how to setup this, i want to setup this to people that have access to my virtual wifi will have bandwidth limit in order not have all my internet bandwidth consumes and cannot have access to certain website (eg like Internet, facebook ,my adsl modem web configure page).

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently installed the newest edition of VirtualPC on my Win7 ultimate machine. Having used VPC 2007 in the past, I was expecting a similar experience. Only to be disappointed when I installed a VM of Win7 Pro, and it was extremely slow. The processor speed reported was 5 Mhz. I find this unusual given my host machine's specs. I assured that Virtualization was enabled in the bios, and the integration tools were installed. In the past i have run XP and Win7 in VMs with great success on far less superior machines.

View 9 Replies View Relatedi just bought new laptop and now Wi-Fi keeps dropping every few minutes and the download speed is low with old laptop i'm getting 13Mbps down and 9Mbps up speed while with new laptop getting barely 2Mbps down (note that upload speed i can get 9Mbps also) so 1) there's no download speed 2) occasionally Wi-Fi drops and reconnects (sometimes needs to troubleshoot to fix) 3) when running troubleshoot to fix Wi-Fi, it is giving that there was problem with wireless adapter or access point (which it fixes till next drop).

I have 135Mbps link speed support ADSL WI-FI router. I have enabled 802.11b+g+n wireless mode and use 20+40 MHz on my router. I use "WAP-PSK" authentication. In addition to that, have a 2.4 & 5 GHz frequency support router and client device.
But my network connection display (WLAN) I have a 54Mbps link speed, why is that? How do I use 135Mbps or at least 100Mbps link speed? Is it a some configuration issue? My Ethernet connection show full speed (100Mbps). (I'm not talking about my internet connection speed).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with my wireless connection dropping. Sometimes it actually takes down the wireless router requiring it to be reset.. Win 7 64 home premium. I know the problem is with this laptop. I have tried 2 different routers and 2 different network adapters . It usually it kills the connection, but sometimes the whole wireless network. first thing I am looking at is my devices and I notice 2 Microsoft Virtual WIFi adapters. I uninstall one, and a few minutes later it is back. COuld this be part of the problem? Why are there 2? Do I need any? How can I get rid of one?

I have tried netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=<name of network> key=<password>. However, this hasn't brought back the connection in "Network Connections".
Having received a report from Norton error 5013,3, I have now identified that I have lost Windows Base Filtering Engine from my Windows 7 Home X64 system. Can anyone tell me how I can get this back. With previous versions of Windows, you could simply re-install Windows over the top but my install DVD telle me that it is not compatible with what I now have (probably due to all the various updates etc. Is there not a download which could simply restore the lost feature?

I set up a limited windows 7 account for them, browser of choice is IE9, and I need software where I can make list of safe sites they can visit. all other sites should be blocked until added to that list. As I said before they aren't very computer savvy so I don't need something that is hack proof or anything. There is microsoft Family Safety in windows live essentials is that any good for this purpose? Is there any alternatives?

I have no idea how to get this service to run. Because of this the firewall doesn't work. And also i can't open any ports on my router I'm thinking.I've used ccleaner to fix the errors in my registry, as well as sfc /scannow. I was getting some error when trying to use the Windows 7 installation disc to repair windows so I couldn't do that.I'm also not infected with zero acess rootkit becaue these aren't found on my computer.
