My computer just started getting the BSOD error. For the pst week my mouse and keyboard just froze but not the whole computer. the only thing I noticed before it restarted was "USB Driver"
(Mouse Hangs randomly).
I usually try and fix any computer error's by Googling the crap out of it until I fix it myself as I hate to be defeated but I have a problem that just started about a week ago and wont stop. I watch alot of movies online through streaming and recently the shows that i usually watch without a problem started taking alot of time to load and then as i start to play it freezes on me. What happens is I still hear the video but the picture freezes on me and then the browser starts flickering on and off the not responding. After it flickers and tries to fix the problem itself the screen goes black and computer shuts off then restarts. Im not sure what is going on but my whole windows 7 seems to be going so slow lately with slow startups as well.
View 3 Replies View Related[code] Now here is what has been going on since 26/05, While I was playing "World of Tanks" the game froze, sound was stuck and screen turned black with white stripes, I had to force a restart, the minidump was accusing a dll file of nvidia's which when I searched for on the internet it sounded like a random hiccup of Nvidia and it only happened once so I ignored it. But the game started crashing to the desktop since then but not very often, it never did that with my older pc, so I don't know if it's from the game side or my side.Yesterday around 8pm, I was about to transfer a 7gig folder from my main disk to the storage disk, as soon as I opened the partition that I was transfering to, I had a blue screen saying only "Unknown hard error", I force restarted and the MB resat the Bios and it restarted again and since then windows wouldn't boot, it kept asking for repair and during that repair it said "System was unable to boot" several times and after the many repair runs it kept saying it failed to fix the problem.Then I unplugged my storage HDDs and only left the system HDD, booted from windows 7 DVD and tried to repair but still said it couldn't fix the problem, in the report it said there was a problem with ci.dll, so I started "command" tried these commands (bootrec.exe /fixboot, bootrec.exe /fixmbr, bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd) after that I restarted and windows booted perfectly, right after that I shut down the computer, plugged in the 2 other HDDs, windows booted perfectly then all of the sudden, the keyboard wasn't responding (not even it's leds were working) same thing with my mouse, I looked at the HDD led and it wasn't doing anything at all, no small flickers or anything, so I force restarted, it booted like normal, I started to transfer a folder to 1 of my storage HDDs, opened up firefox, it was acting really slow, everything I was doing on it was lagging although nothing was draining the CPU or ram or anything, opened few pages, when the transfer was about to finish, the pc restarted.
After the restart, the event log says "kernal power" event id 41, category 63 and it didn't give me any minidumps. Anyway I went to sleep around 3AM, left my downloads running and was hopping nothing would happen but something sure happened, the event log says at 4:30 AM "The Windows Modules Installer service entered the stopped state." then no new events till 6:45 AM which was a warning saying "TCP/IP has chosen to restrict the scale factor due to a network condition. This could be related to a problem in a network device and will cause degraded throughput." No other events till I had waken up at 10:37 and found the monitor turned off not responding, HDD led completely off, no flickers, basically nothing was responding.So here I'm don't know what the hell am I supposed to do, I have a decent knowledge regarding windows problems, but this problem is too open and wide, is it 1 of my hard disks? is it the lonely GPU I have right now? is it the ram? is it the CPU? I need some guidance on how to eliminate each of them.before the MB resat the Bios, the CPU was overclocked to 4.2GHz and I tested it many times and it was very stable, so when the system hanged after the boot problem was fixed, there was no overclocking involved, there was no heating issue, temps were normal, I have a 1000w plus gold certified PSU.
I'm seeming randomly having a problem on my self-built desktop PC where my keyboard and mouse will freeze up, leaving the computer virtually inoperable. I also get strange hangs in the mouse that last a second or so, leading up to one big hang. There's no BSOD or anything like that.I have to hard reboot in order to do anything. All programs and services continue to run and there's no real warning. Games will continue to play like normal as will videos and music, I just can't alt/tab or Cntrl/Alt/Delete. There's no indication that the devices disconnected physically or otherwise. The LEDs on the keyboard stay lit, so it's not as if it loses power.I have tried unplugging and replugging, updating USB drivers, installing and subsequently uninstalling Logitech software, and physically cleaning the fan (Just to ensure heat wasn't a factor). I've ran virus checks from Avast and Malware Bytes that have come back clean. I've looked into the event viewer, but I'm not very proficient with it and I can't seem to find anything on it.

