USB Modem Not Detected
I am using Micromax 300c EVDO modem ( Datacard ) for wireless broadband connection. In one machine having Intel 915 Chipset motherboard, it is working fine. In the device manager, in the modem category, it shows correctly as " CDMA 2000 Rev A Modem ". In another machine, having Intel DG41TY motherboard, the device manager does not show modem. Only in other devices category, shows as Data services. ( in ports category both diagnostic and service ports are shown correctly)

USB Modem Not Connecting To Internet
A few days ago i was trying to connect my laptop to my ps3.To do this i was changing setting etc but never got it to work anyway. The next day i turn the computer on and can't connect to the internet.I think it was something to do with dns.I uninstalled and reinstalled my usb modem and software and always get full connection bars and says its connected, but in the bottom right hand corner it says network "no internet access" with a yellow triangle over it.It was because i was changing all of the settings in network and sharing senter, but being the wally i am, never wrote down the original settings. Whatever i did i am fairly certain i did it in the change adapter settings.

Huawei E169 USB 3g Modem Driver
I can't get my Huawei 169 modem to function in Windows 7, I've tried both build 6801 and 6956 -same result
As soon as I plug the modem in Windows 7 recognizes it as a usb disk, I can access the disk and launch the on board installer. I've downloaded the latest driver from the Huawei site, but the installer fails with the error "can't find any modem"
If I do a hardware scan in the device manager only the usb disk turns up, but not the modem.
I'm using this modem on this laptop in both WinXP and OSX without any problems, so the modem and PC is allright...
Is there any special windows 7 services that I need to start?

How To Disconnect Usb Modem To Save Telephone Charge
My daughter can only get dialup connection, which gets expensive. On her old laptop, (now defunct) running XP, with built-in modem, this was no problem; she simply right-clicked the taskbar and chose "disconnect". Her new laptop, running Windows 7, has no modem, so I got a USB one for her - it connects effortlessly, but we can find no way of disconnecting it and carrying on working offline, except by physically unplugging it, which seems a bit inelegant if nothing else.

[DRIVERS] USB CDMA Modem Not Found For Windows 7 (x64)?
I had been using internet with the help of USB CDMA Modem whose image have been attached below, in my PC with Windows XP SP3 (x32) previously. I don't actually remember the name of the manufacturer's; may be its 1X CDMA Modem! Now I purchased a Dell Laptop with x64 core i5 processor and now the software provided with the modem (in its driver CD) isn't compatible with my Windows 7 Home Premium. So I can't use internet in my new laptop...and I don't want to continue using internet in my old PC which has very inferior configuration! In fact even the dialler software provided in the same CD was not installed unless I disabled my anti-virus i.e. Microsoft Security Essentials!

Can't Remove Internet Modem USB Stick In Windows 7?
I am using Internet Modem USB Stick with my computer. My computer is Windows 7 Professional. I have a problem with removing the Internet Modem USB Stick from the computer. When I insert the Internet Modem USB Stick into my computer and then I wish to remove it, I really can't do so. I, however, can remove the Internet Modem USB Stick from the computer easily in Windows XP.I think it will reduce my Internet Modem USB Stick Lifetime and there probably should effect my computer lifetime if I try to remove the USB Stick without allowing to reject.

Plugging The Printer USB Cable Into The Modem And, In Control Panel?
One desktop PC running Windows 7 Home EditionOne laptop also running Windows 7 Home EditionMy modem is a Thomson TG782TMy printer is an Epson STYLUS Photo RX610I currently print by swapping the printers USB cable to either my desktop or the laptop, no problems. My desktop is cabled to the modem, my laptop is wireless. My modem has a USB port, to which I can successfully plug in a USB memory stick, and use from both the PC and the laptop.I have tried plugging the printer USB cable into the modem and, in Control Panel, installing a new printer using 192.168.1.253 address. The printer appears to have installed ok, but all attempts to print to it have been unsuccessful

No Sound While Using USB Modem On Windows 7 Pro 64bit Machine
I have recently got a new laptop with Windows 7 professional and facing a strange problem that sound becomes dead as soon as I connect USB modem to it and open the vendor specific software. I was using the same modem on win xp machine for last one year and did not face any such issue. I tried to install the new drivers for audio but problem still persist. Verified the drivers for audio and modem and everything looks to be fine and working.

No Usb Devices Detected
OK so this is with my sisters laptop, everything was apparently fine one day & not working the next.I've read it may be a driver issue & have re-installed the correct (I think) driver version, but this hasn't fixed the problem.

Usb Storage Devices Not Detected
I no longer show any storage media (flash, portableHD) in my computer when i plug them in. The sound chimes when they connect, they show in the device manager with an exclamation point, but i cannot access anything. Initially my flash drives would attempt to install drivers but fail, now nothing even pops up in the task bar to show it is connected.
Anything that it not storage related (mouse, keyboard, printer, phone charger) all work fine, they chime and pop up in the taskbar when they are plugged in like normal.
What i have tried with no success: Boot into safemode and uninstall everything under USB Controller.... in the device manager including hidden, use different usb ports, refresh, update drivers, nothing works.

USB Ports, Devices Detected
Certain devices ("obsolete" flash drives, iPod) are undetected in Windows 7. There are no problems with my mouse and wireless adapter, which are USB. I have tried connecting previously undetected devices through the same ports that detect the mouse and wireless adapter, which has made me further suspect the problem being with the ports, thus possibly drivers, rather than the devices (since the devices are still undetected).
I have also tried uninstalling all USB ports in Device Manager before restarting Windows, which didn't help.
Another related concern is whether the motherboard driver(s) is(are) up-to-date. I have an Intel Desktop Board LGA775 and cannot find the proper download for an update. This may fix the problem.
