use Toshiba satellite A300. I had a virtual wifi connection o my pc. but its gone for a long. i tried lots of thing; updates, old version drivers, resetting connection with "netsh wlan set hostednetwork ..." cmd command. but i still had "no internet access" error on my virtual wifi connection.

I am having problems with my wireless connection dropping. Sometimes it actually takes down the wireless router requiring it to be reset.. Win 7 64 home premium. I know the problem is with this laptop. I have tried 2 different routers and 2 different network adapters . It usually it kills the connection, but sometimes the whole wireless network. first thing I am looking at is my devices and I notice 2 Microsoft Virtual WIFi adapters. I uninstall one, and a few minutes later it is back. COuld this be part of the problem? Why are there 2? Do I need any? How can I get rid of one?

I also sometimes go online using another neighborhood network which does NOT have a security key.As of today, I can view networks and connect to both of these (as well as others), but I can't get online. - Disable, then enable my wireless card and reconnect.
- Uninstall the card, then re-install and reconnect.
- Disconnect from the internet myself and reconnect.
Either way it gets super frustrating. There is 1 other computer plugged directly into the router that does not experience any issues. In addition, I have 1 laptop (windows 7) that works great and 1 laptop (Windows XP) which works great.

I can setup the hostednetwork fine with "netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=blah key=blah" but when I try to start it with "netsh wlan start hostednetwork" I get the following output:"The hosted network couldn't be started. View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night I was on the internet at home absolutely fine and my laptop automatically downloaded an update, since then I have been unable to connect to my wi-fi. I deleted the updates and was still unable to connect, so I tried to used a system recovery restore point and every one I use starts but fails to complete.So, I did a factory reset after around 8 hours of trying to sort it out today and I STILL have the same problem. I can plug in the cable to connect and my housemate is having absolutely no issues connecting and neither is my phone so now I am at a total loss what I should do to resolve this. Prior to the factory reset I was able to connect to the wi-fi but it was stating no network access/limited access and now it simply won't connect to my internet at all. It finds my full strength signal but will not connect.My drivers for the Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n card are the most up to date and the laptop (HP G62) says it is working fine.

the xp in the v-box can not connect with dhcp so i have it set manual
