System Load When Downloading Over WLAN/LAN?

Sep 2, 2012

Since I've change my internet connection to a much faster one, like 00Mbps(12.5MBps), I have come over a really strange problem. It's a PPPoE onnection and I have to dial it every restart.Whenever I downloading something with a high speed, aprox. over 6 MBps(Network Utilization 60%), my CPU usage raise. When it reaches 99%, the overall system performance is decreasing significantly.I used Performance Monitor to detect this and I found that System Interrupts is using it and also UPnP Device Host is also taking some CPU.My laptop is ASUS X54HY-SX030D, my LAN = Qualcomm Atheros AR8151 and my WLAN = Qualcomm Atheros AR9285. The drivers are up-to-date so

Windows 7 Refuses To Load And System Repair Wont Load

Jun 25, 2012

I dont know if this is posted in the right area but I'm so desperate to get my laptop working its unreal. First it started off with my laptop crashing, I had totally forgot it needed to do a windows update and turned off my laptop in hopes that it would work properly. After that my laptop has not been working. The machine turns on and gives me two options. Start windows normally or do a repair. Upon starting windows normally, it loads so far before sending me back to the two options of start windows normally or repair. On the second time I clicked repair. My laptop then goes so far before presenting me with a blue screen that is usually the screen where my accounts are. The cursor still moves but it loads no further even after leaving it an hour. I decided to make a repair disk, hoping that the problem was because of windows. the disk loads, gives me a choice on the keyboard language then does nothing. I honestly have no idea what to do, I want to keep all the files safe on my computer as I havent backed them up and I have worked so hard on the projects.

Windows Fails To Load After System Upgrade?

Dec 4, 2012

Old office computer:

Dell E510
P4 3.4 GHz
4 GB RAM
Radeon x800 PCIE
Crucial M4 SSD 120 GB
Windows 7 x64

New internals:

CPU: AMD A4 5300
Mainboard: MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 FM2
8 GB RAM
Corsair 450 watt PSU
Cheap Cooler Master Case

After assembling the new computer, I ran it without the system disk installed to make sure everything was kosher, and memory timings, etc. were correct. After verifying that, I shut it down and put the SSD into the new unit and booted it up. The system posts fine, but once the Win 7 startup image shows, the system restarts and brings me to the "start windows in safe mode/start windows normally" prompt.

Acer Aspire Z5610, Cannot Load Operating System From DVD

Dec 4, 2011

I have recently purchased an Acer Aspire Z5610 it is a second user buy.Straight away i noticed that it just wasnt working right which is half to be expected im sure when buying second user equipment. After doing some research on forums i came to the conclusion of erasing the C drive and reloading the OS with the system restore disc i created on the computer.I was getting all the way through and it was failing and suggested that there was a fault on the memory disc. Ive managed to get into the back of the computer and removed the RAM sticks and tried loading with just 1 and with both and all the different combinations of being in different ports. Now it gets to 2% and just stops loading altogether its just sticks at wherever its stopped.

Regular BSOD's Under System Load (logs Attached)

Jun 3, 2012

Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit (retail) installed for about a week.

I am trying to troubleshoot regular BSOD's on my system. They seem to occur during HD video playback (XMBC) or under other system load like downloading large files (from newsgroups) where the speed is fairly high (apx. 2mbps).

I recently replaced my single core CPU for a dual-core thinking it may help, but it didn't. Now, I'm wondering if it could be the memory. I did the windows memory check, and it reported errors, but I don't where to find the log or what to do next.

Boot Manager Compressed - Windows 7 System Would Not Load

Feb 6, 2012

I just have a quick comment on what not to do when running windows 7. I had just installed 7 Ultimate liked it seemed to be working fine! Then I made the dreadful mistake of compressing the hard drive. In doing so when the system tried to boot back up the system would not load received message boot manager compressed. So make a long story short I had to load my recovery disk and uncompress the hard drive. But why I have never had that issue with any other windows product until Win 7.

