Apr 22, 2009I am running Win 7 64Bit, i have tried all the drivers available on the epson web site (XP / XP 64Bit / Vista / Vista 64Bit) in every different type of compatibility mode, has anyone got an idea how to get this scanner working?

Epson Stylus CX3200 All-in-one driver will run the scanner without problems!
1. Download the Stylus CX3200 driver here and expand the files out to your hard drive.
2. Plug your scanner in and let windows 7 complain that it can’t install it correctly.
3. Open your Device Manager and right click the unknown device it has detected.
4. Click Update Driver and browse to the location you placed the driver files.
5. Choose the CX3200 driver and tell Windows you want to install it anyway, even though it isn’t known to work with your hardware.
Any TWAIN compliant scanning software should work fine now with your Epson Perfection 610!

Aug 25, 2009I would like to keep my Epson Perfection 1640SU Scanner and therefore i would like to know how to install the proper driver. The Epson sites only provides an stone-old Vista 32 Bit driver. The driver installs without any message, and i even can select the Scanner in the Twain Menu in my Paint Program, but when pressing on the startbutton then comes "An error occures while trying to open the Data Source". Hardware Manager says "No Driver installed"....I'm gettin' mad... I am using Windows 7 PRO - 64Bit?

Jun 24, 2012I'm trying to scan transparencies for the first time after connecting my Epson 1670 scanner to a Win7 PC. It takes a good preview scan of the whole assembly but not the individual slides as on my old PC (so the cables connecting to the PC and the scanner head still work OK).
I checked the Help, and the document cover's cable seems to be connected OK too (I never had an Auto Film Loader), but the options for transparencies don't appear in the menu.
Before I start testing with an XP laptop, which will need the driver installed, or fiddling with alcohol on the connections, does the Win7 driver for the Epson 1670 in fact support transparencies?
