Outputting Audio To Multiple Devices?
Sep 8, 2012I'm running Windows 7 Professional, Asus P8Z77-V LK motherboard, and an Asus 660ti.I want to have 3 devices connected through audio out.My monitor connected via HDMI, 2.1 Logitech speakers via a headphone jack, and my Astro Mixamp also via a headphone jack.However with the current setup I can't have audio play through my monitor while the mixamp is connected. Is there a way to fix this with software? Either the Realtek HD Audio Manager or the windows audio manager? I want it to output to both so I can simply take off my headset when I want to use the monitor speakers or mute the tv when I have my headset on. I don't want to have to unplug the mixamp in order to use the monitor speakers.

The Device ID is different when I check on all my registered devices (the only device that uses my account is my one computer). I have not changed any settings, reinstalled Windows, or made any drastic changes in the system. I do not use a router and am using Cox Communications as my ISP.

Possible To Monitor And Control Multiple Router Connected Devices Data?
Oct 21, 2012I recently for the first time went over my monthly data cap for broadband and looking it to it a bit more it looks like a lot of the programs my kids are using are hogging the bandwidth. I don't really want to pay for more bandwidth (as I already pay way above average as I live in a small rural village) but I don't want to restrict too much what my kids are doing. The solution to me seems to be to see if I can monitor and if possible control to some extent the data on each of the IP connected to the router if that is at all possible. I have looked at my router settings and unfortunately they do not permit anything more than traffic monitoring and there are no custom firmwares to allows additional features of any use. Is there any software that I could use to do this?

May 9, 2012I've been having this wierd problem since a few months now.Ever since I reactivated my onboard sound card (I needed to do this since my mic was making wierd noises in Skype) in BIOS one of my playback devices disconnects randomly from the list, but reappears after a restart.This is very annoying as I need that card to use the really good equalizer in my TV which makes my speakers sound great.I have three sounds cards: AMD High Definition Audio Device (From GPU, used for my speakers) <-- This is the one that disconnects ASUS Xonar Essence STX (For music production and headphone listening) SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio (Used for microphone) Facts:
1. The sound card still appears and seems functional in Device Manager
2. The sound card still appears in Playback Devices, but in the "Disconnected Devices"-list
This is what I've tried:- Reinstalling drivers Deactivating/activating devices in Device Manager Installing older drivers I know my way around windows so there's no need to be beginner friendly, I'll ask if I don't understand.

Mar 16, 2011Basically, every time i plug a USB device into my pc, be it mouse, keyboard, HDD or memory stick, the computer makes the normal 'dun dun' sound, but it then continues to make a 'dudududun' noise, occasionally continuous every 10 seconds or so.Is there a problem with the mobo, USB port, drivers or a combination of all 3. I have USB speakers and today bought a USB headset. I can't seem to get them to both to work at the same time when plugged in. I usually like to keep the headphones around my neck while using the mic, but listen to my nice Bose speakers. When it gets to be late at night, just put the headphones on and turn off the speakers. Either way, the mic needs to work at both times.
They are both plugged into USB slots in the back of the computer.

Oct 31, 2012I have three audio devices on my pc (ATI HDMI, Via HD onboard and steelseries usb soundcard) and through all devices I only get audio out of the left channel. I have tried two pairs on headphones and my tv speakers all with the same results. I have looked at all the balancing end everything is set to even on both channels.

Sound Recorder Not Finding Existing Recording Devices?
Feb 12, 2012get my sound recorder reliably working. Each time there is a hassle to get it back running and sometimes it never finds a recording device although my laptop has a soundcard with stereo mix and an internal mic. I had both already working, recording from Stereo Mix and recording from Internal Mic., but I often have to re-estavblish a setting. Rt now although I select any recording device itll give me ano device found� warning. If I plaback a file everything works fine, but the Sound Recorder can�t record it today.

Oct 13, 2011I recently went into my computer to install a Corsair H80 Water pump for the GPU. Anyhow, after i connected all the cables and turned on the computer again i did not have any sound. Even though im not an expert with computers, i'm pretty sure all the cables are connected right (but there is always a possibility i screwed up there).I do have sound devices, that is not the issue. After the first pc boot i had the Realtek digital output (realtek high definition audio) as the sound device. I went into the control panel and pressed sound. The previous audio device (that i had and was working) was there, but stated as "Not plugged in".So, my computer does not detect or react as i connect any headsets nor speakers. I also checked the audio in the mixer to see that it "plays sound" which i can confirm.I have searched the web for people with the same issues and tried a few "solutions" but none of them worked for me.They were:
1. Uninstall and reinstalling the drivers
2. Making sure i got the latest versions of the drivers
3. Turning on the front jack panel in the Realtek HD Audio Manager, which resulted with the speakers apparing to be connected and works according to the computer but still no sound.
4. Tried different speakers and headphones.
After trying several things im starting to believe it might be me who failed at connecting the computer. But if so i have no idea how to fix it, as it does not matter if i connect the audio cable instead of the HD audio cable or if i leave them unconnected.My os is Windows 7 Ultimate.I got an Intel motherbord DX58SO and my sound device/card is Realtek high definition audio?
Using Multiple Sound Outputs?
Jan 15, 2013I like to play games with headphones on so I can hear voice chat and in game sounds, but I also like to listen to music. It would be a ton easier for me if I could play my music thats on my computer through my speakers, and still listen to game and such in the headphones. I have not been able to find any way to use multiple jacks on my computer in the way Id like to.

