Sony VAIO VPCEE31FX Operating System Will Not Load
Jul 15, 2012
When I turn on my Sony VAIO VPCEE31FX the Startup Repair starts automatically, I have my Recovery disc, but when I use the F10 button it goes to a blank screen and does nothing. The Assist button does the same thing and I have tried the F8, ... Can someone please help? I tried to run a system restore but would not complete successfully.
I have a Sony VAIO Laptop computer. The laptop uses the Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System. TodayI turned on my computer and got a message that my Operating System Not Found.I tried re-booting the computer but I get the same message, Operating System Not Found.
I have a 8-month-old Sony Vaio, running Windows 7 x64. The last couple weeks, it does this thing, where the screen goes totally black, and it says, "Can't Find Operating System". The only way to get out of this black screen/error message, is to turn the laptop off. When I turn it back on, it seems fine (except, it does seem to be running slower), but, the next day, there is the black screen/error message again.
I don't know a lot about computers, so these are the only things I could think of trying: running disk check, running sfc/ runnow, checking for viruses, and doing a quick diagnostic check on the HD (using Vaio Care). Nothing. I took it to a tech, who said I clearly took good care of my laptop, inside and out, and he could not figure out what was wrong with it. His only idea was to wipe it back to out-of-box, using F10.
I'm using win 7. I also want to use win xp in my same pc. Last night I formatted my ''C'', firstly i installed xp on it & them i also installed win 7 without formatting ''C''. Now: when I start my pc , it dont ask me which win to load. It automatically load win7, I also went to bios window loader. there I saw only win 7 option, win xp option was not there.
I updated to the latest Windows 7 service pack this morning, upon restarting I can log in however nothing loads up. My screen is black, I am able to move the cursor. When pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE a error message comes up stating:
"Failure to display security and shut down options. The logon process was unable to display security and logon options when CTRL+ALT+DELETE was pressed. If the operating system does not respond, press ESC or restart the computer by using the power switch."
I am able to boot in to safe mode, I have attempted a system restore to the time before updating this morning. However this stays at initializing for at the moment around 3 hours. I have no idea now what to do, I purchased this laptop in November 2011 which came preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64 bit.
i was trying to recover my system by pressing F10 key (VAIO recovery system) as soon as it began i cancelled it out. now when i start my laptop it says no operating system can be found immediately after the logo of VAIO appears.... how can i get it of this problem (My DVD rom is also not working)
blue screen hard drive 0x0000007b 0xf9e4d528,0xc0000034,0x00000000,ox00000000 can not load safe mode what am i to do wont re store just the blue screen
I have recently purchased an Acer Aspire Z5610 it is a second user buy.Straight away i noticed that it just wasnt working right which is half to be expected im sure when buying second user equipment. After doing some research on forums i came to the conclusion of erasing the C drive and reloading the OS with the system restore disc i created on the computer.I was getting all the way through and it was failing and suggested that there was a fault on the memory disc. Ive managed to get into the back of the computer and removed the RAM sticks and tried loading with just 1 and with both and all the different combinations of being in different ports. Now it gets to 2% and just stops loading altogether its just sticks at wherever its stopped.
I recently had to reinstall windows 7 (64 bit) on my Sony Vaio (VGN-NW125J). I have a little ! on my Base System Device driver (shown below). If I try to have it find the driver it says no such driver found. I went to Sony's website and tried to find it.. didn't have any luck.
I've just installed a new hard disc drive to my sony vaio model pcg1111m and then installed windows 7 enterprise now i have lost my base system device drivers?
I am unable to my sony viao vgn-nr21s because of its screen has failed to show any thing meaning full. Please send us any reasonable advise to handle the situation Robert
As my Sony vaio VGN was rather cluttered, I decided to do a total system restore to factory settings. So I hit f10 at startup and went to the vaio recovery console, and chose the recover complete system option.