Ntoskrnl.exe Threads Hosted By System Idle Process Load 100%

Sep 23, 2012

I'm experiencing very annoying issue. CPU loaded with System Idle Process always. Because of that there is serious lag in iterfase. Problem appeared almost sumultaniusly on there different PCs. Using "Process Explorer" and going to System Idle Process - Threads I've found processes with names: ntoskrnl.exe!KiDespatch Interrupt+0x650 (on one PC) or ntoskrnl.exe!KiCpuId+0x6a0 (on two others)

I have three diffenent machines - one old acer laptop, one modern desktop and wmware virtual machine running on macbook. All have same OS - win 7 ultimate sp1. All of them are in the same network.

I've tried to localise issue by removing services and applications from startup - nothing, I've scanned machines with microsoft security essentials, Dr Web CureIT and Kaskpersky virus removal tool. Still nothing.

CPU get loaded as soon as system starts. Number of ntoskrnl.exe instances equals to number of CPU kernels. 1, 2 and 8 in my case on different PCs .

USB Sticks Slow Transfer Speeds, System Takes Forever To Load Drivers?

Jan 31, 2012

have been struggling with my system taking 2-3 minutes to find drivers for any memory stick I plug in to any of 3 USB ports on my Acer 1810T. When the process finally completes, the transfer speeds are about 1MB/s or less.Another (possibly related?) problem is when I insert any SD card in the dedicated slot for the first time, everything is fine. Once I remove and either re-insert (or insert a different card), nothing appears. I get a message saying "process is already in memory". I have to reboot to get things working again.

I had installed Linux Ubuntu OS on the machine, and the wireless works just fine, so the problem is something with windows 7.

The Following Boot Start Or System Start Drivers Failed To Load

Oct 3, 2012

I'm not sure where to even begin to fix these problems. Some online searches suggested doing a system repair but I want to get some more feedback here before proceeding. Here is the message from the event log:The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:

AFD
cmdGuard
cmdHlp
CSC
DfsC
discache
ElbyCDIO

[code]...

I realized some of these are not Windows 7 related but most are. While the computer "works", I do experience frequent reboots and freezes. Perhaps some of these driver loading failures are part of the cause of my issues.

WLAN Networks Not Visible?

Apr 23, 2012

Using windows 7 64bit home premium, have tried two different adapters- A-link WNU(M) USB adapter- ASUS PCE-N15 PCI-e adapterBoth of them seem so install correctly, no errors during install. Device manager shows them working correctly, but......there are no networks visible to connect. At the same time my laptop (win7 64bit business premium or something) sees and can connect to networks. Have tried both of those adapters in XP in same computer, and there they work correctly, and show plenty of networks. 2 of mine, and many more from neighbours. Phone also can connect...so networks really exist. I have installed latest drivers from manufacturers sitesif I try manually setup connect to wireless network, get error..."an unexpected error occurs"Trouble shooting wireless network gives:"There might be a problem with the driver for the wireless..."But when I try to resolve the issue:"The wireless network adapter is experiencing problems"Also updating driver "windows style" says that driver is up to date. And it does exactly the same with 2 wireless adapters......dont think I need to try 3rd. Atleast ASUS PCE-N15 shold be win7 64bit compatible

LAN To WLAN Won't Connect To Wireless

Some machines are running Dell WLAN cards and another is running Intel card. Can't seem to nail down the problem. One user mentioned she was having this problem after MS updates so wondering if a patch/hot fix is jacking up these machines. To add salt to the wound, I brought my Dell Inpiron 1420 home today...plugged in the network cable..did some work, then decided to move to the couch.

Homegroup Disabling WLAN Partition?

Apr 11, 2011

I can create a homegroup on either of my two computers, but I can't join them. It'll just say 'there are no homegroups in this network'.I've followed all the instructions here, including disabling mcafee and norton which seems to be a commonly suggested solution. Still doesn't work. Maybe I didn't disable mcafee and norton properly? (I opened Start, searched for 'services.msc', clicked services and disabled the programs.)Then I came across this website which brought up something I hadn't done, i.e. disable WLAN partition. Apparently WLAN partition prevents computers from communicating with each other even if they're linked by the same wireless network. Assuming WLAN partition is the only thing standing in between me and homegroup awesomeness now, could anyone tell me how to follow this instruction:Login to DIR-600 setup page, default url is http://192.168.0.1, default username is admin and empty password.