Very randomly the mouse and some times the keyboard freezes and won't come back. I checked device manager and nothing is yellow or red. i tried updating the usb, keyboad, and mouse drivers but none are available. All are plugged into a dlink usb hub.
I tried 2 mice and keyboard combinations:
1- hp mouse and keyboard wired
2- useb mouse/keyboard wireless
My mouse is hanging after few minutes randomly and i hear a sound "Ding dong" and after 1-2 seconds it works again, I checked Event Viewer but cant find any error.

In safe mode same thing, but can see the last driver listed before hanging is null.sys. I see the hard drive light continuing to flash after waiting 30 or so minutes no change.I've tried regular boot, last known good boot, safe mode, startup repair... they all hang.Any suggestions on getting this pc booted or what the issue is? View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell laptop running Windows 64 Home. This was new in November of 2011. After receiving it, I went through the tedious task of updating it via MS Update. I noticed after upgrading, the mouse started behaving very strangely where it would take off and shutter, not respond or be very slow to respond. Contacted Dell and they had me turn off a bunch of stuff on the Dell Touchpad app. This helped but did not fix the issue. I ended up re-installing the OS and made sure the drivers were installed in the correct order using the drivers disk supplied by Dell. Haves since installed the most current driver provided by Dell on their website 15.3.2.1 (April 2011). There continues to be issues with the mouse freezing from time to time. I looked at other threads and removed the Tap to Click feature. There is not much left on and the problem persists.

I tried to find drivers with Hp keyboardmouse driver updater, but it took only windows 2000's drivers of keyboard.
I recently gave vista the boot installed windows 7 on my Toshiba satellite A200-FT3 laptop. Everything went great however the touchpad doesn't seem to be functioning.
I've already installed the latest synaptic driver. The device manager even says that the device is 'working properly' however i can't get the pointer to move using the touchpad.
The 'Fn' functions work:
Fn+F7 to brighten
Fn+F6 to darken.
EXCEPT the touchpad: Fn+F9.
Does anybody have any ideas?
I have a Trust 460LR wireless optical mouse that is connected to my PC via a PS2 to USB converter.
When I connect it it is recognised and it works perfectly except for the back and forward button which do nothing.
As it's fairly old there is no driver on the Trust site and I wondered if anyone had any suggestions?
Just upgraded to windows 7 ultimate and when i restart, my normal microsoft usb mouse works in the bios until windows starts loading all the drivers from sys32. I used gpedit to disable auto install and uninstalled all of the usb drivers also gives me a code 19. where can i just find a generic usb driver or something.

View 1 Replies View RelatedComputer Stats: 2009 Macbook Pro running Windows 7 Ultimate x32 via boot camp, all drivers up to date as of last night, no non-factory parts or tampering with any system files. Issue: Around a month ago, I noticed my laptop freeze up whenever I left it unattended for more than half an hour. Sometimes it would lag for 30 seconds or so and then be fine, sometimes I would have to reboot entirely. This happened again two days ago and upon rebooting it became stuck during the animation at the "windows loading" screen. I restarted and used F8 to pull up the advanced boot menu, chose "system repair", and it went through two loading screens before presenting a black screen of death that never seems to change. Booting in safe mode works, which I've used to scour the internet for fixes and ways to get incredibly drunk. Attempted Fixes: A full system virus scan (duration: 13 hours) with Kaspersky, Malware Bytes, and Panda. Nothing was returned save a few false-positives from torrents (only trusted trackers, nothing dodgy file-wise). Used the "repair my computer" option at F8'd start-up multiple times to no avail. Used "sfc/scannow" twice, which downloaded some windows updates but didn't fix anything. Yelled really loudly at computer and raised my hand as if to smack it, intimidating it into submission but not fixing core issue.
Here is the result of my bootlog, but before that I'll note that it hangs on "Loaded driver SystemRootsystem32DRIVERSCLASSPNP.SYS" for about thirty seconds when loading in safe mode. I thought that might have been the root and downloaded another copy of classpnp.sys, but again it didn't change anything:

edit: I made a system recovery disk and attempted to use both its automatic fix feature and its "detect memory problems" feature. Both came back completely fine. Nothing has changed.
edit: Startup Repair has verified that the root cause is a driver. However, I've no idea which one. Surely that's contained somewhere in the bootlog.
I would like to create a driver that emulates each person on the kinect as a mouse using the windows DDK (Driver development kit). For instance, four people on the kinect and the kinect mouse will have create four instaces of the device or recoginize the four people as four mice. I have a theory I haven't tested but I still think it's possible to do this. What I want to do I create a modified mouse driver that will accept when a person closes their fist as a mouse click (left mouse click if done with left hand and might change this to a different gesture but want a default action until i work out interaction flaws). Also, how do I get the mouse coordinates from the kinects position on the screen? Plan on using on windows 7 32 and 64 bit flavors.

