Unable To Install Driver For Epson Perfection 1640SU
Aug 25, 2009
I would like to keep my Epson Perfection 1640SU Scanner and therefore i would like to know how to install the proper driver. The Epson sites only provides an stone-old Vista 32 Bit driver. The driver installs without any message, and i even can select the Scanner in the Twain Menu in my Paint Program, but when pressing on the startbutton then comes "An error occures while trying to open the Data Source". Hardware Manager says "No Driver installed"....I'm gettin' mad... I am using Windows 7 PRO - 64Bit?
Epson Stylus CX3200 All-in-one driver will run the scanner without problems!
1. Download the Stylus CX3200 driver here and expand the files out to your hard drive. 2. Plug your scanner in and let windows 7 complain that it can’t install it correctly. 3. Open your Device Manager and right click the unknown device it has detected. 4. Click Update Driver and browse to the location you placed the driver files. 5. Choose the CX3200 driver and tell Windows you want to install it anyway, even though it isn’t known to work with your hardware.
Any TWAIN compliant scanning software should work fine now with your Epson Perfection 610!
Windows 7, 64bit driver for Epson Perfection 1660 Scanner? It's a little old but works perfectly. I don't use it that often and would prefer not to throw it away.
Unable to install the epson scanner driver on my windows 7 64 bit system. Apparently the problem is the windows image acquisition, how can I reload or fix this? I ran the sfc scan and it found no problems?
I am running Win 7 64Bit, i have tried all the drivers available on the epson web site (XP / XP 64Bit / Vista / Vista 64Bit) in every different type of compatibility mode, has anyone got an idea how to get this scanner working?
Have been using Windows 7 RC 64bit system with no major problems except i cant get a driver for an Epson Photo Scanner. Epson have said no driver until the official release of Windows 7. Is there some way around this.
I have recently picked up a rather old Epson EPL-5800L, which I was unable to successfully install on a Windows 7 OS. According to the manufacturer's website, there are no Windows 7 drivers available for this printer. Hardware-wise, the printer iworks fine and has happily installed using an NT 4.0 driver under Windows XP 32-bit.I have so far tried running the available Windows 2000/NT 4.0 driver in the required compatibility mode and with full 'Admin' rights but with no luck as the OS reports that the driver is not compatibile.Looking for an alternative solution, I have tried EPL-5900, EPL-6100L and EPL-6200L drivers. Whereas ELP-5900 and EPL6200L would not even attempt to communicate with the printer, EPL-6100L results in an instant error light coming up. As there is no software control panel, I can only presume that the driver has been written for a slightly different printing processor.I have also replied to Epson asking whether the printer is PostScript enabled as there is no obvious indication in the specification sheet but got some generic instructions. A transcript of that conversation will be attached attached to this post within next couple of days.
from Epson and HP (who made the PC). I've tried the original CD and latest download for my Epson SX415 on my laptop, and also a friend's, but they have refused to load the printer driver.
I have recently installed Windows 7 , and can not print to my Epson Stylus photo R220.
The printer was not in the default list of printers, so I got the driver fro the Epson website ( used the Vista driver ). It appears to install correctly on port LPT1, and the printer then appears in the devices and printers window, but if I try a test print , nothing happens, If I try to print a text document I get an error message saying that the printer is not configured correctly !
So I was playing Cod 4, had plenty of problems getting it to work, one of the problems was that I had to have the Mic plugged in to open the game, seriously the biggest wtf I've had.
But now I got another fresh problem. The game kept on crashing, I checked out what the problem was, and sure as hell, it was the sound card driver.
So I used some guide, uninstalled the driver I had, and downloaded the newest Realtek driver, that's supposed to support Windows 7, although when I try to install the driver er get..
"Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software", no matter how often I press "Install this driver software anyway" it keeps on poping up!!
I have computer with Phoenix award bios utility v1.3 (945 platinum w7176ims v1.3). Im trying to install windows 7 but I keep getting "a required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing." this is after I press install now. Im stuck in select the driver to be installed window. I have 2 hdd 1 is 500gb and the other is 130gb. I try to browse and select the c drive or the d drive.
I boot up windows 7 one day and my disk drives virtual and physical are missing. I try to use windows update to fix it and it manages to find the driver update and start installing it but it fails to actually install it leaving me with what is shown in the image. Why won't windows finish installing the drivers?
So My new Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit PC doesnt seem to want to sleep. I'm away to work for a day at a time and when I get home the PC is up and running.I found this article:Windows 7 will not sleep or not sleepingwhich indicates to update driver, particularly the video card driver. I go to the vendor site and download the newest driver. I go to Device Manager open Display Adapters and find my card, double click on that and I'm in the properties. The driver date is 9/2010 so there is definitely a newer driver. Click on update driver/search on computer and navigate to the folder where I downloaded the new driver. I click next and get "Windows has determined that the current driver software for the device is up to date" and thats it, no apparent way around.