Jun 7, 2012We just built a computer yesterday and as we plugged in the speakers on the 7.1 audio on the motherboard, there was no sound! we checked control panel>hardware and sound>sound> and it says "no devices found". we downloaded sound drivers from "realtek", installed it, restarted, still a no go! but as we plugged in the usb headset, voila, there was sound! what we dont understand is why wont the 7.1 audio channel work on the motherboard?

Nov 13, 2011I am trying to get my wife's new computer up and running without any BSOD or program failures. Note that the system was not initially set up to capture the dmp files so all the earliest ones are missing. I presented the initial problems to the original seller who recommended sticking with MSE and uninstalling Norton 360 and I did that. Another forum suggested that Virtual Memory was the problem and I disabled and restored VM. Still having multiple crashes and I am hoping that I can get real help here. I do note that all the crashes have ntoskrnl.exe in the driver stack although sometimes alone and sometimes with other drivers.[CODE]

Feb 13, 2013We have three medical clinics and the front desk staff float from clinic to clinic depending on their schedule. I only started here a few months ago and I am working on upgrading their Dell xp systems to Windows 7 systems.The problem begins to crop up when say a user named Sally will come in and sit down at this system for the first time.. Well, she needs to login, click on outlook icon, let it find her exchange PST and copy settings to her user profile, then she launches the application for the scanner that she uses to scan in ID's and insurance cards for every patient coming in.. The scanner is set to default settings and needs to be tweaked on color depth and double sided, etc.. Then after that, she needs to launch her Medical EMR application.. and then choose various options in the citrix client, ..TL;DR - Each user needs to spend 20 minutes resetting the defaults at this updated system.
Well this is fine except, I am planning on updating 2 front desk systems at each clinic, the user Sally will need to do all these things EACH time she finds herself sitting down at a system I just swapped out the previous evening.My thought is this, put a single system down in one clinic and let it sit a week giving most of the float users a chance to work on it for a day, setting all of their preferences etc.Once I get a bunch of them with user profiles on the local drive, grab an image of that drive and just deploy that to each system I roll out..Couple issues I am running into:First would be that I would have to register each Windows 7 copy with a new serial, which I have The next issue is, we have a mis-mash of Dell optiplex systems. 330's - 380's even a couple 320's..

Working With Multiple Monitors Does Not Allow Multiple Desktops
Sep 7, 2012I have attached a second monitor to my laptop which runs Windows 7, however, I need to set different resolutions for different monitors, because the display does not fit to fill the screen on both monitors.
It is also noted that the display is replicated, and I would like to have the effect of having different desktops e.g. being able to use different applications such as debugging code on one monitor on an IDE such as Visual Studio, and, viewing the browser on the other monitor.
Currently it does not seem possible since the behavior seems to be that the same resolution is replicated on both monitors.

Oct 31, 2009I'm having a bit of trouble trying to get two monitors, a small 1024x768 LCD, and a 46" 1920x1080 TV, to display the same wallpaper at different resolutions. My graphics card is older, a Nvidia Quadro FX 1700, but it is perfectly capable of driving both displays at the same time. It's a minor annoyance, but I'd like to get it working if it's possible.

Oct 27, 2009Since installing Windows 7 Ultimate, Devices has been showing my laptop icon with the yellow triangle/exclamation mark symbol next to it.
When I right click and go to Properties > Hardware the first entry is Unknown Device and it shows the same warning symbol.
The right click drop-down box's Troubleshoot, just above Properties, also has this warning symbol next to it but when I run Troubleshoot it is unable to fix the problem.
Device Manager shows Other Devices > Unknown Device, again with the yellow triangle/exclamation mark.
Right clicking Unknown Device and going to Properties > Details > Hardware IDs shows ACPI/HPQ0006 and on the second line *HPQ0006
I have uninstalled it via Device Manager but it just re-installs when I re-boot and I am back to square one!
My laptop is a Compaq Presario C350EA with Windows 7, 32-bit, installed and as far as I can tell, it is working OK but I am a little concerned about these warning symbols.
Set Up Backup, Not Seeing USB Devices

Aug 21, 2012every time I clicked on my devices and printers section, it will never fully load. The green loading bar will only get so far then it would just sit there and not load anything. Also it won't load no matter which path I take. I have tried to research solutions for this matter such as I have tried putting my bluetooth on enabled, turning off my printer spooler and removing ccleaner but nothing has helped.