I installed both Intellipoint 7.0 and Intellitype 7.0. About 50% of the time when I boot, the mouse driver fails ("This device cannot start"). I have to manually uninstall the driver and then search for new devices. It re-installs the driver and then the mouse works fine.
Windows update had 3 recent files--update to Intellitype and to Intellipoint I think. Also a MS Mouse and Keyboard Detection Driver (USB), Driver ID = 20305405. It fails to install after many attempts. I've tried turning off all start-up programs without success. Error code 80070103. I think if this could get installed it would end my mouse driver problem. Any help?
I have an HP-dm4 2070us and the touchpad will not work. When I go to hidden devices and the driver( Alps) for it is flagged that its not working properly and has an error code 24 for not working or present. I updated the driver and bios (and before that tried rolling back the bios. I even go to Update Driver and it says it's updated and no issues, but then when I exit back out to the main list the error code is still there and it doesn't work. I have to use tab as I don't actually have a mouse. I am on a different computer now. Another HP that I can't get the wireless printer to work on (which is an HP - a gift, otherwise I at this point would not have purchased another HP product).

Trying to use a USB mouse. I have 3 logitech mice. None work because hidclass.sys and hidusb.sys are not digitally signed. If I f8 and disable driver signing enforcement, all 3 mice work, so I'm pretty certain that's the issue.
Tried "Update Driver" via device manager. Windows determined that I already had the best driver and wouldn't do anything. Logitech does not furnish drivers for Windows 7. They rely on the native drivers.
Acer does not furnish mouse drivers. They refer you to the manufacturer of the mouse. Tried copying the files in question from a 64bit machine that showed them to be digitally signed. Renamed the ones on my machine and pasted the ones from the "good" machine. Resolved nothing.
chkdsk /r found problems and repaired them. Didn't help.
sfc /scannow found problems that it could not resolve. Looked in CBS.log and found no references to either of the sys files in question. No resolution.
System Restore only had one restore point, and it was from 2 days ago. Problem was already noticed by then. I suspect that it's been this way since I purchased the laptop a couple of months ago anyway, but if there had been a restore point back at the very beginning, I'd have tried that.
I don't know much about digital signing of drivers. I've seen in a couple of threads that I might be able to sign the drivers myself, but haven't been able to find out the actual steps to do so. Is the digital signature part of the driver file itself? Or is it another file? If so, where's that file? Or is it a registry entry? If so, can I manipulate that to resolve the problem?
I miss XP. All I want to do is use the simplest of all plug and play devices. It's been about 3 weeks and I still can't get Windows 7 to cooperate.
I own an older Razer Diamondback mouse back from my 2005 build. It has always behaved a little strangely in that it would sometimes not power on when the computer boots up, forcing me to replug it into its USB slot. This behavior persisted through my May 2010 build. Just the other day, however, I noticed that I got a BSOD after replugging the mouse. The culprit was razerlow.sys, a reference to a Razer Diamondback driver. And just this morning, it happened again. (I am including the full error below.)I have not updated my Diamondback driver before this BSOD occurred. Since the BSOD, I uninstalled the driver/software and installed the latest driver from May of this year, but this BSOD occurred again this morning after this update. The only other times I've experienced BSODs are with ATI drivers 10.5-10.11 (I've been on 10.4 until this year), so maybe my recent update to 11.6 has something to do with this? I have made no changes to my hardware, drivers (except ATI), etc. between the last replugging that did not cause a BSOD and the one that did.This error only happens when replugging the mouse when it doesn't boot up. If the mouse boots up and I replug it, the error does not occur. I also just switched USB slots and for whatever reason a Windows pop-up stated that the device is being installed, when it must have been installed the whole time.

I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI probably spilled some coffee on the keyboard and now I can not inactivate the mouse pad in favor of the external mouse. The only way I can eliminate the conflict is to uninstall the mouse pad. That works fine but every time I reboot for something I have to uninstall it again. As you know rebooting is common and therefore I have to reboot twice for every time I have to reboot. Anyone with a solution to this problem? This is a HP laptop. The mouse automatically installs everytime I have to reboot. I do not shut down normaly.
