I have a Trust 460LR wireless optical mouse that is connected to my PC via a PS2 to USB converter.
When I connect it it is recognised and it works perfectly except for the back and forward button which do nothing.
As it's fairly old there is no driver on the Trust site and I wondered if anyone had any suggestions?
I want to configure my bass on my trust 5.1 sorround sound headset, but i dont know how to do that..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 Ultimate on a network w/ 2003 Windows domain. When I first added this computer to the domain, everything worked fine for about a month. Then one morning I came into the office, tried logging in and received a message that the computer has lost it's trust connect with the domain.I logged into the server w/ the DC, reestablished the trust connection from the server side but the comp is still giving me the "Can't establish trust connection" error message when I logged in. My current workaround is unplug the network cable, log into the comp then replug the network cable.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't have a hard drive large enough to backup the data on my daughter's netbook with a corrupted W7 starter install. When I attempt to re-install W7 starter, it does tell me that if it detects a previous Windows install, it will move the files over into a Windows.old folder. I'm familiar with the process, but can I really trust that the installation won't just format and install over my previous files? Does it mostly find your old install and move it with little fail rate?Looking at the drive through a liveCD, I can see all my files are indeed still there. Although I will have to delete some files to make room for a new install since I apparently don't have enough room for it. Would it be safe to delete everything in my Programs folder (I don't mind losing this)? Or would that make the Windows installer unable to recognize my previous install?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I try a net logon from Windows 7 64-bit Business (don't have any other Windows machines), I get "The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed". The discussion I've found around the Web regarding this error message seems to be only in the context of the 30 day password expiry issue, where the solution is to simply rejoin the domain.I have this problem *always*, and rejoining does not help. I have not been able to do a net login at all, from the first time I tried. At the same time, there's no problem accessing the Samba shares by going to \SMB in Windows Explorer and logging in with the same user accounts. Code: # smbstatus Samba version 3.6.7-48.12.1-2831-SUSE-SL12.2-x86_64 The LAN is on 172.16. and the Samba machine is also the LAN's DNS server; not using LDAP. We had been using Samba for simple file sharing, with no domain functionality enabled, and with the Windows machines on the network configured as members of the workgroup. We recently decided to set Samba as a PDC and support roaming profiles, and have been blocked by this trust error.
The profiles directory was chmod 2775 and its group changed from root to users. The netlogon directory is 755. Initially, in smb.conf the name resolve order was starting with dns, but Windows 7 kept giving me an error about not finding the domain when I tried to change from workgroup to domain, so I took that out and set wins as the first item in the list.

Brought in a new Windows 7 64-bit machine and that one works... So it seems to be a Windows configuration issue, but what other settings could possibly cause this authentication failure? The new machine is a recent clean install and uses MSE as antivirus, whereas the older workstations use AVG and Ad-Aware. But I doubt the antivirus could cause the difference. And I don't see any difference in the network configuration of the machines.
I'm running windows 7. When ever i go to a web site. It scrolls to the bottom of the page on its own. Would any one know why that does that? I tried new mouse drivers!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell laptop running Windows 64 Home. This was new in November of 2011. After receiving it, I went through the tedious task of updating it via MS Update. I noticed after upgrading, the mouse started behaving very strangely where it would take off and shutter, not respond or be very slow to respond. Contacted Dell and they had me turn off a bunch of stuff on the Dell Touchpad app. This helped but did not fix the issue. I ended up re-installing the OS and made sure the drivers were installed in the correct order using the drivers disk supplied by Dell. Haves since installed the most current driver provided by Dell on their website 15.3.2.1 (April 2011). There continues to be issues with the mouse freezing from time to time. I looked at other threads and removed the Tap to Click feature. There is not much left on and the problem persists.

I recently gave vista the boot installed windows 7 on my Toshiba satellite A200-FT3 laptop. Everything went great however the touchpad doesn't seem to be functioning.
I've already installed the latest synaptic driver. The device manager even says that the device is 'working properly' however i can't get the pointer to move using the touchpad.
The 'Fn' functions work:
Fn+F7 to brighten
Fn+F6 to darken.
EXCEPT the touchpad: Fn+F9.
Does anybody have any ideas?
Just upgraded to windows 7 ultimate and when i restart, my normal microsoft usb mouse works in the bios until windows starts loading all the drivers from sys32. I used gpedit to disable auto install and uninstalled all of the usb drivers also gives me a code 19. where can i just find a generic usb driver or something.

For instance, four people on the kinect and the kinect mouse will have create four instaces of the device or recoginize the four people as four mice. I have a theory I haven't tested but I still think it's possible to do this. What I want to do I create a modified mouse driver that will accept when a person closes their fist as a mouse click (left mouse click if done with left hand and might change this to a different gesture but want a default action until i work out interaction flaws). Also, how do I get the mouse coordinates from the kinects position on the screen? Plan on using on windows 7 32 and 64 bit flavors.