It goes fine up until 95%, and then just goes no further. The CPU and battery light also turn off completely at this point, but the screen still stays on and I can move the mouse and such like.
There are no error messages or anything like that. I've tried it 3 times now, and the same thing happens.
I was working on an email Saturday when my Sony Vaio stopped working & flipped over to the black & white Vaio screen. Since then, I've been able to reboot it once, but it flips right back over to the Vaio screen. At one point, I was able to get to the Advanced Boot Options menu by hitting F8. I tried to restore to the last known good configuration. It got to the Windows logo screen, then went back to the Vaio screen, then went to the "Operating System could not be found" screen. The computer has a One Touch Web Access Without Booting Up feature.
Ran F12 to regain Operating system - long version. Says computer passes everything but there's no operating system found. Did this Twice. Tried "Operating System" CD that came w/ Studio 17 laptop. Hit option to run via CD & never got anywhere after an hour. Tried Reinstall Hardware disk that came w/ laptop. It shows Vista, but laptop came w/ Windows 7. See where it shows the system's checking things out, but never get anywhere.
I dont know if this is posted in the right area but I'm so desperate to get my laptop working its unreal. First it started off with my laptop crashing, I had totally forgot it needed to do a windows update and turned off my laptop in hopes that it would work properly. After that my laptop has not been working. The machine turns on and gives me two options. Start windows normally or do a repair. Upon starting windows normally, it loads so far before sending me back to the two options of start windows normally or repair. On the second time I clicked repair. My laptop then goes so far before presenting me with a blue screen that is usually the screen where my accounts are. The cursor still moves but it loads no further even after leaving it an hour. I decided to make a repair disk, hoping that the problem was because of windows. the disk loads, gives me a choice on the keyboard language then does nothing. I honestly have no idea what to do, I want to keep all the files safe on my computer as I havent backed them up and I have worked so hard on the projects.
Suddenly my Win 7 Home Premium x64 will not boot. The system starts, POSTs then loads the DVD driver, then the screen goes black (not blank but "lit up" black if that makes sense). Then nothing. If I use Hiren's boot cd I can boot up using the "boot from HDD" option fine and Windows operates normally. System restore to a previous configuration made no difference to the original problem. I cannot boot into Safe Mode. F8 just offers me boot order options.
- Running the Windows 7 DVD I find: "No operating system is listed on the Repair Windows option." - Running Startup Repair finds the following error: "the partition table does not have a valid system partition" which it claims to have repaired, but the error remains and Windows will still not boot.
I followed this advice: Boot 7 dvd to system recovery options command prompt. Type: Diskpart list vol (find the vol letter e.g C or partition number e.g. 1 for the system partition ) Sel vol C ( or sel vol 1, obviously use the correct letter or number) act exi
My system partition was easily identified and listed as healthy so I selected it and made it active. The problem still remains exactly the same. My system is self built just over a year ago, to my knowledge has been running fine, without any hardware issues. I'm prepared to do a clean install if that's what it takes but if there is a way to fix the partition problem without that I'd like to explore it first.
"Missing operating system" massage is coming when i start my system and i am not able to start. I think because , i had given "mark partition as active" option for one hard dive (E) in disk management when last time i opened. it did not have any data. i did not know, this will make any problem. Now i am not able to boot windows re installation dvd also. i can only take BIOS settings.

I am looking to upgrade my desktop from an xp to 7. System builders are very cheap which concerns me. What is the difference from a system builder and the regular version.
whenever i boot my pc i starts making sounds for like 15 secs and later asks me t choose my operating. this started wheni removed my battery for like 3 weeks and then inserted it back. am using acer mini.
My Vaio took a bang earlier today and now windows won't boot up and I'm just getting blank screens all the time. I can't even reset to factory as I can't access anything. Hard drive light is constantly on but can't hear much noise from it.
I have a Sony Vaio NS and I wanted to upgrape to Windows 7 RC Build. I was wondering would I have to install any drivers since I am upgraping and not clean installing?
