for Windows 7. any ideas?
Answer:-
Are yere any more details on what is the matter with the printer in device manager?
You should be able to download the Windows Vista drivers for that printer from here, which should be compatible with Windows 7:
I downloaded Printers' drivers, one for HP and the other for Epson by accessing their web-sites.Both are USB-connection and working fine, however icons of both printers on, ... Start > Device and Printers,.... there are no printers' icons, even though other devices, such as thumb-drive, monitor, keyboard and others.Just wonder why icons of both printers are missing on 'Device and Printer?'
I have an MX850 and an MX870 printer both connected to my LAN.I also use an application called CD Label Print. When I started that program I noticed that there were 3 MX850 printers listed, the original and a (Copy 1) and (Copy 2).So I went to devices and printers and saw there was a MX850 and a MX850 (Copy 2). No (Copy 1). So I removed the (Copy 2) printer and fax.I went back to CD Label print and saw that it still said MX850 and MX850 (Copy 1). Went back to devices and printers and sure enough, MX850 was gone and MX850 (Copy 1) was present. So I pressed F5. It changed to MX850. Press F5 again, it changed back to MX850 (Copy 1).It changes non-stop. It alternates betweem the two settings every time I press F5.I've tried uninstall re-install. I've also contacted Canon support who are dumbfounded. I also had to manually remove the registry entries and start menu entries because the canon uninstaller doesn't so it.I cannot use CD Label print. Each time I try to print a label it insists on asking where to save the file, rather than printing it.
We are running a small network with a NAS and networked PC's. The PC's are all running Windows 7 Ultimate. One PC will open files already open by others and does not notify that the file is in use. This user enters information into the file, saves and closes. When the original user (accessing the file first, sometimes adds information) saves and closes the file, the changes from the second user are lost.
I have a pretty old Compaq Pressario that was running 2 512 MB sticks so I added 2 1 GB sticks today but it still shows it only utilizing 1 MB. I put the new sticks in the original slots and moved the old ones over so it is not an issue of installationI ran CPU-Z and all four sticks show up in the SPD tab but the 2 new ones only have values in the timings table under JEDEC #1, the 2 old ones have JEDEC #1, 2, and 3.
i want to ask. My windows cannot recognize my CD-R files. i put in my CD-R and windows recognize it as blank CD-R. while there's file (an autorun files and software installer) in that CD-R. i have pc and laptop, i try putting my cd-r on my pc (win xp sp2) my windows recognize the file, but when i try putting on my laptop (win 7 64bit) it recognized as blank cd-r.
I have two drives by seagate 1tb and 500gb. The 1tb drive is highspeed but when i plug it into the 3.0usb ss it does not show up. Im stuck using the 2.0 drive.
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate on a Macbook Pro, and I would like to use the laptop screen as well as my ASUS 23" lcd monitor. When I open the display > screen resolution window, it shows that I have only one display, and gives me no options for multiple displays. The same image is displayed on both screens. My 2nd monitor is hooked up through DVI, and worked just fine with Windows XP. Does anyone know what my problem might be?
a few days ago i have connected my racing wheel. it worked well, but 2 days ago iv'e connect the wheel again and suddenly it says "USB device not recognize"?
I was gfiven some external hardrives with enclosures and was told they all work. I cant get a single one to be recognized in computer. any tips or workarounds to get windows to recognize these drives. I am now using an acer 64 bit laptop.
does it recognize it as general how much ram, or does it go specific. sorry if its a confusing question..but i have a gig ram on this laptop and i have some used for video ram..so total is a little under 1 gig, how will windows 7 recognize this, as "your pc has 1 gig ram" or "your pc has 9** ram".
I have been pouring over countless threads on issues related to this. Yet none of these solutions seem to be working for me, and I am fairly certain that I am implementing them correctly.Xbox and PC do recognize each other and I can access the libraries on my computer via xbox.I have setup the Windows Media Center on my Xbox.WMC on my computer shows the Xbox is setup as an Extender. It also states that it is ready for use. Every time I try to run WMC on my Xbox it enters the black screen that says Windows Media Center and has the load "bubbles" underneath with the word Contacting... after a period the screen times out and gives me the message:"Connection Failure. The Xbox could not connect to the Windows Media Player PC. Turn the console off and and back on again, and try again."
I have just found to my irritation that iTunes _will_ check CD info such as song names etc. ....however....
Every now and then it fails to find info. It almost seems as if it does not even try. Usually when I insert a CD, it tells me it's checking with Gracenote, and in short order the details pop up. Then suddenly it will just not get details. I have read the instructions and reasons why.
What does not make sense is that in two instances, Disc 2 of a double disc set will register, but disc one will not. This has happened with Physical Graffiti, by Led Zeppelin, and a Best Of by Faith No More. Of the maybe 1/2 doz CDs that have failed so far, the others were single disc. The failures have failed in spite of repeated attempts, restarts and even a reboot. All the failures were pretty popular, and what I thought were far more obscure stuff worked fine.
EDIT: I now have three double CD sets that have had the first disc fail, while the second gets info. So that is over-represented, but not exclusive: that is to say I have had double CD sets that worked, and single CDs that have failed to supply info from the web.
I can't connect to the internet on my desktop pc after I reinstalled windows. I have linksys wrt320n router and I can connect to it only by wi-fi. When I try to install router's setup wizard or network magic - it writes that my computer is not connected to router though it is connected in the same way as it was before. In the LOCAL AREA CONNECTION it is also written that network cable is unplugged...I also tryed to connect just internet cable without router - PC also didn't react. Maybe the problem is that my network adapter (nvidia nforce) is without appropriate drivers? Cause I can't find drivers for nvidia nforce networking contoller for windows 7.