If I unplug the mouse and plug it back in the acceleration is there for about 5 seconds and then it dies again. I am using the latest Intellipoint 7 driver.

View 0 Replies View RelatedI use the MS Wireless Keyboard 1000 and MS Wireless Optical Mouse 2000 with my HP HDX 16t (dual core) notebook running Windows 7 x64.
I installed both Intellipoint 7.0 and Intellitype 7.0. About 50% of the time when I boot, the mouse driver fails ("This device cannot start"). I have to manually uninstall the driver and then search for new devices. It re-installs the driver and then the mouse works fine.
Windows update had 3 recent files--update to Intellitype and to Intellipoint I think. Also a MS Mouse and Keyboard Detection Driver (USB), Driver ID = 20305405. It fails to install after many attempts. I've tried turning off all start-up programs without success. Error code 80070103. I think if this could get installed it would end my mouse driver problem. Any help?
I have an HP-dm4 2070us and the touchpad will not work. When I go to hidden devices and the driver( Alps) for it is flagged that its not working properly and has an error code 24 for not working or present. I updated the driver and bios (and before that tried rolling back the bios. I even go to Update Driver and it says it's updated and no issues, but then when I exit back out to the main list the error code is still there and it doesn't work. I have to use tab as I don't actually have a mouse. I am on a different computer now. Another HP that I can't get the wireless printer to work on (which is an HP - a gift, otherwise I at this point would not have purchased another HP product).

Trying to use a USB mouse. I have 3 logitech mice. None work because hidclass.sys and hidusb.sys are not digitally signed. If I f8 and disable driver signing enforcement, all 3 mice work, so I'm pretty certain that's the issue.
Tried "Update Driver" via device manager. Windows determined that I already had the best driver and wouldn't do anything. Logitech does not furnish drivers for Windows 7. They rely on the native drivers.
Acer does not furnish mouse drivers. They refer you to the manufacturer of the mouse. Tried copying the files in question from a 64bit machine that showed them to be digitally signed. Renamed the ones on my machine and pasted the ones from the "good" machine. Resolved nothing.
chkdsk /r found problems and repaired them. Didn't help.
sfc /scannow found problems that it could not resolve. Looked in CBS.log and found no references to either of the sys files in question. No resolution.
System Restore only had one restore point, and it was from 2 days ago. Problem was already noticed by then. I suspect that it's been this way since I purchased the laptop a couple of months ago anyway, but if there had been a restore point back at the very beginning, I'd have tried that.
I don't know much about digital signing of drivers. I've seen in a couple of threads that I might be able to sign the drivers myself, but haven't been able to find out the actual steps to do so. Is the digital signature part of the driver file itself? Or is it another file? If so, where's that file? Or is it a registry entry? If so, can I manipulate that to resolve the problem?
I miss XP. All I want to do is use the simplest of all plug and play devices. It's been about 3 weeks and I still can't get Windows 7 to cooperate.
I own an older Razer Diamondback mouse back from my 2005 build. It has always behaved a little strangely in that it would sometimes not power on when the computer boots up, forcing me to replug it into its USB slot. This behavior persisted through my May 2010 build. Just the other day, however, I noticed that I got a BSOD after replugging the mouse. The culprit was razerlow.sys, a reference to a Razer Diamondback driver. And just this morning, it happened again. (I am including the full error below.)I have not updated my Diamondback driver before this BSOD occurred. Since the BSOD, I uninstalled the driver/software and installed the latest driver from May of this year, but this BSOD occurred again this morning after this update. The only other times I've experienced BSODs are with ATI drivers 10.5-10.11 (I've been on 10.4 until this year), so maybe my recent update to 11.6 has something to do with this? I have made no changes to my hardware, drivers (except ATI), etc. between the last replugging that did not cause a BSOD and the one that did.This error only happens when replugging the mouse when it doesn't boot up. If the mouse boots up and I replug it, the error does not occur. I also just switched USB slots and for whatever reason a Windows pop-up stated that the device is being installed, when it must have been installed the whole time.

View 9 Replies View RelatedLately I have been having an annoying problem with my wireless mouse. For some reason the pointer will lag, and be very sluggish and jumpy. I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI probably spilled some coffee on the keyboard and now I can not inactivate the mouse pad in favor of the external mouse. The only way I can eliminate the conflict is to uninstall the mouse pad. That works fine but every time I reboot for something I have to uninstall it again. As you know rebooting is common and therefore I have to reboot twice for every time I have to reboot. Anyone with a solution to this problem? This is a HP laptop. The mouse automatically installs everytime I have to reboot. I do not shut down normaly.
