Transparencies On Epson 1670 Scanner Under Windows 7?
Jun 24, 2012
I'm trying to scan transparencies for the first time after connecting my Epson 1670 scanner to a Win7 PC. It takes a good preview scan of the whole assembly but not the individual slides as on my old PC (so the cables connecting to the PC and the scanner head still work OK).
I checked the Help, and the document cover's cable seems to be connected OK too (I never had an Auto Film Loader), but the options for transparencies don't appear in the menu.
Before I start testing with an XP laptop, which will need the driver installed, or fiddling with alcohol on the connections, does the Win7 driver for the Epson 1670 in fact support transparencies?
I can't, after switching to 32-bit Windows 7, get my trusty, faithful Epson Perfection 640U to work. XP was fine, no problem, but it seems to me that Epson have (has?) abandoned this fine scanner as there is no 640U listed in the Microsoft Support section @ EpsonPerhaps there is a driver in the Microsoft Support section, intended for another Perfection scanner that would work? I'm this close to downgrading to XP or else grapple with a virtual XP installation inside Windows 7. Which is slightly less pleasant than having teeth pulled. W/o the benefit of anesthetic
I have formatted and installed win 7 ultimate freshly and now my Epson TX121 (PSC) is giving a strange error. It was working nicely before the format. I've tried the Company original Disc of drivers. The above said Problem is only with the Scanner, while the printer works perfectly. The Screenshot of the error is attached.
Windows 7, 64bit driver for Epson Perfection 1660 Scanner? It's a little old but works perfectly. I don't use it that often and would prefer not to throw it away.
Unable to install the epson scanner driver on my windows 7 64 bit system. Apparently the problem is the windows image acquisition, how can I reload or fix this? I ran the sfc scan and it found no problems?
I am unable to get an Epson Perfection V600 Scanner working. I've tried the latest Epson 32- and 64-bit drivers, VueScan. I'm getting a message from both that the scanner can't be found. I have uninstalled and re installed many times.
W7 RC 64bit. Haven't been able to us my Epaon Prefection 2580 Scanner, either native or XP mode. Has anyone had success with this scanner? Are their generic W7 64 twain drivers.
Have been using Windows 7 RC 64bit system with no major problems except i cant get a driver for an Epson Photo Scanner. Epson have said no driver until the official release of Windows 7. Is there some way around this.
Have installed Epson Perfection 1250 Scanner in XP mode.
I am unable to access the scanner dfrom windows 7.
I have to restart XP mode, USB/Attach scanner. Then i can use the shortcut to the scanner from Win 7, but i then get error message;
Windows XP Mode - Windows Virtual PC

Once it has closed i can then use the Scanner. Which is fine for that session. Once i restart win 7, i have to go through the same again to be able to use the scanner.
Is this right.
I note that whenever i close XP mode, and then reopen i have to do a USB/Attach for the Scanner.
There are no 64bit win 7 drivers for the Scanner, hence XP mode.
I am looking for 64-bit Epson Twain Drivers for Win 7 and Win 8 for Epson Expression 10000XL scanners! Epson did not follow and give a 64-bit version, they stayed at 32-bit...
BenQ Scanner drivers for Acer 6698 model scanner for Windows 7 or Ubuntu 12.04 (Linux). Works fine in Windows XP Pro, but not in newer versions or past Ubuntu 9.x
