I used to send files to my mobile phone via Bluetooth option in the "Sent to" menu. A few days ago I found out it was missing. A further few days back, I reinstalled my bluetooth software as its tray icon was missing I have reinstalled bluetooth software but still the "Sent to -> Bluetooth" option is missing and I couldn't find the option to enable it.I am unable to send files via bluetooth unless connected to PC Suite.

The other user on the computer can do this. So I copied that icon and replaced the one that was not working. Same result. I have checked the program defaults. I am using Windows 7 and Outlook 2010.

"The file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action, please install a program or, if one is installed, create an association in the default program control panel"
I like to use "FYzip" to open all types of zip files/folders as it works well with my expectations but I can't get it or even a photograph to have a default opening program. I have no problem in opening any format of photographs but that's not the issue. I end up doing a blasted Re-Format of my whole Windows 7 home addition?
I located the SEND TO folder, and deleted the fax option, and added a folder I wanted. Both of thes options appear in the send to options list when I right click, and the folder works that I added. After searching the internet the only help I found for adding my default printer, HP 8600, like I did in Win XP told me what I alredy knew.So i opened the DEND TO folder and Dragged/Dropped the Default Printer into the folder and created a shortcut there. So far so good. The printer option appears in the FOLDER, but does not appear as an option when one right-clicks on a doc. I tried a reboot of the system, but it remains the same.

I was able to salvage everything off the old hard drive but rather than to invest in old computer parts and keep Windows XP running, I went with a new computer routeHowever Windows Live Mail 2011 is giving me and my parents headaches.Personally I don't like the SkyDrive feature. For some reason it never works on my Android tablet and some of my parent's family also had trouble getting pictures via SkyDrive. When I use my desktop computer to view the picture, the picture looks like someone smeared Vaseline all over it during resize. The quality didn't degrade like that when used with older email program and the resize option of the past.
Unfortunately it seems Microsoft saw fit to break what worked for more than 20 years and shove in a cloud type system with no easy option to opt out. So my parents are having a hard time using Windows Live Mail 2011.What they do: they go through My Picture folder and select multiple pictures, then click send to emailThey get the option to resize the pictures and then it's sent as attachment.However WLM does not allow photo sent as attachment like this anymoreThe solutions I found so far including making email first, then selecting insert but that does not offer enough resizing option or easy way to mass resize all at once, and selecting attach file does not offer any resize option. The other trick of making a dummy text file then selecting it along the picture worked but that's still extra step for my parents to do and I still haven't be able to "train" them to either make new dummy file for every new picture folder they created or copying over existing dummy file into every new picture folders.Is there a new way found yet, or maybe with WLM 2012 (if it's released very soon) that allows me to completely turn off SkyDrive and let my parent use WLM the same was as older Microsoft email program? View 4 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to run a complete system recovery (factory restore) on Windows 7 using a recovery partition. Last time I ran the recovery, I ended up having a lot of problems with system programs not being installed correctly, and with the system administrator account. Now, when I reboot and use the F8 option to bring up the boot options, I do not have an option to "Repair your computer" as I had before. I also tried rstrui.exe through the command prompt, but it only tells me that "No restore points have been created on your computer's drive. To create a restore point open System Protection."
I also checked my drives through DISKPART to make sure there were no problems with the recovery partition, but it is showing up normal. On the Windows knowledge database it said that if the system recovery options are missing, then the system is not installed with the options or they were disabled by the network administrator. Given that I had no problems accessing these the last time I ran the recovery, I'm assuming something happened with the account. I am set up with 1 user in the system, which is the administrator.
1) Re-enabling the options so that I can access the "Repair your computer" options on the boot menu.
2) Run the system recovery options without having to get into the bootup menu.
I've had this issue for a long time and it is that the volume icon wont show up at the bottom right of my screen for my pc, i go to activate it from control panel and its greyed out. I have tried other methods like restarting explorer or going into regedit and doing a bunch of stuff.

Now send/receive no longer works. After trying to rechange the names in windows explorer to the previous verion I get the message: operation can not be executed because windows search Protocol host ist open.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn XP when I chose Folder options and then the File types tab, Folder was listed as a file type (Extension=None). I could select it, click the Advanced button and add a program to that file type. I would add the phrase CommandPrompt connected to the program cmd.exe. This then would allow me to right click on a folder and open the DOS window at that location. A big time saver for the work I do. I cannot find how to do this in Windows 7.

As I'm about to try the X-Fi MB2 mod again as the last time I tried it my system was messed up that it wont even recognize my actual X-Fi card properly. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my computer (Asus Zenbook - Windows 7 64bit) for less than a year, and the bluetooth was working perfectly until over a week ago when I installed a windows update.
I first noticed something was wrong when I no longer had the option to send to a bluetooth device from right clicking on a file. Then I noticed if I search for bluetooth nothing appears except for my bluetooth folder containing my files. It's not in device manager or control panel either.
I reinstalled the bluetooth drivers directly from the manufacturers website, but nothing changed. The wifi light is on and works (if that has anything to do with it.)
I just reinstalled windows 7 on my laptop and I cant get my bluetooth mouse to work with it anymore. The mouse came with the laptop but when I go to Control Panel - Add a Device it doesnt find it. There used to be Add a Bluetooth Device in Control Panel but it isnt there anymore.
