EPSON Perfection V500 Photo Scanner
May 24, 2009Have been using Windows 7 RC 64bit system with no major problems except i cant get a driver for an Epson Photo Scanner. Epson have said no driver until the official release of Windows 7. Is there some way around this.

Epson Stylus CX3200 All-in-one driver will run the scanner without problems!
1. Download the Stylus CX3200 driver here and expand the files out to your hard drive.
2. Plug your scanner in and let windows 7 complain that it can’t install it correctly.
3. Open your Device Manager and right click the unknown device it has detected.
4. Click Update Driver and browse to the location you placed the driver files.
5. Choose the CX3200 driver and tell Windows you want to install it anyway, even though it isn’t known to work with your hardware.
Any TWAIN compliant scanning software should work fine now with your Epson Perfection 610!

The Epson sites only provides an stone-old Vista 32 Bit driver. Dec 4, 2011I have recently purchased an Acer Aspire Z5610 it is a second user buy.Straight away i noticed that it just wasnt working right which is half to be expected im sure when buying second user equipment. After doing some research on forums i came to the conclusion of erasing the C drive and reloading the OS with the system restore disc i created on the computer.I was getting all the way through and it was failing and suggested that there was a fault on the memory disc. Ive managed to get into the back of the computer and removed the RAM sticks and tried loading with just 1 and with both and all the different combinations of being in different ports. Now it gets to 2% and just stops loading altogether its just sticks at wherever its stopped.
